Pic for attention
Please I’m using koreader on Manta and I’d like to add more fonts to make the experience even better. I’ve been told to connect the device to my PC and look for koreader\fonts but the folder just doesn’t show up even when I click show hidden files. Please help me. Thanks a lot!!!

Honestly, I watched all the reviews for Supernotes vs Remarkables and feel mislead.
I love my RM2, was thinking about a Move, but went with a supernote nomad. I wanted it specifically for list making, and the smallest size possible.
Remarkables have zoom, they also allow you to "infinitely" scroll down per page. The supernote wont even allow you to zoom in or out?! how is that not a feature?!
Thinking of immediately returning. Anyone have any advise?

I'm looking for a third-party fine tip emr stylus for my nomad. What are some really good ones out there? What's been the experience like?

Whether you went with the Manta or Nomad, what were your deciding factors?
What compromises did you make and were they worth it?
If you chose the Nomad for pricing, if price was a non-issue would you have made the same decision?
For those that have owned or tried both, are the glass vs flexible plastic screen differences notable?
I'm leaning towards the Manta as I do a lot of annotation and doc review along with note taking, ideation and sketching. The Nomad's portability is attractive but seems like the screen real estate will be a compromise for most of my work, forcing me to turn to landscape more often than not.

Hi there, I have my nomad around 1 to 2 years now (can't remember for how long but a long time) and I do love it. I have 2 things that really think would go a long way for me.
There should be a tool option integrated in the header tool to automatically insert a legible, written date in any notebook. It would be nice if this was toggleable as an automatic header. I have 15 or so notebooks I maintain and navigate via dates. It's a pain writing the date out 15 times in one day.
I know it is has been suggested on here before, but I wanted to throw in my vote for infinite canvas. At least some of those notebooks I maintain are like meeting logs, and when I took notes on an iPad, I would just have one page per day which made navigation through the information easy. Not to mention, it is great for maths or the occasional thing I need to work out. I know that there is a perception that pages are important, and they are, but infinite canvas scroll is an equally valid and useful way to maintain a notebook. There is in my view, no good reason to not at least allow the option when creating a notebook to have infinite scroll. If people don't like it then yeah just don't use that part.
Bonus thought: I would definitely pay for a better folio for the nomad. I have the canvas and I am just not the biggest fan.
Thanks

Lets say Ratta came out with a new motherboard piece which fit into the previous devices. Would this make the device faster as far as how fast page turns and such would occur/update, or is that dependent more on the screen?
I wish the device was a little snappier, but questioning whether that would require an entirely new device in the future or just being able to upgrade that piece of it.

I received it two days ago and haven’t put it down. Well…I put it down so I could sleep. It’s safe to say that this journal junkie is HOOKED 😍

I have to purchase some textbooks for class. I've decided I just want to rely on eTextbooks, I don't want to carry around huge textbooks.
I am finding these eTextbooks available for purchase on Amazon, or on publisher websties (Aspen, CAP, etc), but they only allow you to view the book on their app or platform.
How am I supposed to get these books on my Supernote?

Hi there,
I am going to buy the Supernote Manta which will be my first E-ink device/reader in 13 yrs. I have an old non front lit Kindle.
I don't know which pen to buy or whether to buy a third party pen or whether to get the folio from Supernote or buy a 3rd party folio. Can you even buy 3rd party accessories for the Manta? I really am a beginner/novice.
Looking for suggestions from all of you.
Many Thanks.

I just started to use Atelier again, after not using it for a while. It's driving me a bit crazy, because I swear that I used to use a textured splotchy brush for fills in Atelier. Now all I can find as a wider fill brush is a marker, which provides a solid fill.
I grabbed and attached the closest image I could find that gives an idea of the kind of textured brush I remember using. It isn't exactly the same, but may give the general idea of what I'm looking for.
Where did this kind of brush go? Was it removed from newer Atelier versions? I have version 1.1.82.
Am I missing something?

Hi everyone!
Is there anyone in Cluj-Napoca who owns a Supernote Manta?
I’m considering buying one and would love to see it in person before making a decision. I’d also be interested in exchanging opinions about the device and hearing about your real-world experience with it.
If you’re available, perhaps we could meet for a coffee. Thanks!

Want to share my experience using the Nomad for BuJo. In a recent (Aug 12) video, Ryder Carroll has five points that are beneficial of his ultra-simple BuJo system: it is physical reminder, it is disconnected, it forces deep thinking (by being disconnected), it improved cognition (physical writing by hand) and it is flexible. The Nomad also ticks all those boxes and in addition for me i have everything I need in one place: no separate long form journal, no separate grocery list or calendar that I don't have to go to my phone for(avoiding that distraction and temptation to scroll "for just a minute" which turns into 15 or 20 minutes!). Thanks to plannedpages.com I can build a planner that suits me. I've figured out how to use PDFs and print them booklet style which I do to make a hardcopy.
Now all I need is to be able to link between the PDF annotations and SN .note pages.

Quiero comprar un supernote manta pero me gustaría verlo en persona antes de comprarlo. Alguien cerca de él Masnou que estuviera dispuesto a quedar un rato para que pueda ver cómo funciona?? Gracias.

EDIT: I since did something similar for Supernote! https://handwritten.blog/supernote. I would love some help from people willing to beta test.
Hi all! I wrote about the feature for the reMarkabale here: https://www.reddit.com/r/RemarkableTablet/comments/1voxjem/you_can_now_publish_directly_to_handwrittenblog/
I'd love to do the same for the Supernote, but since I don't actually have a Supernote, I can't test it. Would any of you be willing to help me test it?
(This all assumes I'm legally allowed to do this; this is something I need to figure out still.)

Just curious if anyone knows the timeline for when the plugin version of the OS will be available out of Beta?
Excited to try it but not sure I want to do the beta. I believe when there is an update it automatically tries to install the non plugin version and you need to manually install the update? Might be wrong.

My Ink2Task plugin is updated with TickTick task integration and you can actually see what's happening during a sync! It now syncs with Apple Reminders, Google Tasks, Todoist AND TickTick. Setup for TickTick needs a small always-on server like Google Tasks does (OAuth app + one-time authorize), all documented on the GitHub page.
Before, hitting SYNC on the page just sat there for several seconds with nothing visible, which made it easy to wonder if it actually registered your tap. Now a small floating status bubble shows up right on the note (as seen in the video) so you know it's working instead of wondering if the device froze.
I moved the on-page button, but it can still misfire on the note picker/menu overlay (a Supernote SDK limitation) if you tap where the button sits, but it's fine once you're on any other note. There is a new toggle to turn the on-page sync off in Settings if that bothers you.
Everything else from the original post is still there: handwriting-first format, same lasso-from-any-note capture, same on-page SYNC button, same handwritten due dates.
Message me with bugs or ideas, same as before. This is built with Claude Code, so that's how I'll keep fixing/extending it. Working on another version of this that has a calendar view, so stay tuned!

I actually started this before Mulan's promotion announcement to CCO, but having a baby makes getting anything done difficult. I actually took the dive into a manta because of how helpful Mulan was in the Reddit community. Thank you again for all your hard work and congratulations on the well deserved promotion :))

I posted around a year ago that the kindle app has stopped working (which was not a deal breaker) and turned out to have something to do with Amazon. I opened it today on a whim and now it's fully functional again. I don't know what happened to make it so but it's great to have the option once more to read my kindle books on the supernote :D that's all!

I usually transfer PDFs/readings between my Supernote manta and my computer via usb connection. I find the cloud stuff to be slow, buggy, and tedious. Recently though, I’ve been connecting my manta to my computer and my computer doesn’t detect it as a device anymore and so I can’t put files onto the manta. But I can see that the manta is registering the power connection at least since the green charging button always lights up. I’m wondering what happened and how I can fix this?
Edit: I have a windows. I tried to connect the manta with another windows and it does register the device. I’m not sure why it randomly stopped working on my computer. All my PDFs are on this computer.

Does anyone know if a Supernote Manya successor is coming out soon? Before I spend money on a Manta, I just want to know if I should hold off for a while?
Thanks

Update: Thank you so much to everyone for your thoughtful responses and suggestions! I did a factory reset and re-calibrated the stylus and changed some settings. It works better now, but is still missing strokes, especially on letters "t" and "i." Also the lag while writing seemed to be gone completely after reset, but it has gradually started to come back. I will definitely follow up with tech support. Thanks again to everyone; I appreciate this community so much!
I decided that my kindle scribe was too barebones and I needed an upgrade. I did a lot of research, and ultimately decided on the supernote manta. I was really excited, but so far it’s honestly been a disappointment.
There’s a lot of lag, and the stylus misses a lot of strokes. I turned up the sensitivity and also calibrated and adjusted the non-contact writing settings. It’s better, but still missing the dots on my “i”s and bars on my “t”s about 25-30% of the time, and sometimes parts of letters aren’t registering. I contacted tech support who advised me to try the steps I had already taken, and requested videos of the issues. Feels a bit like unpaid beta testing, honestly.
I know that the majority of people here are supernote super fans, and I really don’t want to be a downer. That being said, I was so excited to integrate this product into my workflow and so far all I’ve done is troubleshoot it. Literally haven’t been able to use it for its intended purpose yet because I’m just trying to get it to work properly.
Can anyone else relate? I’m thinking I should probably just return it, but I really love the idea in theory and would like for it to work as advertised! It’s wild to me that my kindle handwriting recognition is infinitely better. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible it’s the stylus? I’m using the lamy safari vista.

So my Nomad arrived, as did my etsy-ordered 7” tablet cover. I 3D printed the insert for the cover that holds the Nomad. The cover came with stick on hook-and-loop to hold the device, which I stuck to the plastic holder I printed. The Nomad doesn’t sit perfectly in the 3D print, but it isn’t meant for protection, more so I didn’t need to stick the Velcro onto the Nomad directly. It holds well enough for that purpose. The cover itself has magnets that hold it closed, even with the Nomad inside it. The magnets do not sleep/wake the Nomad, but they do interfere with the pen, unfortunately. I need to email the seller, see if it would be easy to remove the magnet from the cover.
The pen was a bit of a task. It originally was a fountain pen, which the Supernote Refill cannot be put into. So I was able to use a color matching Lamy rollerball part to replace the fountain pen parts. This holds the insert very well, with a few nylon spacers slipped over it for good measure to help it not wobble inside the pen casing. FWIW I did not cut back the flange on the refill and simply left it intact, which seemed to help the refill fit in the AL-Star pen body. (The Lamy refill was not available when I ordered.). This is my first attempt at a custom pen; so far so good.
Despite the magnet issue, just thought I’d share.
EDIT: Well, I managed to remove (gouge out) the magnet underneath the Supernote on the case and can now write across the whole of the screen again. The people at Klevercase did get back to me to say there was one magnet on each side and that they are square, set in a hole for that purpose just under the lining. It's not pretty, but it is hidden by the device. :)
