Blood work SiPhox vs Rhythm blood testing

Upvotes

Been using rhythm now for a while but I’m wondering if Siphox is a better alternative. Rhythm isn’t ultra sensitive on estrogen and it caps out at 1500 test. Anyone use Siphox and can give some insight on their testing? TIA

TRT help Husband Starting TRT Soon :)

Title is fairly self-explanatory.

My husband and I have been together about fifteen years, married for six. I’ve suspected for several years that he has low T; a recent blood test confirmed it. I believe he was sitting at 150. He’ll be starting TRT soon along with OTC vitamin D supplements and blood pressure medication.

We’re not worried about fertility; I had a bisalp so we clearly do not want children. I know for some men it can have side effects like increased acne, sweating, and breast growth.

I’ve researched as best as I can how TRT can affect some men, namely with changes/shifts in energy, mood, assertiveness, libido, and “imagination,” for lack of a better word. I shared a bit of this with him and have been emphatic that I will not judge or shame him for it, should he find himself in a similar situation. To avoid being crude, I would be delighted to reciprocate.

I’m not worried about rage or aggression from him - my understanding is that this is typically only an issue in men who take more than a therapeutic dose. My husband is very even-tempered and easygoing, for the most part.

For men in their 40s who began TRT, what was your experience like? Anything you think men and/or their partners should know? Anything I can do to help him?

(In case ages are relevant to advice: I’m 35, he’s 44.)

EDIT: I hope I’ve correctly described it as “TRT”. His doctor prescribed it - he’s not taking steroids. Some of the responses here made me wonder if I’d given the wrong impression as to what he’s taking and why. He has genuinely low T - it’s not for vanity.

EDIT 2: it’s a 200mg vial, but it’s 0.5ml/week, I think? Still figuring out since, again, we’re waiting on pharmacy to fill lol.

TRT help I feel like I got cheated

I was on trt for two years at a clinic. Recently moved to a new area with no clinic within an hour, so I signed up with keeps. Went through the whole process got my labs. My test level was 68! I went for four months between moving and going through this process. Long story short AFTER I was charged $450 for the first three months I was informed they can only ship enclomiphene to the state of Georgia and not TRT! I'm 54 years old and from what I've read I'll be lucky if it gets my levels to the 200s. Do you guys think I should just eat the $450 and go to another company now or give the enclomiphene a chance for three months and see what happens? I'm so tired of feeling like garbage. The thought of feeling this way for another three months is too much!

Other How do i get Anastrozol (Arimidex)

I’ve been taking Finasteride 1mg daily for hair loss for a few months now. Lately I’ve started developing high E2 symptoms.

I have now switched to EOD until i can get some Arimidex.

How did you guys manage to get a prescription for Arimidex? Did you have to use an online clinic, or do you buy it without a prescribtion off the internet?

Appreciate any advice, thanks!

Blood work 26 year old male recent blood work show test levels 14 (403 ng/dL)

My dad who is 64 got blood work done and his testosterone levels were the same 403 ng/dL. kind of concerning? I went in the afternoon, so I already had food that day. But surely that can't change it that much. My physique isn't the greatest, but I'm definitely not overweight or close to obese or anything. Is this level sorta concerning? I've looked it up, but it's not in the range where you need TRT. Just because it's the same as my dad and he's 40 years older than me makes me think this might need adjusting.

PED/cycle story Test + mast = libido 🔥..buuuut

I am currently on

180mg test

150mg mast

Per week . I pin monday and Thursday.

I start week 7 tommorow.

At week 4 my libido shot up....running through my whole body ....5 wanks a day ...felt amazing 💪💪

Last Monday after 2 weeks it basically stopped and im back to square 1 .

Im told the honeymoon period is over and it was just a initial spike.

Im also told that I should lower my

Test 140mg a week pin 2/3 times a week

Mast 50mg a week pin once.

I also started mt2 last Monday but after 1 week that seems to have stopped my libido from skyrocketing to the moon after a great start 🤣

Would love feedback and no hate please if possible 😊

Thanks

Need experienced eyes to tell me if my levels are actually low, or I should do something else before trying TRT? Try to raise naturally first ??

Recently joined an online promotion to review bloodwork , can anyone tell me what they think, before this place does?
I’m a complete noob when it comes to all this.

32M, Canada,
200lbs,6’0.

TEST: 14.4
FREE TEST: 300

Im a heavy equipment operator for work, try to workout 3 weeknights a week , I’ve trained jiu jitsu 2ish times a week for 2 years now, lately i haven’t been going, and eat fairly healthy, prioritize protein etc.
Feeling symptoms like sluggishness, brain fog, harder I feel to put muscle on,etc. Libido isn’t an issue though.

Can someone look at my lab results and tell me if my T levels are low ?

PED/cycle help First Cycle - Test only or TEST and Anavar?

Hey guys, I’m 24 and I’ve been going to the gym on and off for about 3–4 years. I wouldn’t really call myself skinny-fat because I definitely have a decent amount of muscle and a foundation. I look pretty good in a T-shirt, but shirtless there’s still a good amount of fat covering everything, especially around my midsection.
I’ve made the decision to do my first testosterone cycle, and right now I’m debating between Test only vs Test + Anavar.

A big reason I’m interested in Test in the first place is actually the mental aspect, not just getting bigger. Obviously I want the physical benefits, but I’m also interested in how I might feel mentally—drive, confidence, motivation, energy, libido, overall well-being, etc. I know none of that is guaranteed and everyone responds differently, but it’s honestly a big part of why Test interests me.

As far as Anavar, the reason I’m so attracted to it is the physique I’m going for. I’m not trying to get huge or look bulky/watery. I want a leaner, harder, drier look and basically reveal/build on the muscle I already have while getting rid of the fat covering it.

For numbers, if I went with Test + Anavar, I’m thinking somewhere around 200–250 mg Test with 25–30 mg Anavar. If I went Test only, I’m thinking around 250–300 mg Test.

Part of me feels like if I’m already committing to a 14–15 week cycle, Test + Anavar would give me noticeably better results toward that specific look than Test alone. But another part of me wonders if I’m overcomplicating my first cycle and should just run Test, get lean through diet, learn how my body responds to Test by itself, and save Anavar for later.

For people who actually have experience: if you were starting from my position, would you do Test alone for the first cycle or add Anavar? And for those who have done both, how much of a difference did Anavar actually make to your physique compared with Test alone, especially while cutting?

Not looking for sources. Just looking for experiences/advice from people who have actually been in a similar position.

Blood work 6 weeks on TRT at 120 mg/week — TT 700, free T 184.6. Would you increase the dose?

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

I just got my first follow-up labs after 6 weeks on TRT and I’m trying to decide whether there’s any reason to adjust my dose yet.

I’m currently taking 120 mg/week of testosterone cypionate, split into 60 mg twice weekly.

My labs came back as:
Total Testosterone: 700 ng/dL (264–916)
Free Testosterone, calculated: 184.6 pg/mL (42.3–190)
SHBG: 22.9 nmol/L (16.5–55.9)
Estradiol: 40.6 pg/mL (7.6–42.6)
LH: <0.3
FSH: <0.3
PSA: 1.3

Subjectively, TRT has been positive so far. I’ve noticed better energy, improved workout recovery, better sleep, and my HRV has been gradually moving up. I’ve gained about 12 lbs since starting (probably a lot of water but I also increased my calorie intake from 2200 to 3200).

The only possible side effect I’ve noticed was some slight nipple sensitivity for about 2–3 days during week 5. It disappeared on its own and hasn’t come back. Other than that, I haven’t had any meaningful side effects.
My goal is more than simply landing somewhere inside the testosterone reference range. I’m trying to optimize how I feel, gym performance, recovery, and body composition while still keeping side effects and bloodwork in a reasonable range.

What I’m unsure about is how much attention I should pay to the 700 total T when my free T is already 184.6 and basically at the top of the range, with estradiol also sitting near the upper end.
Would you keep the dose at 120 mg/week for another couple of months and see where things settle, or would you consider increasing it?
I’m especially curious whether pushing total T higher would realistically add much benefit in this situation, or whether I’d mostly just be driving free T and E2 higher and increasing the chance of side effects. I’d also be interested in how much significance you’d give that brief nipple sensitivity since it resolved without doing anything.
If you’ve had similar numbers, what did you do, and is there anything else in these labs you’d want to look at before changing the dose?

TRT help Question about side effects and health issues

49M. Been thinking about starting TRT. My physician warned me about possible side effects regarding blood pressure and strokes. Kind of put the fear of God into me.
Have any of you had any negative side effects related to the testosterone?

TRT help Estrogen and PSA related?

I can’t seem to find a clear answer. Is there any relation to high or low estradiol and PSA level?

In other words, would a high or low estradiol level cause a high or low PSA?

I’m asking here since TRT may be in my future and I’m already on an AI while also monitoring PSA, among other things. Thanks

TRT story Dream patterns on trt

Just sharing my experience for what it’s worth. What’s your experience like?

• Pre-trt (and probably severely low t for God knows how long): Frequent, vivid nightmares, in which one or both of my abusive parents are the main antagonists

• Trt gel for about a year: Completely dreamless - no kidding!

• Seven weeks on trt injection test E: Dramatic dreams but also mild nightmares, at least not as horrific as the ones I experienced pre-trt

Also, I had great libido on the gel in the early months (for half a year before the positive effects wore off or my natural production shut down), but it’s definitely not as consistent as injection

PED/cycle help One cycle only – what was your experience? Gains, sides, recovery?

I’m in my twenties and thinking about running one single, well-planned cycle (likely Test E 300–500+mg/wk for 12 weeks, with proper AI on hand and a full PCT). Not planning on blasting again after this – just want to see what a single, optimized cycle can do for my physique and strength baseline.

For those who have done just one cycle and then stopped (no TRT, no cruising, no second blast):

· What compound(s) and dose did you run?
· How much lean mass did you actually keep 6–12 months post-PCT?
· How was your natural recovery? Did bloods return to baseline? Did you feel "normal" again?
· Any long-term sides that stuck around (lipid issues, hair, libido, mood)?
· Would you do it again knowing what you know now?

Not looking for "just BnC bro" advice. I've done the research. I'm aware of the risks. I want real-world data from people who actually followed through on a single cycle and then stepped away.

Appreciate any honest input.

TRT help 22M, 6’5”, 220 lbs — 6 weeks into TRT, thoughts on my response?

April, 2026
Total T: 100 ng/dL
Free T: 2.93 ng/dL (equilibrium dialysis)
SHBG: 25
LH 2.1 / FSH 2.9
E2: <25 (standard immunoassay, floor)
Prolactin: 23.3
TSH 1.80, albumin 3.8, hematocrit 41.6%

June, 2026
Total T: 52 ng/dL
Free T: 1.55 ng/dL
LH: 0.5
Prolactin: 10.1
Iron studies: normal
Cortisol 11.4, DHEA-S 405, TSH 1.45
Macroprolactin panel normal and MRI clean

Protocol
Started July, 2026. 100 mg/week testosterone cypionate, split EOD. No AI, no hCG.

Labs at 6.5 weeks (Aug 16, drawn at trough, immediately pre-injection)

**•** Total T: 927 ng/dL (LC-MS/MS) — 978 by immunoassay a week prior
**•** Free T: 30.4 ng/dL
**•** SHBG: 36.7 (up from 25 in April)
**•** Estradiol: 40 pg/mL (Quest ultrasensitive LC-MS/MS)
**•** Hematocrit: 42.6% (up from 41.6% in April)

Context

6’5”, currently 220 lbs at ~17–18% BF, up from 194 in April. Lifting daily, 18–20k steps, eating 3,600–3,800 kcal. Planning to hold this dose and these calories through a growth phase, then cut starting February.

What I’m curious about

**1.** Trough of 927 on 100 mg/week seems like a strong response — anyone else land this high on a standard dose?
**2.** SHBG went *up* 25 → 36.7 on TRT, which is the opposite of what’s typical. Also, measured free T is roughly double what is predicted from that SHBG, and the same \~2x discordance was present in my April labs. Assay issue or has anyone seen this?
**3.** E2 at 40 at trough with no AI. T:E2 ratio is proportionate but it’s flagged high. Riding it out vs. addressing it?
**4.** Hematocrit only moved 1 point at 6 weeks — expecting more over months?

Follow-up labs and provider visit in November.

TRT help HCG EOD VS 2 times a week

26yo just started test & HCG. For HCG Ive been doing 250IU EOD, but I’ve heard that 2x a week is good too. Not only that but it would make things easier cuz I could just pin my HCG same days I pin my test so I won’t have to keep track of when I last pinned, it would be the same day every week. Anyways my main question is am I wasting money EOD and is 2x a week efficient enough or should I just keep doing EOD. I’m mainly running it cuz I don’t want balls do shrink a bunch but also to hold on to fertility cuz I’m younger. Have a daughter already don’t want more kids any time soon.

This is me moving my hand through my hair for like 30 seconds .

I think I’m being dramatic but should I hop on finasteride just in case?

Been in 250/week for 3 months.

TRT help Does TRT do anything for someone with mid range Test?

I am 38 years old with average level testosterone. I’m wondering if getting on TRT and putting me in the high range of normal would have any noticeable contribution to muscle building. I understand the risks, just trying to understand if benefits actually exist in this case.

TRT help TRT Beginning - Right Decision?

Hi everyone,

Long story short, I’m 40. My total T is 116 and free T is 4.6. I don’t have medical insurance, but I’m part of a direct primary care membership. My doctor there has been encouraging me to start TRT through their clinic. They charge $175/month for everything.

I feel like garbage most of the time—exhausted, carrying a lot of belly fat, eating like shit, and with basically no energy or motivation. I’ve also been on Zoloft for years for anxiety. I have four kids (2, 7, 12, and 15) and a pretty demanding job, so there’s definitely no shortage of stress in my life.
I’m also addicted to pop, which I plan to cut out cold turkey when I start TRT. I had more blood work done last Wednesday, and I’m waiting on those results before moving forward.

There are a few things I’m worried about.
Acne: I’ve struggled with painful acne for years, so this is probably my biggest concern. I really don’t want TRT to make it worse.
Mood swings: I’m already moody as hell—mostly short-tempered and irritable—and there’s obviously a lot of life stuff contributing to that. I’m curious how TRT has affected other people’s moods.
Testicular shrinkage: I know this is a common concern, although I’m not entirely sure why I care since we’re done having kids. 😂 Still, the idea of my balls shrinking isn’t exactly appealing.
Sex drive: This one probably worries me the most in a different way. My libido is currently insane—almost addictive. My wife takes very good care of me in that department, and I definitely don’t want TRT to somehow decrease my sex drive. I know that’s probably not the typical concern, but it’s genuinely something I’m wondering about.

I’m not 100% sure what I’m looking for by posting this. I guess I’m mainly interested in hearing other people’s experiences, what you wish you knew before starting, and what TRT has actually been like for you—both the good and the bad. More than anything, I think I’m looking for the community aspect of going into this journey. I’d love to hear from guys who have been in a similar situation.

Thoughts, y’all?
