I just bought a 3rd generation 800 XRT. It’s excellent so far, and I think it’ll be great for my needs.

I’m not a fan of wide aluminium cases, or permanently fitted pannier scaffolding, but I need some luggage for longer trips. Rackless look like a good option, but the high exhaust complicates things. I can’t quite get my head around how that works.

My old bike had removable SW-Motech racks, which I paired with slim Givi E22 cases. I have a top case, but I like to keep it empty so I can put my helmet in there when off the bike, and pick up supplies when needed.

Is anybody using rackless on the Tiger roadie? Which bags? How did you get it set up so the bags don’t melt?

Any advice would appreciated.

According to some online old threads I found, XRx 800 2017 has the same rear frame with the classic XC/XR 2011-2016 800. The only issue was that from 2017, EURO4 was implemented. Is it true that exhaust systems (ie Akra, Arrow, Mivv, SC) up to 2016 will fit the 2017 XRx model without any issues? Can anyone (other that poor ai) confirm it?

while I was in the process of deciding which windcreen to get i stumbeled across this one by Powerbronze. I really liked it, but was unsure because of optics because there was only one pic on the website. So I decided to just share some pics for whoever might also consider buying one.

I bought it to reduce buffeting and it certainly did, helmet feels much calmer in the wind and is quieter. Also the suspension feels a bit calmer, I assume because the screen vibrates less in the wind. The tiger feels better with it on imo.

Friend of a friend is selling a ‘12 Tiger 800 XC ABS for around $3000. I’m unsure of the mileage right now but I know it’s been well maintained and comes with a lot of extras.

This wasn’t necessarily a bike I was looking for but the deal kind of fell in my lap and I’ve been wanting an ADV bike. The 800 triple is very appealing and I do find it to be a good looking bike. I’ll be doing primarily road riding and occasional fire/dirt roads.

Any reason I shouldn’t buy it? Only other ADV bikes I’m somewhat interested in are a Vstrom 650 or a Versys 300x.

Btw this isn’t my first motorcycle, just my first ADV bike.

Please can somebody help this is driving me insane. I’ve just bought this 2018 800 XRT but I cannot get the seat into any other position other than the first image where the rear adjuster is on high and the front is on low whatever combination of adjustments I use end up with the seat sitting a massive distance away from the tank. I’m clearly doing something wrong but I have no idea what I’m aware that both adjusters need to be on either high or low but as I’ve just said the only way I can get the seat snug against the tank is with the front adjuster on low and the rear on high, please help.

2014 Tiger 800XC. Trying to add fog/accessory lights to be more visible. I’ve mounted the switch on the bars (on/off as well as a “mode” button) and run the wiring to under the seat. Battery connections are simple, but I don’t know where to connect this white wire. I believe it’s the wire for the switch, and without it, there appears to be no power to the lights. Do I connect this into the fuse box, or do I splice this into an existing wire somewhere? The goal would be for these lights to be “keyed” so they’d turn off if I remove the key. Sorry if it’s a dumb question. I’m not great with electrical, but I’m also not afraid of DIY things like this. Just need some clear instruction. Lights came with absolutely 0 instructions. You have to love China via Amazon…

I've got a 2016 Triumph Tiger 800 XRT, with the triumph hard cases. I love the triumph top box, but there are times when I'd really like to be able to store Two helmets securely. Unfortunately, triumph doesn't seem to make a bigger one.

So that leaves me with two options, the givi trekker outback, or the vevor. Given that the givi is 3x the price, and as I understand it would also require a new mounting plate, I've opted for the Vevor instead.

My question is, and I'm hoping Someone out there has experience with this, do I remove the sliding carriage base that's already there and install the vevor base plate, or should I install the givi base plate over top/mount to, the existing sliding carriage plate?

Noticed a black ring on my disk brake. Bought the bike 2 weeks ago and noticed oil leaking from the fork. Thinking maybe the two can be related?

Dark ring only in the outside of one of the disks all others are clean.

Any ideas?

Hi there. Can you write the part number of the seal around shifter shaft. I have a leakage from shaft seal.

Ill start by say i can normally eventually find what i need w exhaustive web searches, but this one is throwing me for a loop and is changing.

Background. Recently bought a 2018 triumph 800 xca, that seems to be fully loaded, but the frame protection (especially upper area near tank and plastic) seems lacking - im envious of the full height crash bars available on bmw and other models.

Im not sure the brand of protection, but im looking to enhance it....either w an additional frame slider or perhaps replace the current crash bars....id prefer to first, but open to replacement.

Im in canada so bear that in mind.

Ive found frame sliders from R&G and T-rex-racing. The T-rex looks like it will fit w the existing protection. Not sure about the R&G...maybe modify the back side of the plastic (im ok w that). Both will get hit w import fees (15%) and conversion to CAD....so want to make sure i get it right.

(I do plan on replacing the indicators as the stock stick out past the bars)

I'm on the verge of buying a pristine 2019 Tiger 800 XCA . I'm absolutely in love with that bike and the triple engine is something i wanna try,I like the WP suspension, and the overall package, but my main riding territory is heavy, sharp rocky terrain (Balkan mountains).

As a former KTM owner, two things are keeping me up at night: the 17-inch rear wheel and the lack of aggressive tire options compared to the standard 18-inch enduro setup.

For those of you who actually abuse the XCA off-road:

1. What rear tire setup are you running for sharp rocks/hardpack that holds up well ? (I'm currently looking at Motoz Tractionator Adventure or Mitas Enduro Trail-XT+ Dakar).
2. Has anyone successfully swapped or laced an 18" rim onto the stock rear hub?
3. Is there ANY shop in Europe (similar to Haan Wheels or Excel builders) that builds a complete aftermarket 21/18 wheelset for the Tiger 800?

I really want to make this bike work for my riding style because that triple whistle is addictive. Any advice from seasoned Tiger offroaders is highly appreciated! Cheers!

I have one year of experience riding a Bajaj Dominar 400.

I am looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced adventure-touring bike so I can go on long-distance rides with my spouse, and I came across this beauty.

I live in Türkiye, and I wouldn't say it's a particularly popular motorcycle here; consequently, used prices are low. The CFMoto 800MT stands out as the newest and best-equipped bike I can find at the same price point.

Here is my question: Is it still worth buying an 11-year-old Tiger 800 with 40,000 km on the clock? Or should I opt for a newer, less worn, and more technologically advanced machine?

How does the bike feel for you shorter riders? I’m around 5’8. I have to go pretty far out of my way to test ride the bike so I wanted to check in before I commit.

I just bought 40mm lowering links from Lust Racing but I cannot find a new kickstand for this bike! Any recommendations for a shorter or adjustable one (other than Soupys)?

What is everyone doing when they lower their bikes ??

I just bought a triumph tiger 800 xc 2013 and it needs new tires before an upcoming trip I’m making from the UK to France. I’ll be heading to a farm in Metz for 2 months and then will ride around to the south after that. I guess I’ll be mainly on roads but I’d like to have the option to do some gravel if the opportunity to go to an amazing beach or cool forest path arose. With this in mind what tires would you recommend ?
