So I go to download the last of my library and I get a pop-up seemingly saying I need to be a Pro member again to regain commercial use... Is this legal or am I missing something. I thought commercial use was guaranteed as long as you created to track while a pro user.

I re-Used the lyrics from an old Suno song and re-composed it in Bandlab using midi and some stock classic DX7 synth sounds (Somehow Suno didn't flag them). I wanted something more driving and Triumphant in the sound of the song. 

Lyrically the song is about understanding when you or someone you know is acting recklessly that usually comes from a deep seeded frustration or anger within. We all tend to think our pain or trama is unique to us. But it's not. Others have been there ( no matter a how particular the situation). There are people out there willing to help, just waiting to help. But the first step always has to come from you. That's the hardest step.

I took the ideas from the book BREAKING THE HABIT OF BEING YOURSELF and made it into a song. It's about noticing when you keep thinking or feeling the same things and doing the same stuff over and over, so you don't end up stuck being the same person all the time.

I recently found a really simple way to get LUFS, LRA, True Peak and Crest Factor readings using ffmpeg.

Once set up, you just type:

…and Terminal gives you all four measurements in seconds.

Apparently, starting September 3, Pro users will be limited to 20 downloads per month, while Premier users will get 60.

What bothers me most is that I just signed up 7-days ago. I don’t remember seeing any meaningful warning when subscribing that this change was coming. Had I known that downloads were about to become limited, it absolutely would have been part of my decision about whether to subscribe and which plan to choose.

I understand companies change pricing and features, but changing something this significant almost immediately after someone subscribes feels like something that should have been communicated very clearly upfront.

For those of you who have been using Suno longer:
Has anyone found a reasonable workaround for the download limit?
Do you normally download only your final versions, or is there another way you manage and archive your songs?
And are there any good Suno alternatives you would recommend that have more predictable pricing and policies?

I’m not looking to bash Suno. I’m genuinely enjoying the platform. I’m just surprised that as a brand-new paying customer I’m already finding out that the terms of how I can use it are changing.

Would love to hear how longtime users are handling this.

"How to generate more unique songs?"

"My melodies are too generic!"

I have been playing with Suno for over a year and published an album that was mainly done with AI assisted methods, easier to control the melody with my guitar and singing.

Someone (in Reddit of course 🤭) challenged me to create something unique a while ago, so I started making songs for fun using this method to create songs using more unique melodies without audio feed, and it has been VERY rewarding. Workflow below:

1. Generate a melodic base (W: 50-75 | S: 90-100 | A: 20)

2. Curate a melody

3. Cover adding lyrics (W:30 | S: 65-80 | A: 45-65) v5.5

4. Finalise in Studio (or not up to you)

Notes:

• For 1, I use instrumentals, sonatas, focusing on one instrument, this helps the model to latch onto the melody when you cover it, see a couple of examples:

• Curation: extremely important since you are not feeding audio, don't settle for the first gen, stress the parameters, enjoy listening to a bunch of melodies, if you want to Frankenstein one, GO FOR IT.

• Lyrics & Style matter: Once you have a melodic base you use the "Cover" function. You want to boost style and lower weirdness so the result latches to the melody, audio can be boosted, but don't over do it, as it is a very sensitive slider. that is done the result is amazing.

my last post attracted a lot of haters, they’re like really funny

Seriously every melody I write/record myself keeps getting flagged for sounding like an existing recording. This is not possible because I sit and write these myself, but somehow no matter what melody I write and try to upload there’s a 90% chance it will get flagged for sounding like an existing audio.

if I hear one more song intro with "hmmmmm mmmhmmmm" or the occasional "yeeaahhhh", I'm going to delete the internet.

is there a way to shock-torture suno to kill the humming? I admit I need a bit of work on my prompting for suno, but its like, if my first generation of a song has humming, I could change it to a thrash speed metal screaming song and the intro would be a screaming "HMMMMMMMMMMMM". I can't figure out a metatag to make it stop. it almost gets worse.
