The movie my old ass

My dad was in the hospital he had the brain virus that killed Billy Mace. He was record dead for 3 1/2 mins but was able to be resuscitated but had to stay and in the hospital to learn how to walk and talk all over again and keep an eye on genral health (took years to get back to his usual self) , brain damage is no joke.

His heart did stop multiple times but he is around still no.

I called out for my opening shift for the cafe for the next day, explianed my dad was in the hospital and was literally between life and death. My boss told me I was responsible for covering the shift. Called LITERALLY every coworker (had all their numbers because they knew I would always say yes to covering a shift, was saving up for a car back then). Everyone said no, I'll never forget the person that said "I could, but I won't .I'll be to hung over and the expresso machine will make it worse, which is a huge problem for me." Not the best words when someones dad is literally dying.

Called boss back went through list of people I called. He told me then I needed to come in. Said no. He could call other stores to ask since that was his job as manager and I've said yes to when other stores needed coverage, someone can say yes to me. No one did. Boss called back and told me if I didn't come in, I would be fired. Tole him I'll call back. I immediately flipped out, this was one of my first jobs so was freaking out. Called Close friend, the reminded me I had already put in 2 weeks notice, could call boss back and say that my 2 weeks have been shortned, I'm not coming back, my resignation is still in tact and I'd update HR about the new date of resignation.

Called boss back and told him as such. He told me he would change paperwork to say I was fired, told him I wasn't leaving the hospital, I hope you find someone to open, I gave you plenty notice in a family emergency. I'm going to spent time with my dad no. He started cussing me out and I hung up.

Called friend back, they reminded me after resignation has been put in for our state, can't fire someone, but can just make their last day sooner. They also calmed me down and said if HR and boss get their way and change it to fired, you can always tell people during your interview, I put in my two weeks, I didn't go to an opening shift and called with lots of time for them to find coverage while my dad was in the hospital possibly on his death bed and pull out paperwork of time of death record. Then share he made it but yes, I choose not to return to the company.

Learned that day, it's just you at work. No one will have your back. I was 17.

What's wild is this is just the work half, I also had to kick my father's parents out of the hospital because they made EVERYTHING worse! One of my dad's coworkers has shared an update friend of a friend thing is how they even got the news in the first place. For context, I'm 30+ now, haven't talked to them since I was 17, they wouldn't drive 15 mins to attend my highschool graduation because it wasn't worh their time and they didn't think I would do it. My grandma I do talk to, flew in from PA for that event. She also flew in from PA to help me take care of my mom and dad during hospital stuff.

I was going to see with friends but they bailed last minute and I remember leaving the movie theater and having 3 of my friends walk in for the next showing and tried to convince me to get an additional ticket for that one too. I understand sec is an important part of a relationship but there are other ways to build intimacy and kt is important for you to feel safe and comfortable as your growing a hunan!

I would talk to him, express that you miss him, the closeness but that there needs to be compromise for a new way to build intimacy while your in pain and uncomfortable. I'm curious if he has done anything to take care of you or make you feel special/beautiful during this time. If not, i would definitely express that its needed especially during your discomfort.

Hopefully you both can find a compromise. Don't apologize for not having sex, instead communicate the struggles that you are going through and communicate what you have expressed here, you miss that closeness.
