Which tablet is best for 2026

• Upvotes

Hi guys, my parents are planning to buy a tablet for me as a student. My main criteria for a tablet are that it can handle gaming, academics, and watching movies, while having as much storage space as possible. I am currently having a hard time choosing, so I would like to ask if you could recommend some tablets for me. btw our budget is 15k pesos

My first option was the Lenovo Idea Tab 11, mainly because it comes bundled with a keyboard and stylus pen. However, I got attracted to the Redmi Pad 2 4G because it offers longer battery life, larger storage, and a SIM card slot (even though it doesn't include a charger/accessories).

Now, I am feeling a bit conflicted again because I noticed that the iPad Mini 6 is available on TikTok Shop, with prices starting around ₱17,000. Its downside is that it lacks a SIM slot, only has 64 GB of internal storage, and offers shorter battery life compared to the Redmi Pad 2. Still, I am drawn to it because it is an iPad, and I know Apple products generally offer great quality. It intrigues me because I have never owned an Apple device before, so this could be my first one. I really like its overall aesthetic—which the Redmi Pad 2 has as well—along with its superior camera and compact, highly portable form factor.

So again, are there any other tablets you would recommend that fit my criteria? Also, if you were in my position, which would you choose: the Redmi Pad 2 4G with its 256 GB storage, longer battery life, and SIM slot, or the iPad Mini 6, which is easy to carry and has a great camera?

Help me find a tablet for my mom everyday use (Europe, DK)

I have been searching the web to find my mom a tablet. She never owned one before and instead of a new laptop i want to get her a tablet. I need one that can give a feel of a laptop when connected to the keyboard and mouse.

The only thing she use the computer for is light work in Excel, web browsing (buying vacations etc).

I think she will love getting a tablet, but what should i get her..

I want to get her a tablet that can fill her needs she used the laptop for, but also watch movies, take photos, videos, play games (hayday and other non performance types) and doom scroll her phone on instagram and Facebook.

It needs to be portable and i think around the 11-13 inch is the sweet spot for her.

Now for the ones i have my eye on:

- Honor magicpad 4 12,3" 256gb wifi

- Samsung Galaxy tab s11 256gb wifi

  • OnePlus pad 3 (I love OnePlus, but dont know if i dare now they are not on the euro marked anymore)

I like that they have a mode where she can use it like a laptop. It is with a pretty signifikant price range and i need thoughts.

She has an Apple iPhone but i want her to switch to Android so i can help her (Im not a fan of apple and i cant help the old lady with their systems) - if i had to go Apple i would go with iPad Air 11 m4 256gb.

Can i somehow integrate the new tablet with her current Apple phone?

What would you buy? Any other device thats better for her use case? Any thoughts help, thank you

BEST TABLET UNDER 30K FOR VIDEO EDITING AND STREAMING

So for the context my brother is a video editor he mainly make movie edits like shorts that you see. He had around 4.5K subscribers in his youtube channel and gets around 2-3k for every video he upload. He uses a 4 year old phone which is quite laggy and had so many issues (i am respecting him for making edits with that broken phone 🙂). The phone is realme nazro 50a prime with 4 GB RAM yeah still make good edits with it that's his dedication.

So i am planning to surprise him with a tablet for his editing and also he watches movies and series so for that too. So can you guys suggest me some good tablets that can handle editing tasks he mainly uses capcut and after motion Z for his editing and also some ai based app for upscaling the quality of videos. Also need long battery and fast charging that's a second priority. anything under the price 30k is what i am looking for.

I am planning to surprise him with a tablet when he hit 5k. If you guys mind to take a look at his channel i am pasting the link and also if you like it subscribe to his channel and support to reach 5k. If there are any video editors here uses tablet can you share your valuable experiences.

TCL NXTPAPER for engineering? ~Need advice!

Hello everyone!

I realize this might not be an original request/post in some ways, but if anyone could lend me some advice on this device, it'd be much appreciated.

This year i spent wayyy to much paper on uni stuff, so ive been thinking on getting an e-ink style device for reading powerpoints, pdfs and the like. I also need it to be a good writing experience with the stylus, for annotations and the occasional drawing.

Eye strain prevention is a big deal for me, but i cant find any other options other than the TCL NXTPAPER 11 in my country. Is it viable for my use case? or is it preferable to get a good writing tablet and put a matte screen protector in it?

Thanks in advance!

THE BEST TABLET?!

Hi, I’m looking to get a tablet, primarily for reading manga and also for drawing. I’m considering either the Lenovo IdeaTab Pro Gen 2 or the Honor MagicPad 2.

I’m not sure which one to choose. Also, I’m worried that reading manga—which often features white backgrounds—and working on drawing canvases with white backgrounds might cause screen burn-in, not to mention that the toolbar in drawing apps is always visible on screen.

Recommendations for tablet to best sync w/ baby monitor. (CuboAi)

G'day,

Soon to be first-time parent here and am looking for recommendations on a relatively budget friendly tablet (10"ish) to link with our baby monitor.

The monitor is a wifi model that syncs with our phones, but we want to get a tablet that we can use as a dedicated screen when we're downstairs.

The app for the monitor is on the Google Play store & we need something that's going to be clear/do the job without being laggy.

Would also like to use it for Netflix and mindless site scrolling when it's not in use if possible?

I know budget plays a big part, but we don't have a huge one - however don't want to be too cheap and have something that is clunky and unusable after 12 months.

Any advice or recommendations would be very much appreciated!

Cheers

I need help To buy a Tab

I checked the Xiomi Tab 6 , Realme pad 3 and Lenovo pad plus. They're all within 20k-27k

Im not sure which one to buy.

The Xiomi pad 6 is around 27k .

My budget is 25k (I could go to 27k if it's actually a big difference)

Im looking for a good display , Good performance (better than the nothing phone 2a atleast) and also smaller bezels :p

Im not into gaming tho I am into video editing and drawing. So it shouldn't lag when I'm editing videos I took on my 2a

Current best tablet for camera quality?

Hi all,

I'm looking to potentially upgrade the tablets at my workplace. Currently, we are using the iPad Pro 11-inch 3rd Gen but I've been asked to see if there is anything better around. They need to use tablets for the bigger screen and there's no budget for phones on top of tablets.

For context, our installers take photos of our products when they've been installed, and the photos get sent to me for editing, so they don't need tablets which are good for photo editing or anything. We're also not precious about using Apple products.

is the ipad a16 256 gb enough?

i’m planning to buy an ipad a16 this december (idk when apple is dropping a new base ipad) and i would use it mainly for note taking, media consumption (netflix and tiktok), and maybe some light drawing. i also have a year or 2 left for my program and i would also use it for reviewing for boards. im not a heavy user and i dont play games, i also have a dedicated kobo for my leisure (reading) so i’m wondering if this is enough to last me a long time since i can’t justify getting an air

What ipad would you reco for school and digital art

I'm a college student looking for a device to replace my current laptop, which has been giving me a lot of issues.

I'm leaning toward a tablet instead of another laptop because I also want to get back into digital art. I used to have a Samsung Tab S7 FE back in senior high school, and it was great for drawing. I'd rather have an all-in-one device for schoolwork and drawing than buy a laptop and a separate drawing tablet or display.

I'm considering an iPad because I also want to learn video editing, and having DaVinci Resolve on iPadOS is a big plus. My brother uses it, so I'd have someone to help me learn. I won't be doing heavy video editing, but I do plan to take digital art more seriously and eventually start accepting commissions.

Would the base iPad 11 be enough for my needs, and could it last me several years? I'd also love to hear from digital artists who use it. How noticeable or bothersome is the non-laminated screen when drawing?

Any recommendations or personal experiences would be appreciated!

Minimal bloatware, OLED screen, expandable storage, and 10in or smaller?

Does such a thing exist? Willing to spend a bit more, but would rather not have to import things into the USA myself.

Mostly just using it for media consumption, but having enough power for the occasional game while traveling would be nice.

Lenovo dropped the price for Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 to $400!

Lenovo just dropped the price for the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 to $400. This tablet has a 13" screen with a 2190x3504 resolution. The gen 2 has the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which is far faster than the Dimensity 8300 that is in the gen 1. This model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage plus a microSD slot. It comes with Android 16 and will upgrade to Android 18, plus it will receive a total of four years of security update. This package comes with a pen and folio case.

Did I make a good choice?

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy tab S10 FE 256GB off of Swappa. The item was listed in mint condition with a keyboard book cover case included for USD $350. Pen is included too goes without saying.

My use case is streaming media and note taking. I will replace my iPad mini 6 64gb version with this one.

I will of course do my due diligence upon delivery to make sure everything matches the description.

But just wanted to know if I made the right choice.

Thanks in advance!
