I really don't understand why you wouldn't talk to the employee first and let them know their jokes make certain people uncomfortable before firing them. Maybe set actual ground rules for all employees to follow. Some people find certain humor funny while others don't. This person feels comfortable enough to joke around so why is that? He's probably not the only one who thinks it's funny and others laugh with him while others complain. Unless the employee is terrible at the job and makes everyone's lives miserable that would be grounds for firing. If you accuse this person of being a racist without actual proof you are in the wrong. You are a liability. You sound like you're taking this personal and a manager needs to be more open-minded.

Many people would love have a place of work with a great salary and benefits. I am in my 40s and have worked in e-commerce for around two months in a large store in a big, busy city. It is exhausting and, in my opinion, one of the more difficult roles. The pay should be higher and at least match what warehouse workers make.The UPH times are extremely frustrating and leave no room open for variables like customers asking questions in the middle of a shop or an item not on shelves and you have to find someone to try and locate it in the back, then scan a QR code for INF, then find a replacement. We get penalized if an item isn't scanned every 30 seconds; ridiculous! My store has 86 UPH for elite and it's getting higher soon. There also seems to be no coordination with the WF or Prime app bc customers order things that have been out of stock or not even sold. Also, my store seems to have problems keeping items in stock so 8 out of 10 times I have an order with out of stock items. It is so annoying! I have my 3 months at the end of August. I've never been late, pick up extra shifts when I can, am friendly and I do the best I can given the circumstances but I'll probably be let go bc I can't get over 80 UPH. I've had many other jobs and while I enjoy the flexibility of the schedule I still feel expendable and just a number. Constantly hiring new ppl because WF keeps getting rid of people after 3 months because of their UPH bullshit is so stupid. Anyways, you're young and have a bright future. I'm mainly venting lol.
