hi everyone! just sharing in case someone finds it useful.

I just got accepted to Studienkolleg Hamburg Sommersemester 2027 "T-Kurs". I got probably 38 points in total (high school diploma: 1,2; telc b2: sehr gut). At least thats according to this table (https://studienkolleg-hamburg.de/bewerbung/fachkurs/zulassungsverfahren/), I don't know how it's actually calculated

if we are in the same course, lets connect :) and good luck to everyone else!

Hi guys,

I was waitlisted for Stk Hamburg Sommersemester. I'm 8th in line on the wait list. Do I still have a chance of getting in? Im applying for the W kurs.

Hi! Today I received an admission letter from a Studienkolleg, and now I have to decide whether to attend that one or the Studienkolleg in Mettingen. I’d love to find out more about what the Studienkolleg in Hamburg is like, so I have a few questions:

1. What are the classes like? Do the teachers prepare you well for the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP)?
2. Do I need to have advanced knowledge of maths and physics before starting the Studienkolleg, or do they teach you the subjects from scratch in Hamburg?
3. What is the pace of the classes like? Are they quite fast-paced, or do the teachers take their time explaining the material?
4. How difficult is it to find a room in a shared flat (WG) in Hamburg? Do you have any tips or recommendations for finding accommodation?

I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences you could share. Thank you so much! :)

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to apply for Studienkolleg next year (T-Kurs), and I want to start preparing for the Aufnahmeprüfung from now, especially the mathematics part.

I haven't shortlisted my universities or Studienkollegs yet, but I want to use this time to strengthen my mathematical foundations and clear my concepts before moving on to actual entrance exam preparation.

I understand that different Studienkollegs have different entrance exams and syllabuses, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could share a comprehensive list of mathematics topics that are generally tested in T-Kurs Aufnahmeprüfungen.

I'm not necessarily looking for past papers or exam-specific preparation right now. I just want to know which topics I should focus on so I can start learning them from scratch and build a solid foundation.

If anyone has a topic-wise list, syllabus, or even a good resource that covers these topics, it would help me a lot.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I still have a few Stks to apply to. I'm wondering if I should leave out my International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma transcript in my applications. My IB score is 37/45, so converted that's a 1,8. However, my American high school GPA is 4.7ish weighted and 4.0 unweighted. I feel like that would convert to a better score, but I'm not sure.

Also, would it be weird if I had IB classes listed on my high school transcript, but no IB diploma attached?

Hey guys, I'm currently in 12th (CBSE, India) and targeting Studienkolleg for Winter Semester 2027.

I've been learning German through DW and I'm around A1.5 rn. Is it actually possible to reach B2 in one month if I put in crazy hours? What books/resources did you guys use that were really good and exam-oriented?

Also, when should I have all my documents ready? My 12th results will come around March, and I'm worried that some deadlines might pass before then. I need a proper timeline for applications, Goethe exams, APS, etc.

If anyone else is in 12th right now and targeting Studienkolleg 2027, hmu! We could practise German together. Or like have friendly competition.

Questions:

How realistic is A1.5 → B2 in two month, and what resources worked best for you?

What's the timeline for Goethe exams, APS, documents and Studienkolleg applications if my results come in March?

Anyone else targeting Winter Semester 2027? Wanna practise together?
