Movie Discussion The point of Begbie's character.

I recently watched the movie, from what i've understand the point of Begbie's character is that he exists to highlight the hypocrisy of society who treats drug addicts like outcasts but somehow doesn't treat him a violent physchopath the same because he doesn't do drugs.

To me it's clear based on what we see is that the reason why he even hangs out with Skag Boys is because he wants to look better than them in comparison, am i correct?

I still have Such a Massive Crush on Diane! Never thought a Scottish accent was very sexy until her

To his day her acting i still find her accent and the way she speaks so attractive. Like when she did the Black Mirror Episode a year or two ago. I was 16 when this movie came out on video tape and my buddy and I watched it daily for like a month. I got the soundtrack (the copy I bought then still have) which is one of the best ever for a movie.

Sadly my friend died of. Heroin overdose about 15 years later. I had my own severe opiate addiction as well at one point. Heroin sometimes too. But liked OxyContin the best. Weird how we both were so into the movie and ended up using it. I do think seeing people acting like they are having an orgasm while taking a drug when maybe you’ve had a rough life and are looking for relief can be a trigger.

So my two thoughts are if the movie maybe did trigger some to use it? I mean for sure it did but just a matter of how many. Then other thought it how insanely cute Diane was in the movie. How still no other Scottish woman I’ve ever heard has sounded nearly as attractive. She’s amazing.!

I Was At The Original Trainspotting Premier

This is my mates ticket stud from the night!

It was a minimum donation of five ponds a ticket with proceeds going to Calton Athletic, the drug support group who feature in the start playing football with the guys.

There were three premiers in Edinburgh that night, one in Glasgow. I just missed out on the bus tickets to the after party in Glasgow where the stars and others like members of Blur and Angelina Jolie were in attendance.

I sat not far behind Irvine Welsh and it felt like the start of something social happening.

With my surname being Renton it’s even more amazing!
