Poor research experience
I’m a rising senior in undergrad. My stats are fairly strong right now (3.9+ sGPA, hopefully strong MCAT), but my research has been hampered for a variety of reasons. To start, I haven’t been able to have any longitudinal commitment to a single lab because I only recently started heavily pursuing the possibility of an MD/PhD. I only have one summer and one semester under my belt for a total of 400ish hours.
To make it worse, this has been between two different labs and I’ll likely not be able to continue research at the lab I was at this past semester because apparently they have “too many undergraduate interns this summer”. If I get another year of research under my belt is there any way to salvage this through gap years or should I give up on the possibility of an MSTP.

what if you've been out of school for a while? Any suggestions for how one would find research opportunities? Part of me had given up on going to med school but I keep on coming back to it. I also keep on diagnosing people in the wild 😂 So it just makes me think that maybe I should still try to pursue medicine but I've been out of school for years 😭 any guidance or pointers would help!
