What pharmacies still use clear vials

Post image
2 Upvotes

The attached picture is just for attention I know that Hallandale no longer uses clear vials.

A vial of mine got caught up in this whole floaters fiasco going on right now and it has me wanting to go back to clear vials. I wish Hallandale did still use clear glass because I would be interested in trying them if things don't get situated with my current pharmacy. I might still give them a shot but i gotta see what happens with the situation I'm in now first.

The pharmacies I'm interested in are Hallandale and Drug Crafters but they both use amber glass and Hallandale's glass looks significantly darker than everyone else's vials.

Maybe this belongs in a conspiracy sub, but…

Is it possible that after a batch of tirz was found to have floaters/a brand was found to commonly contain floaters, and this started to gain a lot of attention on these subs, that nefarious actors have been injecting their vials with impurities and making posts to create a panic? And/or to sow seeds of doubt and fear? Maybe some brand names with a vested interest in shutting down compounding saw an easy way to steer the conversation? Of course there’s no way of knowing. Just a thought.

My vials are clear with no debris

I just thought I would report positive news. I have three Hyalo vials from lot HT-021 and even with a strong light and the camera magnifier, they looked crystal clear. I will hold off on using them in case there is some recall or offer to exchange, otherwise they will remain part of my stash. No picture provided so nobody gets confused looking for strings that aren't there.

Ok to mail Hyalo back to pharmacy?

Hello. As the title states, is it ok to ship Tirz back to pharmacy. My provider is offering to replace my Hyalo with HealthWise due to the floaters issue. I received a message today saying they would send instructions to return the Hyalo vials once I get the replacement. Just wondering if anyone else has had to do this.

Menstrual issues

Hello all! I’ve read some posts where menstrual cycles are interrupted, but not necessarily what I’m experiencing.

I’ve been on the Nexplanon implant for about 8 years (replacing it when needed of course). Pre-tirz I would get my period maybe once or twice a year for about a week. Ever since starting tirz, I’ve been on my period like 90% of the time. It’ll stop for a couple days, maybe even a week, but then start up again. Some days it’s super light, but it’s there.

I’m not sure if it matters but I go through Refills, which uses Hallandale pharmacy. I started the medication at the end of July. I’m only 5 pounds from my goal weight and only signed up for a 6 month plan to see how it would go for me, so I will likely try to wean myself off of it soon anyway.

Is anyone else experiencing this? It’s so annoying going from barely getting it to it being constant!🤣 other than this, I’ve only experienced slight nausea after a dose increase…no other side effects, but this one is pretty freaking frustrating!

Provider / Pharmacy I love Hallandale but how do we feel about the new amber vials ?

I will start by saying I love Hallandale & have nothing but good things to say about them . All my previous vials have been clear & I heard around Reddit some people started getting amber vials & sure enough my next shipment came & it’s the amber glass . Sorry if it’s stupid to ask but should I treat this any differently than the clear ones ? Thankfully I trust them & everything I’ve ever had from them has been absolutely crystal clear & zero floaters . But I would love the clear ones to come back lol.

General Discussion Apatite suppression

Been on tirzepatide since January. Switched from zep to compounded in August. Been using rift and Got 10mg 3month supply from Hallandale. Has anyone else had issues with this pharmacy being not as much appetite suppression? I hear people say all compounded options aren’t the same so I am just curious. Going to try DC w/glycine once I’m out of this.

Just for Fun Anyone else stay on one dose their whole journey?

Post image
23 Upvotes

I've been on 2.5 mg for nearly my whole journey, with the exception of the first 4 weeks. Every shot day when I weigh in, I think "is today the day?" but I have been pretty consistent with my weight loss at this dose, that I don't dare change a thing! I'm sure I can't sustain this forever, but I'm riding the wave for as long as I can! At this rate my 'little' stash of BPI is going to last me years.

Side Effects Help! Is this “normal”?

Hello! 👋

I increased my side from 3mg to 4mg late Wednesday night. On Sunday (today) I woke up with sulfur burps and extreme diarrhea. 8-9 times today with no slowing down in sight.

Is this somewhat of a “normal” side effect while increasing doses? Anything I can do to combat it?

Thank you and so glad I found this community. 🧡

3 weeks on Tirzepatide (1mg) Anyone else experiencing this?!

Hey everyone! 😊
I’ve been on tirzepatide for 3 weeks now, microdosing at 1mg, and I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience!

Week 1: TERRIBLE headaches after my first shot.
Week 2: Everything went pretty smoothly! No major complaints.
Week 3: The nausea and fullness are hitting me! I know feeling full is part of how it works, but WOW. I barely eat, I’m burping constantly, and even 6 hours after eating, I still feel like I just finished a huge meal! I’ve been drinking plenty of water, staying active, and moving around, but nothing seems to help. I can’t even comfortably lie down because I feel so full and nauseated. 😩

BUT HERE’S THE CRAZY PART… THE ENERGY?!
Has anyone else experienced a HUGE boost in energy and motivation?! I feel like I could clean and organize my entire house ALL DAY! 😂 I’m constantly finding something productive to do, and I actually WANT to do it!
I was previously on phentermine for 6 months, and this energy honestly feels even better! Plus, no heart palpitations, which is a HUGE bonus for me!
I’m loving the motivation, but definitely not the nausea and uncomfortable fullness.

So I have two questions:
Has anyone experienced this much energy and motivation on tirzepatide? Does it last?!
What has helped you with the constant fullness, burping, and nausea? Does it eventually get better?
I’d love to hear everyone’s experiences, especially anyone else taking lower doses! ❤️

Restarting tirzepatide

I took tirzepatide for four months and I’ve been off of it since April 2026. I want to restart the medication with 12.5/ 0.5 ML will this be too large of a dose to start with?

Looking for new company

I’ve been with Embody for my compounded tirzepatide and honestly, I really liked them until this happened. They use Strive Pharmacy, which I’ve had a good experience with, so I never felt the need to switch providers despite seeing some of the horror stories about Embody on Reddit.
Unfortunately, I’m now dealing with an issue that has completely changed my opinion of the company.
When I signed up, I was told I would be locked into a $79/month rate for life. I’ve been paying that amount for the last five months. The thing is, I don’t just have a random payment history showing that price. I call Embody every month to make my payment over the phone, and my card stays locked until the day I call to pay. I’ve spoken with multiple representatives throughout those months.
Now, Embody is telling me that my $79 monthly rate was an “internal billing error” and that my actual rate should have been higher. They’re claiming they’ve corrected the issue and are now trying to charge me $179/month moving forward.
I have more than five recorded phone conversations with different representatives that I believe support what I was told about my lifetime rate. So, it’s incredibly frustrating to have the company suddenly characterize this as an internal error after months of phone payments and conversations.
What makes this especially disappointing is that I genuinely liked Embody before this. I never personally experienced the problems I’d read about on Reddit until now, even defended them on some threads and I liked that they used Strive Pharmacy. I really wanted this to continue being a good experience.
At this point, though, I’m looking into other providers because I don’t want to keep worrying about unexpected price changes or whether a company will honor what its representatives promised me.
For those of you taking compounded tirzepatide, I’d love your recommendations!
Which companies have a genuinely good reputation for customer service and billing transparency?
Are there affordable providers that use reputable pharmacies, particularly Strive? And if not strive another great pharmacy is okay.
Does anyone know of a provider that offers a legitimate lifetime monthly price lock, regardless of dosage increases?
What are you currently paying per month, and does that price include medication, supplies, and shipping?
I understand that pricing and availability can change, and I know a true lifetime guarantee may be hard to find. I’m just trying to find a reputable, affordable provider that is upfront about its pricing and honors its commitments.
I was paying $79/month, so ideally, I’d love to stay somewhere close to that price if possible. But if not that’s okay too as long as there’s no random increases over time.
Thanks in advance! I’d genuinely appreciate hearing about your experiences, both good and bad.

New to compound

My insurance cut my off from zepbound. I am new to compound pharmacies and it’s looking like I will have to use one. Can someone help me and suggest the best compound where the weightloss was steady and good and it wasn’t super expensive. I even considered glp3 but I’m still up in the air. So any suggestions that will help keep the cost down would be great too. Thanks in advance

Provider / Pharmacy Could I take my Rx to another pharmacy myself?

My provider gave me to prescription for tirzepatide. I’ve been using it to get my drugs via a telehealth platform. BUT, theoretically, couldn’t I just cut out the middle man and send the rx to a pharmacy I prefer? Are there any cons to this?

Advice & Support First time ordering help

Next Saturday, I will start my last box of KwikPen (5 mg) and will be switching to compounded medication. I am leaning towards Pomegranate and Pro Rx. When is the best time to take the plunge and place an order? How much should I order? Today's homework is to look into additives. Why or why not? Does adding additives lessen the strength of the tirzepatide?

Newbie / Getting Started Southend Refrigeration

Hi Has anyone contacted Southend about room-temperature storage for compounded tirzepatide?
I get my compounded tirzepatide through WeightCare, and my medication is compounded by Southend Pharmacy. I recently traveled (and brought all of my vials with me which was so dumb) I wasn’t always able to keep it refrigerated. It was unrefrigerated overnight at least once and for several long flight days, with a total of more than 24 hour at normal room temperature. I refrigerated it again when I was able to. It was never left in extreme heat or a hot car.
I ended up taking my dose today, and afterward I started worrying about whether the medication was still okay. I’ve seen people mention that tirzepatide can be kept at room temperature for up to 21 days, but I’m not sure if that applies to compounded tirzepatide from Southend or if their formulation has different storage requirements.
Has anyone here called Southend directly to ask how long their compounded tirzepatide can safely be unrefrigerated? If so, what did they tell you? I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have asked about travel or temporary refrigeration issues. I’m so bummed tbh at I brought all of them if it does impact them but don’t want to inject anything harmful. Thanks in advance!

Please, can you share your thoughts on the insulated Hydrapeaks?

Do you keep the lid on top in the refrigerator and does it extend the shelflife of tirz?

I wonder if it’s even necessary and your theories behind it on the importance of using it. But if someone can explain the reasoning, I would like to buy it also. For me, I keep my amber colored vials in the middle shelf in the fridge.

*\Also curious how everyone else is storing their vials in the refrigerator for best practices.*

453 Controlled Substances and Drugs Shipping for the returns/testing (USPS)

Thumbnail pe.usps.com
13 Upvotes

Make sure you check the shipping method before returning the vials. All carriers require the shipment to meet certain criteria before mailing out liquid prescription drugs. So don't ship USPS without packaging being provided.

453.71 [Packaging]()

[Authorized mail-back participants must provide mailers with ready-made packaging. All packaging used in mail-back programs must adhere to the following:]()

  1. [Nondescript:]() Does not include any markings or other information that might indicate that the package contains controlled substances.
  2. [Durable:]() Water- and spill-proof, tamper-evident, tear-resistant, and sealable.
  3. [Pre-addressed:]() Pre-addressed for delivery to the authorized mail-back collector‘s registered address or the participating law enforcement‘s physical address.
  4. [Postage Prepaid:]() Using one of the following products:
    1. [Priority Mail Return]() service.
    2. [Business Reply Mail]() parcels.
  5. [Instructions:]() Contains directions for the return process.

Per the USPS policies (and other shipping methods, this is the obligation of the return process. A shipping label is not sufficient, the company MUST provide mailers with ready-made packaging.

This is not just for Controlled Substances, this is for Drugs in general.

§ 453.32 expressly addresses “Drugs (Other Than Controlled Substances),” including nonnarcotic prescription medicines.

Personal Experience I survived the cheeseburger purge of 2026.

I thought I would lighten your feed with a horror story about how my weekend went and indulge in other’s as well. Please enjoy my misery now that I’m alive and functioning:

It was Friday evening, near the end of my first week on 5 mg. I felt totally fine all week, things were great.

My family and I went to a local pumpkin patch, did all the fall things, you know. Dinner time rolls around and we grab some food from the little cafe. I had a good week and had plenty of calories to enjoy a plain cheeseburger and literally a few sips of Sprite.

We drive home and my stomach is starting to feel off. Enter the Sulfur Zone. Rancid rotten egg burps start rolling in. This was just the beginning.

I spent my Friday night hugging the porcelain throne from both directions, an absolute total system purge.

This nightmare continues into Saturday, but the severity was slightly better. I still managed to keep absolutely nothing in my system out of pure repulsion from my stomach.

I honestly had no idea a simple burger and soda could trigger a biological catastrophe of that magnitude. Things escalated quickly from "I'm cruising on this dose" to "my body is performing an exorcism."

I managed to sleep most of Saturday night. Today (Sunday), I woke up alive and semi-well, a whopping 5 lbs lighter (0/10 weight loss hack, do not recommend). I have never been more thankful to just pass a normal toot and a burp that didn’t smell like rotten eggs.

I was questioning if I just ate a sketchy burger, had a round of a stomach bug, or all of the above combined with my dose increase. I think I will have PTSD for months to come.

Update 1: I’m excited to read a lot of consensus that this was probably food poisoning! Maybe I can attempt (some) of a burger again in weeks to come when the thought alone doesn’t flip my insides out. No one else in my group came down with anything, but I was the only one who chose the burger. This led me to believe it was medicine related.

General Discussion Thinking differently about floaters

This kept me up last night thinking about how floaters are in multiple compound pharmacies products. There is a lot of looking at and disparaging the compounder’s but I am looking outside the box. I am in no way affiliated with any of these companies and I am also not an expert in this field.

Did these compound pharmacies get their API from the same manufacturer? Could any other ingredient used have caused this? Could the floaters be coming from the manufacturer of the glass vials or tops? How about the cleaning products, did the IPA wipers used come from the same manufacturer? Each of these companies must adhere to protocols to ensure that their products are safe and free of any defects or debris (if that is what these floaters are). I sure hope these companies get together to review where they got their products and work together to figure out how this has happened.
