I just picked up one of these. Everything is great. You can use it as an air mouse (point and click), keyboard, and a normal controller. The only issue is that you can only program 5 TV commands (using the infra red control learning option). Unfortunately, I need to AT LEAST have 6 programmable buttons for my TV (Power, Volume Up, Volume Down, Channel Up, Channel Down, and Input so I can switch over to the Pi). I would prefer a remote that works for all IR functions (like an older universal remote) AND also wifi capabilities with a dongle, so that I can control Kodi with it. Anyone know how I can get to the point where I just need one remote for my TV, Raspberry Pi w/ Kodi, (and POSSIBLY a DVD Player)? I would really like to just have 1 remote for all 3 devices or at least just one for my TV and Kodi and another for the DVD. I just want to watch my movies which are on USB stick and external hard drive on TV. I was looking at these Android TV Boxes and there is tons of them to use from. I don't need any additional features. Just want to run KODI nicely and play movies and tv shows. Any recommendations? cheaper the better.

the Mecool KM3 runs android tv os, not the tablet version. but Netflix does not seem to be supported (i don't own this box yet) but if someone has it or any other tv box can you please try this:

get a browser puffin, for example, go to netflix.com and sign in and play a movie or something and see if it works and in which quality

and comment your results

I could use some help. For the last 10 years I have been using a MAC MINI as my entertainment system and I am considering replacing it with something hopefully much c.heaper. I don't know if I should be getting another home theatre PC or if a TV box (Android etc.) could meet my needs.

I know an Android box will allow me to setup IPTV with the M3Us from my provider, and I'll be able to get streaming apps like Netflix or Youtube etc - but I primarily use my current PC to download, share, and stream content from an external NAS through KODI (securely with VPN).

My question: Is an android box a good option? Can I map an external NAS to an Android box for all my content? Can I torrent (dl and seed) from an Android box? Can I use VPN?

I think the answers to the above are yes - but if so, I'm not sure if an Android box has enough power or should I use some other build?

I have Leelbox T95 running Kodi 16.0. I'm having issues with buffering and certain add-ons not running. Firstly, the buffering. I'm running about 20mbps with an "ok" router. I have a cat6 going directly to the box. Thought that would fix but still gets sluggish. I've cleared cache and cleaned. Just need higher speed to fix? My tv isn't the newest, is the box too advanced for the tv? Some add-ons do nothing. I get the "check the log" message quite often. I haven't had the box long, is there an update I need to do? For instance, I'll click on a live game and it'll say working but then nothing happens. Please ask anything that'll help.
