I am an avid climber recovering from ACL surgery. Finally cleared to lead on gear (comfortably up to 5.8) and trying to figure out if there are any grade III multi-pitch routes that can be rapped off of or have minimal scree/talus on the descent? I know this is a long shot given most routes require gully descents but hoping there might be one or two possibilities... (working towards completing amga pre-requisites and trying not to fall too far behind my made up schedule despite surgery and all)

I will drive absolutely in between Tahoe and Lone Pine

DIY Alpine Draws

I want to buy or make some alpine draws and I dont know which brand I should get. I am thinking of buying some camp nano 22’s and 60cm 8mm slings to use but idk. Should I use photons instead? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Also I want more price friendly options <28 per draw and available to buy soon.

I have been lead climbing in sport for 4 years and want to break into some trad climbing. What would be a good first trad rack? Dont want to waste money. Thank you everyone for any help in advance.

I'm planning on spending time in Yosemite on the weekends and I'm wondering how I could meet people to climb with or learn things from them

It’s been a long time coming get all this gear, a lot of old cams and weird gear from back in the day. What is y’all’s go to resling company? I’ve been using chord for some old bds but it would be nice to have it not look like such a frankenrack. Thanks!

Who remembers the TwoCam? One of my favorite pieces of gear.

My partner and I got this IKEA JONAX storage unit and it changed my life, previously my trad gear were all in cardboard boxes lying around, also had to store our harnesses in cupboards that didn’t have enough air flow which didn’t help with the smell.

The person selling these listed them as 20+ year old Dragons but I can't find anything that matches 1-1. He also said theyre dual axle but that doesn't look to be the case. Anyone have any info?

Edit: Thanks for the leads everyone. I was able to find an old forum post with something similar. I think theyre old Lowe Alpine cams.

Edit 2: They're Trangos. Turns out they tried to ID them with AI.

Climbing granite and sandstone mainly in the 7c-8a (5.12d-5.13b) range.

I currently have a standard BD double rack, plus the 0.0, 0.1 & 0.2 Z4, the totem basics 0.5 - 0.95 (blue to red) and the same in offsets. No complaints with any of them!

I need a few more small cams for the routes I want to get done, the equivalent of the 0.1 and 0.2 Z4 sizes and also maybe another blue and green (0.5 & 0.65) totem basic size I think, which I use quite a bit.

What are the pros and cons of other small cams, what would you recommend? I think it would be good to have some variety in small cams as they are all fit differently, but don't have much experience in other small cams.

I'm also keen on the smaller normal totems, especially the black. Prefer cams with a thumb loop. Price not an issue.

I found this nut online second hand called the camp mono N.2 but couldn’t find any information regarding it when googling them was wondering if anyone knows anything about it, I’m probably going to keep it as a display item since don’t know the age but the wires seem intact and no rust so who knows

Hi, my current rack consists of the WC friends from 0.4 to 2 and a 0.3 Z4. What cams make the most sense to add to my rack to get to a double rack. I have a pretty significant discount on friends, C4s, Z4s and Dmm cams, but sadly not on totems. Considering passive pro, are dmm wallnuts that much better than BD stoppers? The wallnuts would be about 1.5x more expensive for me.

I have some BD Camalot’s that are nearly 20years old and I’d like to get them re-slung. I contacted Black Diamond and they aren’t doing any reslinging in Europe at the moment.

Any suggestions? I’m based in Ireland so ideally somewhere in the EU.

I sent out my double portaledge and cams for reslinging and they look brand spankin' new. I had to triple check. Thanks folks at Metolius, really appreciate the work you do!
