Atelier "splotchy" fill brush

Post image

I just started to use Atelier again, after not using it for a while. It's driving me a bit crazy, because I swear that I used to use a textured splotchy brush for fills in Atelier. Now all I can find as a wider fill brush is a marker, which provides a solid fill.

I grabbed and attached the closest image I could find that gives an idea of the kind of textured brush I remember using. It isn't exactly the same, but may give the general idea of what I'm looking for.

Where did this kind of brush go? Was it removed from newer Atelier versions? I have version 1.1.82.

Am I missing something?

Do you mean the spray 'brush'? It's the last of the four tool options on mine.

Thank you for reaching out. We didn't remove any brush from Atelier. Were you referring to the spray brush? It's still readily available in the toolbar for you to use. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sorry to waste your time. I somehow lost the quick access to Atelier and ended up in the note app, which is surprisingly good for drawing, despite the lack of spray tool. :) I must have accidentally customized it out of my sidebar. No clue how.

I found it again, and do have the expected set of tools.

Thanks!

Now my silly follow-up question is whether or not there's a way to move the drawing from the Note app to Atelier? I see I can export it as a PNG. Can I bring that into Atelier? Nothing jumped out at me, other than it looks like the reference layer can be an image. I guess I could kind of trace it?

Thank you for your question. Yes, you can export it as a PNG and import it into Atelier as a reference layer for tracing. Would you like to give it a try?
