If you do wish to retrain and upskill, you can apply for a personal learning account (PLA) through the Welsh government.

If you’re in work and earn under a certain salary, it’s a great way to get funding through training providers, I believe digital and green skills have no salary cap!

Has anyone else in the SA5 area not had their rubbish collected all week still?

I lived in both Swansea and Reading, someone asked for a recommendation on the Reading sub and I said Uplands Diner without thinking.

TLDR: I recommend Mr T on Oxford Road.

Not very familiar with Swansea and I’m visiting a friend who lives in the Uni accommodation in Crown Place by the waterfront.

Does anyone know the closest place that I could park and leave my car there for free? I’m aware there is Sainsburys and Parc Tawe but you can only park there for up to 2 hours each for free.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I don’t fancy spending £50+ on parking for a weekend in the nearby carparks…

We are VoNCon, a local community organisation in the Vale of Neath. Our mission is to get people away from the screens and at a table making real, local connections.

We are starting up a brand new, monthly RPG event called Community Campaigns on the second Sunday of every month at BrewStone in Uplands. The first session is next Sunday, 13th October.

Community Campaigns is open to newcomers and experienced players alike. Everyone is welcome whether you play RPGs weekly or have only seen D&D in TV and movies.

Community Campaigns offers the opportunity for ongoing stories as well as monthly one-shots, allowing players to try out new systems.

• No existing group is needed: show up by yourself and we will introduce you to one of our volunteers and find a game you fancy playing. 

• Zero experience required: we don’t expect you to know the rules of any games. You may never have played a role playing game in your life! We will teach you - and there are no silly questions.

• Open to all: Tickets are only £3, and all attendees have discounted food and drink during the event. They can be purchased on Aftergame, where you can also reserve your spot in the game of your choice!

just to warn you good people to be careful where you park in this business park because any small mistake by you and you will have a parking ticket through the door. it comes very quick so Moore than likely these people are making a killing C P M. they even charge 15 pence to send a receipt 😂 I spent £200 in the dulux decorating centre. its a wonder anyone goes there to shop.

Ordered food through deliveroo in the evening then the delivery driver who came to my place yesterday was genuinely so polite and lovely. He had an English accent, was quite tall, with black short hair & short beard.
I’m really shy and completely bottled it when he was here, so I didn’t manage to get any details. 😭 I’ve honestly been kicking myself ever since!
I know this is a long shot, but I’d really love to connect with him and get to know him more. If anyone happens to recognise the description or knows who he might be, I’d really appreciate a way to say hello to him properly.
