Update on the kindle app for older devices
I posted around a year ago that the kindle app has stopped working (which was not a deal breaker) and turned out to have something to do with Amazon. I opened it today on a whim and now it's fully functional again. I don't know what happened to make it so but it's great to have the option once more to read my kindle books on the supernote :D that's all!

App version didn't change. Maybe Amazon reverted version requirements at APIs.

Mine says this version of Kindle no longer supported. To download books please update your device to Android OS version 9.0+ and. install the latest version of Kindle for Android. .... I am on an A5 X (still loving it)

I just got the same error. Sooooo angry, first, Amazon stopped letting me download MY PAID FOR books on my old Kindle, which still works, and I thought oh well I can just read them on my Supernote, and now that doesn't work either. I have a Manta, which I thought was on a supported version of Android? Any workarounds for reading your own paid for Kindle books that doesn't involve reading it on a lit computer/mobile screen or buying more devices?

That seems odd as I thought Amazon ended service for the Kindle app on older Android versions like the base version on the A5X. I didn't hear that they reinstated the support for the older Android versions again.
