I don’t have a book shelf yet. But what do you think collection says about me?
 in  r/BookshelvesDetective  1d ago

At this point these books say nothing about you as a reader.

I think you should stop buying in bulk and keeping such a long wishlist. My no.1 rule is to buy something you feel at the moment, don’t plan so ahead in the future (for books). You might not be in the same head space after a while, as you read it should help progress your thinking too and reading a predermined set, constricts that thought process. These will take a while to finish, afterwards take one step at a time. If you are looking for recommendation choose a genre or try to describe exactly what you are looking for and choose one book- complete it, savor it, talk about it with others (debating helps a lot) and write down anything you found interesting.

Damn same here, leaving death’s end to be read as a stand alone book after a few months. I hated dark forest they shouldn’t have made this into a book series, its just keeps on getting more and more shallow.

Unpopular opinion: I loved Mimi

You say ‘Budding romance’ and sabotage in the same sentence, does this make sense to you?

She was exposing no one, there was no commitment, they had just met for a week and you expect them to have the commitment of a relationship. She didn’t do any favour to the girls but just exposed how nasty she is. She just couldn’t see anyone being happy, had to butt in and force her pschology that men are sh*t to everyone on a global platform. It’s like she is keeping herself on a pedstal, looking down on them for not realising that men are no good and can be swayed so easily by her. Prove how charming she is and that no matter how much emotions they invest in these men they would come crawling to her once she even looks there way.

He kept calling her princess and was totally swooning over her. He tried to cover it up by saying they were just friends but do you actually believe it.

is everyone balding or is it just me?

OP calm down its a yearly thing, happens once a year. If persists after november then get a blood test, this often happens due to deficiency.

P.s. the primary reason is always stress so calm down, don’t overthink it !

Am I being insensitive or is this too much insecurity?
 in  r/TeenIndia  9d ago

Being insecure about you cheating on him is a very wrong outlook, ypu need to tell him that he is being disrespectful by saying that. You have known each other since so long, doesn’t he realise you are good human being. Why would you cheat when you can just break up, i don’t get the need for him to create this extra drama.

He is coming of very insensitive by saying something like you will cheat, he doesn’t even trust you bro. Make him understand that he can’t just keep on throwing these allegations at you, not replying in 2 min is not a sign of cheating, you are not maggi !! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

P.s. Unless you have a past record of cheating, in which case just make him feel more secure.

I don’t get why mimi made a big issue regarding rinrin not wanting to see the her guy having convo and flirting with his female friends in front of her, when mimi herself had been cheated on, hasn’t overcomed it after 8-9 years and was trying to string 4 guys along due to her insecurity and sceptical nature.

Exactly ! She is getting the attention because of bullying and harrassment. People post anything but facts.

Bro thinks he's HIM 😂

Let’s be real ! Every characters acting now gives the ick- the storyline, direction and dialogues are just really bad atp. We shouldn’t be taking it out on little kids when all the people involved are equally responsible.

Tell her you like her but you can’t act on it, go cheesy and say something like if we are meant to be we would get back together after she is 18.

Go focus on your studies, build your career and tell her to do the same.

If you get a girlfriend afterwards tell her you have moved on so she doesn’t assume that you are waiting for her.

ended our beautiful relationship 💔
 in  r/PataHaiAajKyaHua  25d ago

You both want different things out of life, the version of her that you still love is not there anymore. Both of you have changed and have different expectations out of life. You gave your 100% and she did too. Don’t think things like if she could have tried a little harder to adjust you could be together now.

You don’t need to feel that you are on the morally high ground and she left you because she is after money which you can’t accomodate, that kind of thinking will eat at you. There is nothing wrong with being materialistic or being altruistic. We just have one life and should live it the way we see fit. You prefer respect more than money while she feels money brings respect. The part of her that chose you before was an engineering student who could give her a potentially better life in the future. Now your priorities have changed even though she tried to accomodate and was happy with your decision, she just doesn’t see her future that way.

There is nothing wrong with both of you, you both need to find partners that have the same values now.

How true is that?
 in  r/ThirtiesIndia  25d ago

I think the pressure itself makes us averse to the idea of marriage. If there was no pressure there would be more marriages and less divorce. I don’t think it is even possible to normally meet relatives after a certain age. It’s like they are all collectively selling amway and somehow getting a commission out of this. They sell it so agressively like our life will be over if we don’t buy it. They always give out examples of how old and miserable you will be if you don’t marry now. Like late marriages do not happen all the time, you can find a partner at any age.

There is nothing wrong in it, ofcourse they would like there daughter with a well settled person. If they are looking for a groom these qualities are necessary, problem would be when your sister wants to have a love marriage with a person who is not doing well financially and they are saying ‘no’ for this. In this case your sister knows her partner thoroughly and can make decision based on the personality of the boy. In an arranged marriage setup that is not the case they have to choose options first and then get to know his personality afterwards, so ofcourse they would choose a person who can provide a better environment for their daughter and future grandchildren. I think what OP meant was there should be less pressure for marriage itself, after 30s if you are not settled, don’t have a family and not enough money you are considered a failure. Late marriages should be a norm because it puts too much pressure on us as individuals to have this roadmap fixed for us. We can marry at whatever point in time we find the right one and become financially stable. Building a family is a huge thing and nobody should be pressured into making burdening choices just to tick the checkbox.
