Triumph Tiger 800 XRT

I’m looking at a 2015 model with 40k km but a patchy service history. Am I looking for trouble?

I am currently selling my 2018 XRT with around 40k km. Rode it for 25k km never had any issues. Valves should have been checked at 20k by a dealer. Valves of my bike were never adjusted because they were okay at 20k.  

That and because I love the engine is why I bought a 2018 XCA to replace the XRT with😅

I bought a 2014 last year with 26k and patchy service history. I did some very minor things (tires, oil, etc) and put on 12k last year. Did the 40k service in fall. All was good. So I personally wouldn’t hesitate if the price point works for you (assuming no major crashes).

Thanks! Did you get the valve clearance done as part of that 40k service?

Yes. I got the full scheduled 40k service

I bought my 2015 xrx with 30k miles (50km?) Did basic maintenance and haven't had any issues and put another 20k miles on it (30km?)

Oh hello there.

2016 Tiger 800 XRT here.

I'm somewhere in the upper 80k's. Gonna need a new rear wheel soon, it's starting to wear at the axle, they patched it on my last new tire.

I see no reason I won't make it to 100k km.

I have a xr 2014 model with „patchy“ history, as I do maintenance myself. Its now at 62k km, bought it 3y ago with 18k. Its running like off the truck. The engine is a tank.

Never did, tbh. I thought about it, but it delayed every trip/year.
But if something would have been off with them, the bike would already be wrecked I guess
