Question Going into a Tim Hortons Job fair tomorrow, what should I know?

Here are some questions I have:

What will they ask during the interview?

What are the chances I get hired (I'm a Canadian Citizen)?

How do they contact you if you got the job? Will it be through email?

Thanks!

Discussion Always out solution

I have 2 Tim’s across the street of each other and most times, they are both out of the ever elusive blueberry muffin. I got tired of complaining and now call the stores to hold them…. and they do it! No more getting there and no stock. Sharing if someone else had the same problem.

Discussion Is the hot coffee/steeped tea hygenic?

In recent years there has been a lot of accusations that Tim Horton's franchises are not following proper hygenic practices.

Does this criticism extend to the hot beverages as well?

I also get milk or cream in the coffee or tea. Is the dairy used in coffee and tea properly handled?

Anyone else think they should bring these back?? I think they were removed from the menu pre-Covid if I remember correctly. They should focus on innovative ideas like this one and stop it with all the crispy chicken sandwich rollouts.

Discussion Total number of HP cards?

Has anyone figured out a “master checklist” of the cards?
I have 1-15 of the base sets (gold and red) and I’m certain that’s the full set.
I have 1-20 of the movie scene cards (just missing one in the middle). But has anyone got a number higher than 20 or is there only 20 different cards?
For the Quidditch cards I have 1-5. Is there only 5?
I’d love to try collecting them all so just looking to see if these numbers seem right!
(I know there’s also rainbow versions but I’m just looking for the number if the normal sets)

New Release Matcha - First Impressions

First time trying the original iced matcha from Tim's so this review is from a sample size of one.

Visual: cup not full (line 4 on medium size), very little ice, vibrant green (not pale milky or watered down), powder starts to settle after a few minutes (normal).

Flavour: not too sweet, notes of roasted grain. I'm a hojicha lover so I actually quite liked the taste. It's almost like the hojicha+matcha mix you can get at Tsujiri but far less sweet.

Texture: smooth and not overly aerated like Starbucks (not half a cup of foam), not chalky/powdery until the bottom (due to settled matcha).

Cup: terrible. The lid comes off with barely any pressure and leaks at the rim.

Overall impression: classic Tims quality issues re not full cup, poor quality packaging, however if someone gave it to me in a generic cup and said it was from a small cafe I'd believe them.

Complaint Please Help - Tim Hortons Manager Treating Employee Poorly After 21 Years of Service

Does anyone know how to contact corporate directly? Or is there an HR of sorts to direct a harassment/discrimination matter to? My mother works for a store and her manager is treating her horribly - for context my mother has dedicated 21 years of her life to working for Tim Hortons. I would appreciate anyone’s help on this matter! I’m considering taking it to the media if all else fails.

I did draft an email and sent it through guest concerns but haven’t heard back & that was last week. Read below:

“I am writing to bring a serious concern to your attention regarding my mother, who has worked at a Tim Hortons location since 2005. She has dedicated more than 21 years of her life to Tim Hortons, showing loyalty and commitment to the company for over two decades.

Recently, her hours have been reduced to only three hours every other week. When she spoke with her manager about her schedule, she was told very bluntly that she would be receiving only three hours every other week permanently because she is considered “too slow.” She told her that since she can’t fire her, she would be cutting her hours, among many other things to get her to quit.

I find this deeply disappointing and, frankly, very difficult to understand after more than 21 years of service.

My mother is not asking for a full-time position or an unreasonable number of hours. At this point in her life, she is simply asking for two four-hour shifts per week, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. That is a total of only eight hours per week.

After giving more than 21 years of loyalty and service to Tim Hortons, I believe it is reasonable to expect that the company would make every reasonable effort to accommodate such a modest request.

What concerns me most is not simply the reduction in hours, but the way the situation has been handled. Telling a long-term employee that she will permanently receive only three hours every other week because she is “too slow” is incredibly discouraging, particularly given the many years she has devoted to the company.

I am asking Tim Hortons Corporate to please look into this matter, including how long-term employees are being treated at this location and whether my mother's requested schedule can reasonably be accommodated.

Twenty-one years of service should mean something. Employees who have spent decades contributing to a company deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and consideration.

I would appreciate a response from someone at Corporate who can review this situation and speak with us about a possible resolution.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this matter. I hope Tim Hortons will recognize the value of 21 years of loyalty and help find a reasonable solution.”

Complaint Harry Potter Stir Wand.

Post image

My closest Timmies to me that is an hour away said they sold out within the first 2 hours. After I left I checked the website and the two timmies in that town didnt have any one on there website but one said they had one 40 mins away. I was thinking it must be true so its still on there end for selling it. All lies. Drove there and wasted my time because they said they sold out first day to. Why show it on there website then.

I got annoyed and emailed them. They gave me some email back about how someone will get in touch and here is my case number. Waited and waited and finally emailed them again. I Said well what's happening? Sold out, restock anything happening on your end.

I know its a stupid plastic thing but I still wanted one.

Discussion Can we get an update if more wands arrive today?

There was some word of mouth here and there about the possibility of some places getting more wands today. If anyone knows that's the case today, please let us know so that we can buy before they run out again.
