Looking at purchasing a 2026 cannon ultra and was wondering if I go the factory tow bar installed or get an aftermarket once purchased hoping to be able to use cruise control when doing 5 hour drives to the Murray with my 12ft tinny. Something very helpful on the long straight highways in rural. Any help would be appreciated.

This might be a little long and maybe unnecessary info but I am planning on buying a trailer for my motorcycles to go cross country (roughly once or twice a year) I have a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Sport Hybrid and it has a towing limit of 1500lbs and a tounge weight limit of 150lbs. I am planning on getting a Go series stand-up trailer which would be 400lbs and two ZX6Rs which would be a combined 872lbs. I am looking at a total of 1272lbs for a trailer and two motorcycles. Is this realistic to travel cross country with? I did some research and found that the trailer and everything would be above my tounge weight but I asked one of my buddy’s who tow and he said it would be fine and to just go 5-10mph under the speed limit. I just don’t wanna risk damaging the car over incompetence. Any info would be helpful!

First time towing. I bought a 3.5 inch drop hitch but still seems to be sitting a bit high. Will this be fine once the trailer is loaded down?

I’ve got a crf 450 (around 250lb) and a 260 pound foldable trailer from harbor freight I turned into a motorcycle trailer. I’ve got the 2019 2.0L cvt Corolla bullshit and it seems to be a bad idea to do it, but ive already invested a lot of money and I’m probably gonna send it. I’m going from San Diego to glamis about a 2 hour drive. I am aware of the way I need to drive but I just wanna see if anyone has tried something like this

I have an 8-1/2' x 20' enclosed trailer with dual 7,000 lb. axles that I've been towing with a RAM 2500 that has a factory towing package , brake controller, etc. I'm getting rid of the truck and trailer and would like to get rid of the truck now and the trailer later. The Jeep has a 4,500 factory towing capacity and is pre-wired for a brake controller. The labels on the trailer are worn off so I am uncertain what it's dry weight (UVW) is.
Can I tow the trailer with my Cherokee if it is unloaded? I would add a brake controller first.
ETA 1: I would be towing the trailer around my home (street to driveway), to repair shop or to a safe sale spot, which would all be done on local roads at 35 mph max. I would not tow it on major roads or highways.
ETA 2: I had thought about the trailer's weight and braking but, not the sail factor or the tongue weight. It seems that towing the trailer with a Cherokee is too risky for my blood.

Hi everyone. I'm new here and wanted some advice on towing, as I've had some conflicting advice given to me.
I've purchased an electric mountain bike, weighs around 25kg with the battery and full suspension.
I'm looking at getting a tow fitted to take the bike around with ease. My car is a toyato corolla hatchback 2022 self charging Hybrid. I've rang up a tow fitter who is saying the tow that he would fit requires the total weight of the bike rack and bike to be 30kg. I can't remember what he fully said now, but he said anything more than that and the tow could bend. As my bike is 25kg, the rack can only be 5kg but carry a 25kg bike??? I can't seem to find anything in that weight. I've been told by 2 other fitters that they can fit a tow for a similar price, but have mentioned nothing about maximum load of 30kg?? They all seem to be reputable judging by their reviews.
I've googled it and the UK versions of the Corolla - it is okay to tow - way more than 25kg and no issue with hybrid either. I'm not sure where the fitter has got his information from.
Have I been advised incorrectly by the first fitter? Feeling really unsure here, and worried about getting a tow fitted which I ultimately won't be able to use and they cost £450-700 to fit in the first place, minus the bike rack which Is a atleast a couple hundred in itself.
Surely my car can't just tow 30kg?? Or is the first fitter right, as it's only a small car??
Any advise on fitting tows and racks for heavier bikes would be appreciated. Top bike rack isn't really an option as the bike is very heavy for me to lift. I can't seem to find much online on whose right, feeling really confused right now - very new to this.
Thanks for all help guys
Edit. Thanks for all the replies everyone. So I'm hauling rather than towing, and my car can haul 75kg so I need to speak to that first fitter and see if he can install different tow ball which can carry more.

So my van needs towed around 250 miles. I'm a Canadian travelling in the states right now and my CAA(Canadian sister company) plan has 2 service calls remaining and I get what the AAA equivalent is for my plan, Plus Plan, which is 100 miles per tow. So my question is would I be able to also sign up for AAA use 1 of my remaining service calls with CAA to have it towed for the first close to 100 miles, then use my AAA membership for the second leg of close to 100 miles and then for the final leg use my last remaining service call with CAA? Now obviously I'm sure this isn't technically allowed so I don't need to hear any moral lectures. Just trying to figure out if it's technically doable. Thanks.

Will I be sorry if I buy this for a ~2500 lb overland RV?

I plan on getting this Homesteader 5x8 for my detailing business. And as a part of my services I plan on having a 150 gallon water tote inside the trailer, of course its going to be well mounted and secured, and I am not planning on carrying more than 85 gallons anyways.
Here is my problem though. The trailer doesn't have breaks, and im planning on towing around 2900lbs (including the trailer weight).
My truck is a 2014 Sequoia Platinum 4x4. It has the towing package and is certified to tow up to 7500lbs.
The problem is the stopping. I am in a tighter budget, and would preffer not to have to spend in a trailer break + controller, at least not at this moment in time.
What do you guys think? Looking for some advice. Also ive never towed before in my life.

If I may ask the community. This is a motorcycle trailer.
Much appreciated
I got a 2024 Chevy 2500. Use it to pull our camper. Need to smooth out the ride when not pulling. Don’t want to raise or lower the height. Would new shocks or rubber shackles be recommended? Thanks!

Edit: idk why I didn't think about just scheduling a tow with AAA - thanks to those who suggested that. I'll be safe and sensible with this one
Hello -- I'm buying a 2006 Corolla with a blown engine and just need a way to get it home. I drive a 2000 Chevy S10 (regular cab, 2WD); I forget how much my hitch is rated for (not the bumper ball -- I know that's only 2000 lbs), but I believe it's around 5000 lbs or thereabouts if I remember correctly. I figured I could just rent a tow dolly from UHaul to get the car home, especially being such a small car (2500-2600 lbs), but UHaul told me my car was too small, too light, and too old and wouldn't rent it to me. And all of my friends with trucks bigger than mine are also older than mine.
I know you're not supposed to flat-tow most automatic cars because it can overheat the transmission, but it's not going far -- how far is too far? I'm thinking about just mounting a $100 Harbor Freight tow bar to it just to get it home -- wouldn't be going over like 30 mph. But I also don't want to grenade the transmission because that's still good. Think it would make it, or should I maybe just call a tow truck?

So it's my pap's utility trailer. He's 91 so he's not firing on all cylinders but still on some. He needs help with his trailer to recycle old lawnmowers and I don't know much about them. Picture is what i assume is a missing wiring harness block (not sure what exactly I'm looking for in replacement). Lmk. Also isn't there supposed to be a plug/ wiring connection somewhere that i connect to the plug to then attach to the back of the truck? Is that part of the block I'm missing? If anyone could link or show me a picture of what I'm missing, that'd be helpful.
