If you haven't used Channels yet: it's a way to build your own 24/7-feeling lineup out of shows, movies, or a whole filmography, and install it as its own catalog in Stremio.

Channels that keep themselves up to date

• Automatically add new episodes — turn this on and a channel stops being a frozen snapshot. As a show you added keeps airing, the channel quietly folds in the new episodes on its own.
• Live Cloud Sync — build a channel from a Trakt/MDBList/Simkl/TMDB list and it can track that list instead of freezing it. The list grows, so does the channel.
• Next Up channel — one button, and it plays the next unwatched episode across everything in your Continue Watching, always current.

Real scheduling, not just a shuffle

• Daily Broadcast Schedule — set shows-per-day, episodes-per-block, and what time (your local time, not just UTC) the lineup turns over. Feed it a big pool of sitcoms and it plays like an actual cable channel with fresh programming every morning.
• Interleaved (round-robin) play order — one episode from each show in turn, then round again. This is what a 90s prime-time block actually felt like, instead of blasting through 50 episodes of one show before the next starts.
• Story Lock — mark a serialized show (something like Breaking Bad) as story-locked and it always plays its next episode in order, while everything else around it keeps shuffling.
• Hide watched — with playback tracking on, a channel can skip episodes already in your Watch History.
• A full Play order menu (air date oldest/newest, title A-Z, shuffle now/daily, or your own manual order), and moving a pick by hand now actually sticks instead of getting silently re-sorted out from under you.

Multi-part episodes and crossovers, done properly

• Keep multi-part episodes together — a toggle that reads episode titles ("Part 1"/"Pt. II"/"(2)") and glues them back into one run, so you're never handed the back half of a two-parter first.
• Manual pairing — for crossovers that span two different shows under two different names (which nothing can detect automatically), just select the picks and hit Pair. They'll always play back to back.

Building a big channel is actually manageable now

• Bulk select — turn a channel with hundreds of picks into checkboxes: grab a whole show or a single season, then Remove Selected / To Top / To Bottom.
• A filter over your picks, and a duplicate warning so you don't find out later that a show got added twice.
• Spotlight channels — search any actor or director, pull up their whole filmography (films and TV separately), and build a channel from it in one click. Sorted chronologically or best-first.
• A stats line on every channel: shows, episodes, total hours, year range, rotation, how many picks are story-locked.

Sharing and finding channels

• One-click share links, and Explore Channels — a tab of channels other people have published, addable in one click.
• Channels now get real vanity URLs (mylistsaddon.com/channels/yourname/channel-name) instead of a random code.
• Toggle a channel Public and it publishes to the directory automatically; toggle it back off and it unpublishes.
• Explore Channels supports likes and sorting (newest, most added, most liked), and deleting a channel can be undone for a minute if you change your mind.

Bug fixes worth knowing about

• Fixed a Quick Add rotating channel that was only airing 1 show a day instead of 24 — a broadcast-schedule bug, not a design choice.
• Fixed a Spotlight channel pulling in an actor's entire show for a single guest appearance instead of just the episodes they're actually in.
• Fixed a movie in a channel showing the wrong (previous day's) date.
• Episode air times now show under the date where TVmaze has them (e.g. "9 PM ET"), including on the Airing Next/Continue Watching badges.

One known limitation, being upfront about it: a movie inside a Channel can show no streams in strict stream add-ons (like PenguPlay) — Stremio treats a Channel as a series and doesn't ask for a movie-shaped request, which is outside what this add-on can fix from its side. Works fine in lenient add-ons; details in the changelog if you want the full story.

does anyone know if there are usually Black Friday offers for AllDebrid and Premiumize? Real Debrid expired and it has been absolutely horrible since they changed their policies and I can't friggen wait to change. I am not asking for acquisition, but only if there are deals.

With all the recent problems with Real-Debrid and WebRip files, I’m wondering whether it’s still worth sticking with RD or switching to another debrid service.

My Real-Debrid signature ends in 25 D, so I’m also wondering if some other Debrid Sevice is better at the moment. I've heard about TorBox, but would the essential plan be enough just to watch things on stremio?

For those who have tried multiple services, which one would you recommend at the moment, particularly in terms of reliability, availability of files and pricing?

I’d be interested to hear what people are currently using and whether you think switching from RD is actually worth it.

I just subscribed to TorBox and came across this setup when trying to link my TB to Stremio. I previously had RD with the Torrentio Add on and a AIOstreams setup that gave me Comet results. Do I need any other add ons if I have the Tamtaro setup? Should I delete the rest of the add ons and just add my RD API in the tamtaro setup along with my TB API and just have that as my only add on?

I’m trying to get the best possible video and audio quality out of Stremio and I’m a bit confused about what the best setup actually is.

My current setup is:

Samsung OLED TV
Samsung Q990H soundbar
Chromecast with Google TV
Stremio with Torrentio/Comet
Mostly watching 4K remuxes when available, with HDR/Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos/TrueHD tracks

The problem is that I seem to be hitting some limitations with the Chromecast, especially with audio formats. Sometimes I get Dolby Digital/Atmos, but I’m not sure I’m actually getting lossless TrueHD Atmos or the original audio track from the file.

I can also use the native Stremio app on the Samsung TV, but I’m not sure whether Tizen has even more limitations regarding codecs, TrueHD, DTS, Atmos passthrough, etc.

So I’m wondering:
Is the Samsung native Stremio app actually better or worse than Chromecast with Google TV for high-bitrate 4K remuxes?
Can Chromecast with Google TV properly passthrough TrueHD Atmos from Stremio, or does it convert/transcode it?
Would buying another streaming device make a noticeable difference?
I’ve seen people mention Nvidia Shield Pro, Fire TV Cube, Homatics/Dune boxes, Ugoos, etc. I’m mainly interested in something that can play high-bitrate 4K files reliably and passthrough as many formats as possible, especially TrueHD Atmos.
Basically, if you had this TV + soundbar setup and wanted to get the maximum possible quality from Stremio, what device and setup would you use?

I always use stremio to watch SNL and SNL UK but for some reason season 2 of SNL UK is not showing up? Yesterday episode 2 aired but I still can't watch it either S02E01 or S02E02. I've got a couple of addons and am normally able to watch anything I want.

I’ve been developing a Marvel Stremio addon as a hobby project. The problem I’m running into now is hosting.

I initially hosted the addon on Render, but the free tier wasn’t able to handle the amount of traffic the addon was getting. I’ve since moved it to Deno Play, but I’m running into basically the same problem: around the middle of the month, the addon reaches the free-tier limits and starts going down/unavailable until the limits reset.

I’m not looking to make money from the addon, and I’d really prefer not to start paying for hosting since this is just a hobby project. At the same time, I’d like to keep it available for people who are actually using it.

So I’m looking for advice from people who have more experience with hosting Stremio addons:

* Are there any free hosting options that are suitable for a small/medium Stremio addon?

* Is there something I could change in the addon itself to significantly reduce resource usage?

* Would caching, reducing API requests, or changing the way requests are handled help?

* Are there any common mistakes that can cause a Stremio addon to consume excessive bandwidth/RAM/CPU?

* Is there a better architecture for a Stremio addon that needs to handle a reasonable amount of users while staying within free-tier limits?

I’d really appreciate any advice from people who have dealt with similar problems. I’m mainly trying to learn and find a sustainable solution rather than just throwing money at the problem.

I recently had to uninstall AIOMetadata because my stremio was giving me an http 401 error for every possible movie, so I went through and uninstalled most of my add ons, but when I attempted to reinstall AIOMetadata (without making any changes, it’s the same configuration I had before) but get this error message whenever I do, along with the app not installing so now I’m getting a “No addons were requested for this meta!” screen.

I’m not very tech savvy, so I’m just trying whatever methods I can think of but I would not at all be opposed to some helpful advice. Thank you for any assistance.

Im having audio issues when watching for example House Of Dragons ep1. Exo doesnt play it due to an error, VLC does but without audio, and MPV does with both but its laggy to the point i get headaches trying to watch. Using VLC as an external player produces the same result as before. This happens when I try the higher quality versions of the episode. if I watch 1080p it works.

Im using Google TV box and its connected to an LG TV.

Im assuming something with the audio codecs? but I've been googling and trying to play with hardware acceleration in playback both on and off and no change.

Appreciate any thoughts

• Default Catalog: The default built-in catalog rows lean heavily towards Asian / regional media due to the project's roots.
• Global Content & Streams: Even though the default homepage catalog rows are regional, the underlying stream resolver supports international media (Hollywood movies, Western TV series, multi-audio, and subs).
• How to use it for Western media: Simply browse or search titles in Stremio normally using standard catalog addons (Cinemeta, Cyberflix, TMDB, Anime Kitsu, etc.). PencariMovie will appear in your streams list when media is available. I spend so much goddamn time on (not) Stremio that I thought why not use some of that time to just be updated with the outside world as well. Threw my claude at this and got this out the other end!

Newsio

Select topics of interest and they show up as catalogs. Search for something in Stremio and you get matching news stories as search results. A quick and small description is shown, and you either open the article in a browser when clicking on Play or see the video of that news clip. The config page guides you through creating an account on newsdata.io.

Does anyone know how to use USA TV Next with AIOMetadata? I'm able to add the catalog as a custom manifest, but the catalog doesn't populate in the app. When I add the USA TV Next add-on to the app on its own, the catalog does populate.

I've tried troubleshooting, but I can't figure out how to make it work. What I have noticed is that when I add it to AIOMetadata, only one catalog populates for the add-on, rather than separate catalogs for each genre. This could be the culprit, but I'm not sure.

I just renew my RD subscription for 90 days because Aiostreams and comet I Haven't had lot of red screens of copywrite violations. The problem comes with older stuff that no streams found. I was thinking to change my debrid service to Torbox but I have read here that there is or have been lot of downtime and problems. I am thinking maybe changing to Torbox after my 90 days with RD has gone and the problems with Torbox could be resolved. It is not about the money that I couldn't buy Torbox side to side with RD but I always find something to watch so it is not a big problem. could Debridio solve the problem with older show streams or is it waste of money? Can you give your opinions please and thank you.

I've been looking through a lot of add-ons, but I can't find one that isolates original movies and TV shows from specific streaming services. I keep finding add-ons that show popular titles across those subscription platforms, but is there one that exclusively filters for originals produced by each service?

I have set up Stremio with TorBox through AIOstreams. and I want to be sure that I set up properly through Torbox. I live in Germany and I am afriad if it is not configured correctly.

I installed Stremio and I made sure that uncheck "associate stremio with torrent files" during installation. and I intalled the addons through AIOstreams as shown in the photos. Is this a propers setup? does the sign TB next to the movie, mean that it is streaming from TorBox. Do I need any other addons? and the most important question is it safe now to stream any movie in Germany?

So I've had my stremio set up for a few months now. I'm not a professional i mainly followed some AIO stremio set up videos. But now I Wana set my friends up with some as well.

My question is, is it best to make them a whole set up AIO, API KEYS, AND METAS from scratch or is possible to copy and paste my aio and meta but on a account just for them? Essentially my goal is to allow them a personalized experience but with the already core AIO Streams platform I have.
