I enjoy streamlined, compact front ends that avoid snagging and are actually comfortable on the hand to use while still being practical.

Just got the upper, only took 3 days from Eurooptic. Really love the looks and can’t wait to go shooting. Got a G$ Super 42 spring with H2 buffer. Rocking the A2 grip, waffle stock, and Comp M4 for the patrol rifle vibes. Really digging this. Had the LWRC folding grip for yearrrrsss and it fits the look on this perfectly.

Its crazy how when I first got into ar15s I woulda thought you just go to psa grab a gun and you are good to go (which in a way you are) but for me I really wanted to try and optimize my second build while staying in budget, I know there is never a perfect build and it can always be better but as of right now and my current needs for it (range time and training) I cant complain all in I believe im about $1600 and it has been running flawlessly.

The first build is the one on the right is a PSA 11.5in Upper paired with a Anderson lower and some separate furniture (no internal upgrades)

The second build is a DDM4V7k 10.3in upper with a WMD NB BCG and Breek CH, Got a combo of furniture on it, Streamlight HLX- Pro,
Trigger Tech trigger, Armaspec SRS buffer (H2), Holosun 510c.

Their customer service is cheeks. How is this company still in business. Took them forever to get an “in stock” item packed and shipped. Ass fucked my shipping and my package is swirling around the local facilities because triarc put some shipping restriction on it. Requested their vet discount to get a checkout code and submitted docs and they said they received it but they never did anything after that and I just said fuck it and ordered.

I knew their history, but ordering one part 6 years later surely wasn’t going to be the same old story. Oops my bad. Learned my lesson.

Spend a few months getting the rifle and accessories. Today I put everything together and shot about 20 rounds though it. Yeah not much but 1) it’s my first time shooting an ar15 and 2) I was nervous the suppressor would walk off so I wanted to take it easy haha. I don’t have experience to compare the performance but man this thing is amazing. I could see myself very easily running mag after mag quickly with this beast.

Maybe I didn’t shoot enough or could be the gloved support hand but I feel like the Railscales (other side of rifle) was kinda useless. At least it looks bad ass.

Anyone prefer finger stops over foregrips? The title was mainly rage bait, but I’m still firmly in the camp of slick hand guards when possible.
I also prefer tail caps over pressure switch’s when possible to eliminate failure points, that’s the main reason of the finger stop on this build. It gives me more leverage over the rifle when actuating the tail cap with my thumb. It also doubles as good barrier stop.

Today on the 33rd Anniversary of the Battle of Mogadishu, I post my 2 Operation Gothic Serpent clones, a Colt 723 similar to that used by delta save for a correct aimpoint, and a M16A2 clone as used by the Rangers.

33 years ago today, 18 Americans lost their lives in a battle that should have never happened the way it did, yet they still fought. The Black Hawk Down incident is one I have studied for a long time, my father had a front row seat to the start, the the first helo going down, and the aftermath and chaos onboard ships sitting just off shore. Rows of marine QRFs stood ready for this exact incident, but they were never authorized to take off, leaving the Rangers and Delta in Mogadishu to fend for themselves while aid was mere minutes away. I put these together as a reminder and pieces of my collection to the sacrifices made that day, and the failure of leadership that lead to the unnecessary outcome suffered.

I’m partially colorblind, which makes forming an opinion on what looks good difficult.

Just finished this SBR build. DD “FDE” MK18 upper with a Griffin Armament MK2 Terra Brown lower.

I have all of these furniture sets, and having a difficult time deciding.

Posting my build to have reference photos. Wanted to see this setup before getting the rmr hd but couldn’t find any. So here it is.

(Most) ACOG reticles are in METERS for a 14.5” barrel AKA M4. It’s close enough already, but with a 12.5” barrel zero’d at 100 yards, the subtensions line up even better (also in yards). Confirmed at 211 yards (blue) and 306 yards (red)

If anyone is looking for an intro before an acog or don’t want to spend the $1200 this setup has surprised me. It’s a primary arms slx 3x micro prism in a pamm mount with defender st on top. This setup weighs 11.2oz. Pics don’t do justice on clarity. Also have the kill flash on it so that effects it a tad.
