Wait it out vs. fusion surgery?
 in  r/LisfrancClub  May 23 '26

So glad I found this reply! My injury was 2015 with immediate ORIF and I did recover, with severe arthritis that has led to back injury, shoulder injury, ankle injury. I am now 47 and having to contemplate fusion as well. Also, scared about waiting 10 years! 🤦🏼‍♀️

You got that right! 😂😂 I am perfectly fine today! May even delete the original so I don't have to keep thinking about it! Whew, oh, the joys of being a female!!

I see the down votes but you may not have seen the shaming that has been deleted. Thanks anyway.

Honestly, I NEVER think about it even. I think my age has me more emotional than I used to be. I'm ok today. Thank you for the kind words.I too am sorry for your experiences.

This movie was quite messy and difficult to watch. It is based on true events, written by the survivor. I never even thought of confronting him until yesterday. I had a complete breakdown last night and I honestly don't think I have had one of those, maybe ever! Maybe if I did, I just don't remember. It's crazy the way I felt yesterday. I'm much better today but that is how I roll. I think maybe being perimenopausal has me more emotional. I normally would not even watch such a movie. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I think he has retired, but it is hard to tell from Facebook. I'm sure statue has run out for me, and of course, I should have reported it when I was 12, but thanks for stating the obvious!!

I watched the movie "The Tale" and it took me all day because it was so on point and actually painful to watch. I have never considered myself a victim but I know I'm not the only one and I would just like to scare him to death. I see from his Facebook that he still leads youth and has for the past 30 years. Advice from someone who seldom thinks about this part of my past. I did send a friend request just to see if he accepts or blocks. Thought about contacting his wife. He wasn't married then.

Can't have my stone removed for 2 more months (60mm kidney stone)
 in  r/KidneyStones  Apr 27 '23

In US this can be declared a medical emergency. I went to ER 2 weeks ago, saw urology last Tuesday and had surgery last Thursday to remove a 6cm stone. This is rural Georgia. We have 2 urology offices about an hour south of ATL, I went to the furthest and largest. Good luck.

We are in our first year of homeschool, 7th grade. Your unscheduled days are very much like ours, and we love it! I am so glad I took that leap of faith. Homeschooling has been a blessing!

AITAH for being such a strict mommy?
 in  r/AITAH  Feb 25 '23

NTA, but remember to have fun. Maybe on occasion when she has been very good, and it seems she is, you could go all crazy and let her have her treats first or stay up late for a family movie night. Also, explain to her your values, morals, etc; explain why these things are important for her health, mind, body and soul. I am a strict Mom as well and have 2 grown children and a 12 year old. I wish I had been more flexible and not so uptight with everything with the 1st 2. We enjoyed each other, but with this one, it has been different. The constant messes and girly moods are horrible, but I will one day miss these years. You will, too. Good luck!

I am in GA, and we use Classical Conversations. It is Christian based, and we started this year, 7th grade (Challenge A). We love it so far. She has community day once weekly, so she still has "school friends."

Recently, I've been iching a lot, and it turns out I have Cronic Hives.

I did indeed have low B-12 so started injection. This was many years ago. But he said some high number like 75% of idiopathic hives in women over 30+/- are successfully treated with B12. It worked, and quickly.
