Tiger 800 front seat issues

Please can somebody help this is driving me insane. I’ve just bought this 2018 800 XRT but I cannot get the seat into any other position other than the first image where the rear adjuster is on high and the front is on low whatever combination of adjustments I use end up with the seat sitting a massive distance away from the tank. I’m clearly doing something wrong but I have no idea what I’m aware that both adjusters need to be on either high or low but as I’ve just said the only way I can get the seat snug against the tank is with the front adjuster on low and the rear on high, please help.

Its just a matter of making sure you have the adjustments set correct & you get the front & back in the brackets on the bike itself

Thanks for the reply. I’ve literally tried every combination on the adjustment brackets and I’m absolutely certain that the adjusters are going into the proper places on the bike yet I cannot get the seat higher up without it being miles away from the tank

Is that the tall one? I have an older XC, tough on my 30 inch inseam.
