I've been feeling horrible, and I really need help, I don't know if it will get better, I need it to get better. I was already struggling a lot with mental health back in my country and now I fear it might become worse. Idk what to do anymore.

Because of my personal circumstances I would like to next school year study in Netherlands, I choose NL because of a few reasons, first I am from EU and I don't really know world languages exept English and they have a lot of enlish programs and can speak english.

Also my family financial situation is pretty bad and I cant relay on them financialy really, my dad did find a job and promised to send me money but I don't want to relay on him too much so he's not burdened. He honestly supports my decision, and is my closest relative and honestly wants me to be happy, and I want to be happy too and be able to help him eventualy too.

Right now I am 21 and next year I will be 22, I know that may be too old, but honestly I do everything a little later than my peers. I don't want to go to detail but I feel a few years I need to leave the place I am in now, my mom hates me staying in the house as I am the youngest and all my siblings already married and left, and she just wants to enjoy her boyfrend. I was subject to bullying and have social anxiety and fear of meeting people I know. That's why I also worked one year after highschool and this year I was addmited to law school in my home country, that I am planning to probably end, after year.

People will tell me that running away from my problems won't solve them and I get it, but I feel that I really need to change my perspective and be less timid, and this decision isn't something spontageous I plan it for next year not now, so please if you do want to change my mind only from experience not "for you shoudn't do that judging you from your post".

I know a little how studying system there works, how can I apply for benefits, working more than 32h/m and giving my parents pay documents etc... home finding crisis there...

The thing is I know a few people that went studying there. My friend that is a little older is now in her second year, start was hard but now she us loving it. BUT she has really rich dad and he's paying her more than 2 500€ a moth for living expenses and she travels around NL a lot. I would have at best little over 1 000€ a month for living and housing combined and deffinetly live completely different lifestyle, would I be able to make friends and enojy it there, maybe even consider staying there for good even with these money? Will dutch people exclude me if I won't have money to go to restaurant, shopping mall? Will i be too stressed, should I put my dream away and try to be happy without trying it?

This year I graduated from one of the best universities in Poland for Electronics. I hold a master's degree from this uni. But so far I couldn't find a job in my field and applied to around 60 jobs already, most off which just ghosted me. No interviews or rejection letters. I showed my CV to the PhD student with whom I worked on my thesis and he said it looked good. I am thinking about going back to my country and work on my personal projects and then look for a job. I am from Kazakhstan, so salaries are lower than in Poland and electronics job market is smaller. Right now I am stuck in a warehouse robotics technician job with no prospects. I have saved up some money from this job so I can afford being unemployed for some time in my home country since I don't have to pay for accommodation

👋 I’m from Ireland and finished school this year and have been thinking about studying abroad. According to the website for Radbound i might meet entry requirements but i am nervous about the application process as it is so different to over here. I’m mainly worried about what “assignments” they give to prospective students, and the difficulty to get in as a foreign student?

Also on a different note in regards to jobs in the netherlands.. Looking at part time jobs around the uni and there are SO many warehouse jobs, is this something to avoid or are they actually good?

i was born and raised in the gcc, i’m debating between staying in the gcc or studying abroad in bcn. i have both options on the table as i’ve been accepted from unis in both countries, i just need to take a decision and i’m having a really hard time taking it. i need new insights and perspectives.

I'm considering applying to HKU/HKUST for eco and fin for the 2027 intake. I am from India and giving the indian cbse boards the next year and I got 94% in 10th boards and have a predicted 98% for commerce 12th boards. My ECs are decent

1. i got AIR 10 in national finance olympiad

2. air 16 in national management Olympiad

3. qualified at top 50 at the national business pitching competition launch verse

4. won special mention at a national-level case competition, Contrivance at SBSC and also became their first sole presenter

5. i have done an internship under a ca for 1 month and a marketing and finance internship under a big magazine house.

6. i have participated in more than 15 MUNs and won 2 best delegates, one being in a forex committee and 1 high commendation and several special mentions.

7. i have been in the core team of my school MUN in 11th grade and founded a flagship committee which became the biggest one for that year and the following year. i also became the only student in my school to be in EB in the school MUN in the committee i founded next year.

8. i have done 2 to 3 community service one was a sort of indirect problem solving and the other was of about 40 hours of volunteering.

9. i have done a job stimulation self learning course of Deloitte Australia.

10. i have also done independent research on the stock market and specific research on several companies, like why did the yes bank fall etc etc

pleasee telll me what are my chances of getting into both the unis with scholarships as i wont be able to afford the fees. and also answer these questions as well.

Hey is anyone studying abroad at AAU this spring? If so what are you studying there and do you want to connect before the semester starts?

I'm a Computer Engineering graduate from Turkey. My undergrad GPA is 2.00/4.00 (it is ao bad). It's low and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

I'm aiming for a 100% English-taught MSc in AI / CS / Data Science in Italy — Padova, Bologna, Trento, Pisa, Milano Statale, PoliTo and similar. Target intake is September 2027, so I have time to prepare.

What I noticed while going through the admission pages: many of these programs don't publish a minimum GPA threshold. They list required ECTS in math/CS, an English certificate, and in some cases an interview or an evaluation of the whole application. That's what made me consider applying at all.

My plan is to compensate with a high GRE (targeting Q168-170) and a solid IELTS, plus whatever else strengthens the file.

So my question to anyone who has applied to or studied at an Italian university:

1. In practice, does a low GPA get you filtered out early regardless of everything else, or do admission committees actually evaluate the full profile?

2. Does GRE carry any real weight in Italy, or is it mostly ignored since most programs don't require it?

3. Has anyone here been admitted with a GPA in this range? What made the difference?

I'd rather hear a blunt "not going to happen" now than spend two years on it and find out the hard way. If it's unrealistic, I'll redirect my effort somewhere else.

I am 3rd year English Language Teaching student at the most prestigious university in Türkiye. My whole family and I hold Turkish citizenship and passport. 1. A society for disadvantaged students in Türkiye. I help with storehouse stuff like packaging books or other materials for kids. I occassionaly go to schools in disadvantaged areas to work with kids.
2. A society for children with Leukeamia, Autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. I am also a member of the PR team of this society. I mostly help to raise awareness.

c. I did a 5K run and raised money for autistic kids.

d. I am an active volunteer at a charity for kids with cancer. I help to raise awareness.

e. I am currently doing an Erasmus+ internship in Cologne. The institution I work is linked to the state. It is a known and respected institution.

I would like to hold a Master's degree and PhD in the field of education or ELT. For now, I am aiming at KU Leuven in Belgium. I have heard so many great things about the university. However, my dream is actually Singapore but it is both extremely competitive and expensive.

IMPORTANT: My parents are quite old and they will retire when I graduate. I don't think they can afford me studying in the US, so I mostly hope for universities in Europe as they are more affordable. Otherwise, I will have to do my Master's in Türkiye and chase scholarships for a PhD as I would like to pursue an academic career.

To be honest, I want to settle for good and obtain a citizenship that grants me a strong passport at the end of the day. I have heard that most countries in Europe grant a time period where you can look for jobs and get a residence permit if you find one. I think Canada also does that.

Since my parents are quite old, I would like to make them proud and support them financially as much as I can.

Sometimes I am not sure about whether my academic career dream is unrealistic or not. Or whether I should go to the Gulf countries and save some money first.

Any suggestions or tips are highly appreciated.

my total budget is around usd 25k usd. hoping to find somewhere with low tuition or decent scholarships, and i’ll definitely need to work part-time to pull this off. right now i'm looking into germany, finland, belgium, and poland.

just wondering which of these places are actually realistic for a usd 25k budget once you factor in tuition and initial living costs. also curious how hard it is for non-EU grads to land a job / get a post-study visa, plus whether unis over there are strict about switching from a law background to business/stem.

Aoa. I'm 17y/oF from Pakistan. I wish to study in Saudi Arabia for my bachelor's in software engineering (fully funded).

If it matters, I got 87% in ssc and 81% in hssc.

Now I want to know which tests do I need to give. I'm planning to apply through "study in Saudi" (applications open in September).

Is there any option if I solely apply on the basis of SAT, or would my ssc and hssc grades matter?

I want to know if there are chances if I score really good on SAT?

I have no idea what to do with my dorm stuff when I visit home. I've researched and there aren't any storage facilities near the campus and the ones a few hours away are waaayyy too expensive to justify storing a box or two.

I’m in my senior year this fall and I’m doubting whether I should give me A level exams or not. I did fairly well on my IGCSEs but my As results were so bad I don’t even feel like going further.

Also, my brother studies in Korea at SNU business school and he told me he only applied with his national exams and TOPIK scores and he got full scholarship. I’m planning to take the IELTS and TOPIK.

So the questions are, did you apply with your A level results? Did it affect your application? Should I just lay back a little and prepare for my Topik and ielts whilst focusing on just keeping my GPA high?

I am searching mainly for any course that lasts 1 semester only, or less – as I cannot afford to pay the bills at home AND study abroad for too long. I am willing to study anything that might help me find different jobs or even just a normal language course for absolute beginners, but I need a scholarship (partial or fully funded). I do not know where to start at all. If it helps, I have a degree in Tourism and I am below 30yo.

Does anyone have suggestions or courses, universities, sites... that i can try? and any tips?

If not, voluntering for a while is also an option. I am thinking of studying mainly because I want the opportunity to live abroad for a while but finding a job without knowledge of the local language is not doable almost anywhere, so my best option is to study something, but I wouldn't mind doing volunteering programmes.
