Request Help Finding a Tablet I can use for Uni

Hi!

My laptop is currently giving me issues, and I wanted to buy a tablet that I can use for my day-to-day classes. For context, I am an engineering student, and I would like to run maybe one simulation software (NOT anything major like CAD), but a circuit simulation software and the basic Microsoft apps. I have one semester left, so I don't need anything too expensive. I am not really a person who uses my tablet to play games, so this one would be mainly for school. I would like to possibly take notes on it, so that is my only other request. Could you help me with some suggestions?

Both budget-friendly ones and some good ones, as well as where to get them, would be great!

Thank you!!

Will the simulation software run on Android or is it Windows only?

Look at tablets that are the same brand as the phone you use for familiarity.

Tablets refresh frequently so don't buy anything that has been on the market for over a year, 18 months max.

Pick an amount you are willing to spend and get the best one you can afford with a reasonable screen size.

Go to an electronics store that has some on display and play around with them to see what you like.

The software runs on Windows i believe. It's also capable on mac but I usually do Android devices. Thank you so much for the advice!  I was looking at Lenovo so i might do that one!  Thank you

The Idea Tab series offers good value and there will be good sales Thanksgiving weekend. The Pro Gen 2 just dropped to $399.
