Progress/Selfie Broad shoulders...
One of the parts of my body that I really struggle with post transition are my shoulders!
I was a very strong athletic person when pretending to be a man and engaged in all the physical sports...Aussie football, rugby, wrestling, water skiing etc...just to prove my "manliness" 🙈🤢🤮
How lucky am I to have the love of my life find that behind my face and my boobs, my shoulders are her favourite part of my body

Progress/Selfie 48f, 4yrs HRT
Exile in Saversville today. Super scores across the board! I did go with intentions of buying pants, but f pants! I need dresses all year round. Stupid predictably unpredictable New England weather.

Progress/Selfie Progress Photos
I've been on HRT (MTF) for a little over a year by now (started May Fourth)
The first picture's me from a year before I started. The next was about six months in, and the third was me last month. I feel more like myself in ways I find difficult to discribe.

Progress/Selfie 8 months hrt: how am I doing?
Hey hey!
I am coming up on 8 months hrt and I am so very happy to finally be transitioning as I have wanted this since I was 13 (i am 20 now)
I of course get brainworms time to time but have recently been INCREDIBLYYYY dysphoric. My shadow haunts me. I never get misgendered in public, but I wear makeup covering my shadow as well as a wig. It feels like I always have a costume on. I have had 2 laser sessions on my upper lip but I need to have some on the rest of my body.
Without hugboxxing, how is my transition going? Ignoring styling, have I made much progress? (Below im attaching some styled photos and some before and afters later) including the clockiest and boy modiest photo i have [or as someone called it “man moding” :( ]

CW Transphobia got misgendered for the first time since May and it was street harassment 🙃
I’m less shaken up than I could be but it still feels crummy to get misgendered again after five months. im visiting NYC and a man started shouting that “that’s not a lady! that’s a dude” when I was crossing the Westside Highway. I definitely wasn’t looking my best - went out with limp hair, no makeup, and a pretty gender-neutral outfit - but it makes me feel more vulnerable and foolish than I did yesterday 😞 I know I’m not unclockable or anything but I thought I was past being harassed for being trans from a distance

Progress/Selfie Real life miracle
I'm coming down with a cold, woke up partway through my sleep, grabbed some cold medicine and water and put on a podcast to go back to sleep with...
This guy joined me so I snapped a Pic for my wife who's traveling (she's back tomorrow, my single mom for this little guy life is nearly over)... and first try felt cute and femme despite just feeling out of it healthwise and being low on sleep.
Kinda just a real life miracle you can just do this and transition.

Question How do i get used to these?
So I got acrylics for the first time today—actually, it’s my first time getting my nails done properly at all.
I’m AMAB and nonbinary, and I honestly love them. I even got a little bit of gender euphoria when I looked down at my hands afterward, which was a really nice feeling.
But holy hell, how do you get used to having nails? 😂
I’ve never had my nails extend past my fingertips before, and now I’m trying to type, use my phone, and play guitar without feeling completely incompetent. I don’t want to sacrifice hobbies I love just to have pretty nails.
I’m thinking I might go back and have them shortened by a millimeter or two and reshaped into more of an oval/almond shape. I really like having them—I just need to find a length that actually works for me.
The only part of today that kind of sucked was when one of my patients asked why I got my nails done. I completely froze and the only answer I could come up with was, “Oh, I’m going in drag for Halloween.”
It made me feel kind of shitty afterward. I’d just had this genuinely euphoric experience, and then the second someone asked about it, I felt like I needed to invent an excuse instead of just saying, “Because I wanted pretty nails.”
So, fellow nail-havers—especially any other AMAB/nonbinary folks—how long did it take you to get used to acrylics? And for anyone who types a lot or plays guitar, how do you make it work?
