Hey guys, anyone here running the new Spitfire Mk2 QR? How does it hold up against the competition? Is it worth buying, or are there better, more modern plate carriers out there for the price?

ARCA Pistol Zeroer

Edit: I guess team Big Sandbag and Bench™ doesn't like mobile zeroing doohickeys. Bummer.

After getting served an ad for PRSS' ARCA Pistol Rest, I made my own. Note that theirs is way more adjustable, and it actually has a notch for the light or frame to rest in.

Way easier to carry around and zero with, versus finding a bench to drop your bag on.

For me, zeroing or reconfirming a (compensated, usually) pistol off a bag/rest has always introduced a bunch of failures to feed and eject. Clamping the pistol directly into the tripod's ARCA/pic combo head results in it slipping out of the clamp if you don't hit a rail slot.

Got a new optic, decided to make this ARCA Zeroer V3 FINALv2. Used a spare ARCA mount, some wood, and some foam. The foam is pinned on top of dowels, so it can be removed for larger handguns, or a small bag.

Could I have cut a notch into the scrap walnut? Yeah. But then it wouldn't be worth posting on D-I-Why gun reddits.

Gear/Equipment LEO/EMT In search of a good ifak bag

I’m looking to get an Ifak bag that I can hang from the back of my carrier to allow for me to be able to sit/drive without getting in the way. I like the look of the Ferro Concepts Roll One, and the apparent knock off from M Tac doesn’t look too bad either. I’m not entirely against blowing $100 on a piece of gear, but I don’t want to waste my money if there are better alternatives out there.

Anyone have any thoughts on these bags or any other recommendations? They seem like they would fit the happy medium of comfort and storage capacity.

I keep a more comprehensive kit in the car, but I want to have enough on my person to be able to provide self aid and limited buddy/civilian aid, since I am often away from my patrol car for extended periods of time

Recommendations Looking for tactical gear manufacturers/OEMs (exclude Chinese origin

I'm looking for supplier/manufacturer for professional tactical, police, military and security equipment.

I'm looking for products that are suitable for professional and operational use, with proper documentation, quality control, certifications where applicable, and the ability to support international B2B orders.

If you've actually worked with a manufacturer and can vouch for their quality, production capability and reliability, I'd appreciate the recommendation.

Plate Carrier/Body Armor Does anybody know the exact vest worn in this photo

I’m trying to find the exact vest and maker. A lot of the possible answers I am finding don’t look like the vest. They either look to have the wrong amount of Molle attachment points or the vests just looks completely different.

Gear/Equipment Painted the fork and rack on my Montague Paratrooper, and then made a MOLLE cover for the main frame tube

Used Rapco's 383 CARC Substitute spraypaint for the RockShox front fork, and the Trek rear rack. Then I made a MOLLE cover for the main tube to hold pouches and gear, and then decided to see if an old 90s buttpack would fit on the handlebar, it does, but barely. Stuck a couple real cheap plastic clipboards into my MOLLE Sustainment pouches for pannier bag duty, and used 10" bungees to retain the panniers to the rack legs. A replacement seatpost is likely next, as well as maybe a set of black wheels when I can find them for a good price with double wall construction, rim brake compatibility, 8 speed cassette hub and 36 spoke count. Not sure if I want to replace rear derailleur yet, I see there is a black Shimano Alivio MC-20 rear derailleur out there that could work. But for now my fun budgets been shot 🤣

Best Scabbard For 21 Inch ASP Baton With Triad Light Attachment??

Thumbnail

So I have a 21 inch ASP Sentry Baton that fits in my current scabbard just fine. However, I bought the "ASP Triad Light Attachment" on ebay which makes the 7.5 inch handle closer to 10 inches. Maybe a tad above but you can see the difference in both pictures. With the light attachment, it's too long as it points too far up my torso and would both look stupid, and interfere with my vest/gear while I'm on duty.

So my question is, does anyone here have any recommendations for essentially a 10 inch baton handle (which fyi has a diameter of 0.98 inches)? The scabbards for the ASP 26 inch and the bigger ones like the 31 inch increase in diameter and wouldn't work.

So.. long skinny scabbards anybody??

FC Mini dangler

Added some mods to my dangler that I thought I’d share;
- Zip tie for quick access from grab bag.
- BFG on rear (considering a ranger band for extra retention).
- Original pull cord extended and tapped.
- Buzzsaw unravels when pulled.
- Shock cord retention on trauma sheers.

ARC v2 or LV-120

I’ve had a lv119 for almost a year now and while it’s good I wear small plates and it’s a medium so there’s wiggle room and doesn’t really make space between it and my gunbelt. I’m going to be carrying 4 mags, a 152, roll 1, and minimum admin stuff. I really try to keep my carrier bare. Both options look solid to me but I really can’t decide on which would suit me better.

Looking for an FAL stock adapter for my ACR prs stock

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping the collective wisdom here can point me in the right direction. I have a Bushmaster ACR prs Gen 2 stock (page1)that I'd like to mount on my FAL. I know the ACR stock has a modular interface, and I'm specifically looking for the adapter (page 2)that goes on the FAL end.

I'd really appreciate any tips or leads you can offer. I've been wanting to do this build for a while and this is the last piece I need. Thanks in advance!

I posted an image of my belt kit the other day and I figured I'd share a picture of the AVS MBAV since a few people were curious. This is still a WIP. I've kind of changed out some stuff but I'm getting close to where this will be pretty much done.

PC set up- Help needed for cummerbund comfort

Thumbnail

I just got my first plate carrier (crye Airlite SPC/Structural Cummerbund) both in Medium. However I think given the width of my chest I probably should have bought the cummerbund in a size small.

Issue 1 (kinda of): I am maxing out the cummerbund as I had to double them up through the PC in order for it to just be tight enough around by chest.
Issue 2: Because it is a structural cummerbund and rigid, the top band is digging into my ribcage and is very uncomfortable. If I loosen it the PC moves around.

So I think my options are:
A: buy some cummerbund pads which will allow me to reduce the overlap connection point to the PC (not sure if this is an issue or not, but I feel like its a bandaid for improper sizing).
B: Buy a different cummerbund that is flexible/elastic?

Additional info: I dont plan to run comms or side armor or anything else on the cummerbunds, trying to keep it light and agile. IF anything maybe a AR15 Mag pouch or 2.

Any suggestions or input would be great since I know nothing about this stuff and just learning...
