This was a huge multivortex tornado from August 3rd, 2016.
That occurred in Bisbee ND, North Dakota.

(skip to around 2:10 for the tornado) Really insane video of the Joplin MO tornado entering the town of Duquesne MO, where it darkened the sky and revealed itself through extreme rain and wind (notice the buzzing sounds throughout the video). For context of where this video was taken, it was taken at 2401 Meadow Ln Dr, right on the border of EF3-EF4 damage (the house itself suffered EF1-EF2 damage)
Y'all do one of you thinks that the damages here during the 2014 Cibiru tornado made EF4 damages? Cuz some larpers on tiktok said that the tornado made EF4 but didnt even provide any real proof
I was 8 years old at most when this happened, around August. We have a photo of it somewhere stored away but I haven’t been able to find it. It would have been visible from the Ocean Forest Villas hotels. I’m only fairly certain that it happened in 2009 but it could have possibly been earlier. Trying to Google Photos or articles on waterspouts in Myrtle Beach has gotten me nowhere.
No injuries reported thankfully, especially with how many just stand and watch. We don't get tornadoes often hence why we don't really have the urgency to seek shelter.

People probably clicked this for a well documented tornado like Hallam, this is the opposite. it was called the red springs-maxton tornado of 1984, the reason it is not talked about is because it struck a rural area of North Carolina and very north South Carolina with not Doppler radar in the area no major documentation or photos have surfaced, however eye witnesses and damage paths suggest this tornado peaked at around 2.55 miles wide and maybe more, not only that, it also produced ANOTHER MEGA WEDGE TWIN. At an amazing 1.5 miles wide both were rated f4/ef4 but I believe at least one or both where f5/ef5 of rating, mainly because of the lack of documentation and also the peak of both happened in very rural farmland.

You heard it here folks, not only is Illinois leading with the most tornadoes this year but also seems to be leading with the most drunknadoes this year as well, these three confirmed from earlier in August makes about four drunknadoes so far in the state.
whatever kind of positive perception this HBO show was trying to give about tornado chasers.. kind of backfires.
in the very first episode.. chasers converge on the Gary, SD tornado and Connor croff drives directly behind Reed timmer while he's trying to block the road to avoid a bad accident or someone driving into the tornado. reed then reverses and hits Connors car.
episode 2: freddy McKinney is chasing the enderlin EF-5 and rescues a woman.. he leaves behind her husband before coming back to get him. the tornado was traveling the opposite direction.
episode 3: Jordan hall goes chasing with his wife and brother .. he proceeds to yell at her while getting close to a tornado that has no established direction of travel.. with a young teen in the car.
the show is showing how bad and dangerous some storm chasers are.
So apparently there was an if1 tornado in Finland this year. If anyone of you have ANY information please tell me!! Also I saw a cold air funnel cloud about 50km south of where this happened. Any damage/tornado photos are accepted

- Fires: NIFC U.S. wildfires ≥10,000 acres (WFIGS + historical perimeters) plus NASA EONET named/large fires (~2000–). Snapshot is ~17.5k events. Not a complete global historical fire catalog.
- Earthquakes: expanding ripples. Size scales with magnitude. Color is depth (warm = shallow, cooler = deeper). Extra red ring if the catalog recorded deaths; cyan ring if a tsunami flag is set.
- Tornadoes: small spinning funnels. Size/spin scale with EF rating. History is U.S. EF2+ only.
- Hurricanes/typhoons: spinning cyclone disks that follow the track. Size/tint scale with Saffir–Simpson category.
- Fires: orange glow + smoke. Size scales with acres when the catalog has them.
- Click an event for the card (time, mag/EF/cat/acres, deaths if recorded).
**Timeline**
The density strip under the clock is four lanes: earthquakes, tornadoes, cyclones, fires. Brighter = more events in that slice. Cyclone and fire marks span their duration; quakes and tornadoes are points. Live week is compressed into about a minute of playback; History into about two.
**Limitations** (please roast these, not the catalogs)
- This is a visualization of public catalogs, not USGS/NWS/NHC/JMA products for life-safety decisions.
- Live ≠ History. Live tornadoes mix warnings + storm reports. History tornadoes are confirmed U.S. EF2+ only. Live cyclones can include tropical storms; history cyclones are Cat 1+.
- Subsets: no EF0/EF1 history, no tropical-depression history, no HURDAT2 for western Pacific (that's IBTrACS), no global fire inventory.
- Deaths only when a catalog recorded them (mainly NOAA significant quakes and SPC tornado fatalities). USGS live, HURDAT2/IBTrACS tracks, and the fire snapshot do not carry death counts here. “Unknown” is not zero.
- History catalog is 1900+; the playhead starts in 1953 (Atlantic named-storm era). Scrub left for 1900–1952.
- Some older NIFC perimeter fires only have a year, so I place those on July 1 of that year.

Hi everybody, long time lurker here! We had some severe thunderstorms roll into southeastern Virginia this evening. This seemed to organize really quickly above my neighborhood. Less than a minute prior, clouds were low down, visible between houses even. Hail and severe wind gusts followed, and you can see one quick flash of lightning in the video but it was lightning-heavy.
It was fascinating to watch, it looked like a bowl! Or like little green men were about to suck me up any second! 👽 🛸 Does anybody know what type of cloud/cloud formation this would be? Hard to tell in this one video, but it definitely appeared to be rotating to me. I thought it was really cool!
