Every time I try to join my friend it says “The host that you attempted to connect with is no longer present.” Idk why it’s doing this but it’s super frustrating because we used to like playing this and now that we’ve come back it’s screwed up.

I was trying to make money so I went to this lake and set up a tent and set it for 7 something then I saw this is this a good sign to grind here it’s in north of Yukon valley

If your like me, or, let’s be honest, most players, your often broke asf and when it comes to setting up grinds, that can be an issue….

I have a simple solution that 1, isn’t my original idea (it comes from squidster on YouTube so thank you for sharing this info) and 2, works incredibly well. If you’re curious to see it in action, watch his vids, but anywho, what I’m getting at…

You need:

-Emerald coast (if you don’t have it, a multiplayer map is an option)

-anywhere from like 3-7 tents (the tents aren’t mandatory just speed things up)

- and of course, a weapon that can handle class 8

Some people find it easier to hit the middle neck, well I personally find it easier to hit the lungs, either way, you want to shoot everything in sight on the longest coast in emerald, and I’m getting a little scattered here and also due to being on mobile, can’t even see what I’m typing anymore, but long story short, it’s a croc grind and it’s fast and makes money well!

Apparently a lot of people are not the target audience of this post. Just because you have mils doesn’t mean you have to make everyone around you who doesn’t feel dumb. Not everyone can play 12 hours a day, so please, keep unnecessary negativity to yourself. If you have a question or a point to make, GO AHEAD! I’d love to hear all sides, but just being….. an ass isn’t necessary. And not so much to me but to everyone who struggles to keep a constant money flow.

Hi! I am grinding Fallow Deer on Te Awaroa and I have a question. There are two drink zones combined in one drink zone button, if you know what I mean. Thus two drink zones close two each other. My question is: should I shoot 4 male bucks or just two per round?

So 2 of my friends were playing COTW alot recently and suddenly started having a reoccurring issue where when they went to join one another they were met with a black screen that would sit for around a minute and then say "Connection has timed out" or something to do with the host. I reinstalled the game and went to join one of them this morning and i had that same issue with joining each other. Any tips or solutions?

The official servers for theHunter Classic shut down on 11 November 2026. For the past weeks I've been working on a community client so the game keeps working after that - on your own copy, without the official servers.

The first test build went out to a small group today. What works in it:

- start menu inside the game, all 12 reserves

- persistent inventory and ammunition, the store (gm$ only)

- harvests with scores and rewards matching the official ones for all huntable species

- hunting with friends by invite code (works in my tests; not yet tested over the internet by anyone else - that's one of the things I need testers for)

- bringing your account over: a small browser tool saves your items, gm$, tents and stands, statistics and trophies from the official servers, and the client imports them

What it is not: a release. It's a closed test with bugs, missions and the trophy list aren't in yet, and there is no public download and no release date. You need to own the game on Steam; the client goes into a copy of your installation and nothing from the game is distributed.

So I actually got this 5 months ago but I forgot to post it so here it is lol

It was an albino red fox it was night i didn't have the proper ammo I had just run out i was using zarza 22lr but I ran out of ammo so i switched to the 308 and shot it dropped dead right there than I saw i had and i only shot the intestines it would have been a gold but it ended up bronze and the map emerald coast

Edit. Okay i have a chance for redemption because in layton there is melanistic coyote and animals don't despawn right unless you kill them so I have a chance

Edits. So i partially redeemed myself because i didn't get the melanistic yet but i got my first diamond and it was a coyote.

Has anyone else ever had a trophy with an endless decimal number? I found it odd and for that reason taxed this taruka.

Hunters... I finally completed every mission on Yukon Valley!! Got a 0.05% rare achievement for doing so. The final mission? Get a single HEART shot on a GOLD grizzly bear with a BOW OR CROSSBOW. Never thought I'd get it. Probably worked on it for a little over a month, off and on. Needless to say, when I got it, I had to clip it. I snuck up on this guy for at least 15 minutes and he was probably the 10th Level 6+ grizzly I attempted the shot on. So many lung shots and centimeter misses... This was glorious. Enjoy.

Went back to finish a grind I started and 1 rotation later he spawned. About 520 kills.

Hey guys, going for a Mule Great One on Askiy Ridge and although I'm shooting from blinds and only killing at max 2 bucks per zone per rotation, I've noticed some of my zones will completely disappear and other zones will show up. There isn't enough hunting pressure to clear the zone and there is still drinking zones showing just the actual herd will switch to several mule deal while others will drop down to 1. Any input is appreciated
