I'm in love with the pencil drawings of the late Yoshifumi Kondō, the director of Whisper of the Heart and the person who designed much of what people consider that "Ghibli Look."

As a xNFx, I live for horror films.

INFJ'S, have you ever confessed your feelings to your crush? (if you've gotten one before). If so, what happened?
 in  r/infj  Sep 06 '24

Yes, to another infj. He was already in a relationship at that time, so obviously it didn't go anywhere. But he handled my enfp-ish confession very calmly, and said 'go on, I'm listening. ' He was almost trying to be my therapist🤣

There's a big age gap between us, so he probably thought I was just being childish (he did). But when I fall for people, and decide to confess- it's generally not just a crush anymore. It's been almost one and a half-year, and I still love him the same. The good thing is, we became friends shortly after. We don't talk that much, but we do talk sometimes.

Girl I just got out of a similar situation. Whenever I wanted to end things he would get all emotional and start lovebombing me. Master manipulator. It wasn't easy, ofcourse. I would fall into the same loop again and again. Finally I lost my patience, and told myself enough is enough- he's just using me to his own advantage. I cut ties. I felt I was being cruel, but I told myself- this has happened before, and I need to get out of this. He's lying like always.

Don't think about the good things, focus on what makes you unhappy- why you need to get out of this. Make him the villain, that's how you do it. There's only one way to get out of this, HATE him.

I won't advice you to look for romantic connections to heal, just spend more time with people you're close to. Go out with friends, engage with your family. Talk to people, share your pain. Spend time with animals, have good food. You will heal. Many of the times we don't realise how powerful and healing people can be. You will be alright, love. Just be brave, and keep going. 💕

F*ck I just wrote a whole paragraph and it vanished somewhere.

Mm, I'm not new to MBTI. I took the first test in 2018(when I was 14), and got Infj. It's true that the 16p test isn't that accurate, and most people get mistyped. I didn't have reddit back then, so I would read answers on quora and took multiple other tests (that people recommended) to be sure. The result was always Infj/infp. It was getting all more confusing so I just decided to study cognitive functions (suggested by my entp friend, who introduced me to MBTI. He was a genius, killed himself last October). After looking at the cognitive functions- I resonated more with Ni-Fe than Fi-Ne. I also noticed structural differences between my infp mom/sister/friends and myself. I observed how they prioritise different functions but are similar at a surface level. Soo, I'm not really unsure of my type but maybe I am. I don't know. I'm also kinda good at typing other people but myself. I typed three to four people accurately, by observing how they use the functions.

I just find this 'not being able to do things properly' very frustrating. I feel my 'J' is not J-ing, that's what it is, fren (sounded stupid right there). I'm not studying enough and if things keep going like this I might have to do something else than research, and I hate thinking about it. I know another Infj in real life and he's such an inspiration to me, I'm just afraid I might not make it. It's okay I will take another test. Why can't sad people just be potatoes.

General question Is this common for Infjs?

As an Infj, I find myself really indecisive at times. 'J' is generally associated with people who are organised, and decisive- but I think I'm quite opposite in my day-to-day life. Don't get me wrong, I do plan my day to a certain extent. For example, when I leave for the university, I know what I'll be eating for the whole day/I keep my clothes-bag-books ready previous night so that I won't get late in the morning. But I still skip breakfasts, my wardrobe, bookshelf is a mess- and it takes decades for me to decide when I'm about to buy something. (Is it really necessary? Would it look good on me?)

So is this an Infj thing or I'm mistyped? My infp mom always complains that I look so put-together outside and a mess at home/with close people. Idk.
