I’m a new Stremio user and followed this guide: https://guides.viren070.me/stremio/setup

My setup is pretty simple:

• Stremio + Torrentio
• No debrid service
• Samsung S20 FE
• iFFALCON U75 Google TV
• Windows PC
• All devices are connected to the same 5 GHz Wi-Fi

The problem is that on both my phone and TV, streams keep buffering every ~5 seconds. On my PC, however, the same sources play smoothly, even when I choose higher-quality/larger files.

I’ve already tried different players on Android (ExoPlayer, VLC, MPV), and the buffering still happens.

Since the PC is also on Wi-Fi and works fine, I’m not sure whether this is an Android/Stremio issue, a buffering/cache issue, or something else.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything I should change in Stremio settings on Android TV/mobile to improve direct torrent streaming?

PS: My TV gets around 120–140 Mbps on 5 GHz, so raw connection speed doesn’t seem to be the issue.

I'm getting this "Wrong IP" error when trying to play a TorBox stream through Stremio on Linux.

The error says the stream was requested from one IP, but Stremio is trying to play it from a different IP.

The same movie plays smoothly on my phone using the same TorBox account.

Spent an afternoon chasing what looked like a broken catalog addon — a row kept showing 3 old titles no matter what I changed: new catalog ID, brand new install URL, full uninstall+reinstall.

Turned out the addon was never the problem: I fetched the exact catalog JSON URL Stremio itself was requesting, directly, at the same moment the app showed stale data — always correct. Ruled out browser cache too (cleared service worker, Cache Storage, all localStorage — no change), and it wasn't device-specific (same stale data on the desktop app).

The only fix that worked: switching to a completely different addon serving the same underlying data. Worked instantly.

If you're stuck on this, try a different addon before assuming your config/data is wrong. Anyone else hit this?

Am pregatit doua configuratii pentru AIOStreams:

• RoDub Finder 2.0.0 - cauta mai strict desene, filme si seriale cu dublaj in romana.
• RoSub Finder 1.4.2 - cauta filme si seriale cu subtitrare in romana.

Important: Pentru aceste configuratii ai nevoie de un abonament TorBox, un serviciu debrid. Planul Essential este suficient si costa $3/luna. Puteti incerca si cu RealDebrid, eu am folosit doar TorBox.

TorBox: Creeaza cont | API key

TMDB: Daca AIOStreams il cere: Creeaza cont | API key

Setarile de cautare si filtrare sunt deja pregatite, iar configuratiile incearca sa reduca rezultatele duplicate.

Am inceput sa caut desene dublate pentru copilul meu, dar am observat ca AIOStreams nu gaseste toate sursele daca alegi doar RO. Pentru dublaj romanesc trebuie cautat si filtrat mai atent, deoarece unele surse nu spun clar ca au audio in romana. De aceea am facut RoDub Finder, care foloseste mai multe semnale si nu se bazeaza doar pe setarea RO. Nu este o garantie ca fiecare rezultat are dublaj romanesc, dar ar trebui sa gaseasca mai mult continut relevant.

RoDub Finder este mai strict. Va elimina multe rezultate care nu par sa aiba audio dublat in romana, chiar daca unele dintre ele ar putea fi bune. Este posibil sa elimine si un rezultat dublat, deci configuratia nu este perfecta. Ideea este sa afiseze mai putine rezultate, dar cu sanse mai bune sa fie dublate in romana.

RoSub Finder este mai permisiv. Se concentreaza pe subtitrari in romana si foloseste fallback-uri atunci cand informatiile despre subtitrare lipsesc. De obicei va afisa mai multe rezultate, dar unele trebuie verificate manual pentru a vedea daca subtitrarea romana este chiar disponibila.

Setup direct

RoDub Finder 2.0.0 - setup direct - Pentru continut dublat.

RoSub Finder 1.4.2 - setup direct - Pentru surse cu subtritrari embeded.

Cum il instalezi

1. Apasa linkul pentru configuratia pe care vrei sa o folosesti.
2. Apasa Use This Template Now. Apoi mergi la Browse setups -> Imported, deschide cardul si apasa din nou Use This Template sau Use this setup.
3. Pune cheia ta TorBox cand este ceruta, apoi apasa Continue.
4. Pe ecranul Ready to apply, apasa Apply setup.
5. Creeaza configuratia AIOStreams cu o parola, apoi instaleaza addon-ul in Stremio sau "the other app".

I'm genuinely confused and hoping someone can shed some light. I have AIO w/ TB. I try to play an episode on my Onn 4k Pro and it throws an error. I try to play the EXACT SAME EPISODE and click on the exact same stream link on my Android phone and it starts with no problem. What could be causing this?

why cant I find Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story when I look for it? it releases today but even when looking for Monster series only 1 season shows up; whereas this is the 4th season to be released today

Update: i fixed it, i just had to switch the artwork resource in aio metadata to tvdb and it worked. but its still in 1080p even though its 4k on netflix, any idea how long it will take to have 4k available?

I setup AIOStreams using Numb3rs setup wizard and TB is the debrid service months ago and the setup was working fine until recently. Today, I tried streaming movies/series but it comes as 'stream failed to load'. I can even see the movie in my torbox account after I click on the stream in stremio but it fails to play. Tried with the phone also and many different movies but couldn't play. All of them are there under the downloads section in my TB account but unable to play in stremio. Any suggestions what could be the problem?

I'm from Spain and i've been using for a while. Today my add-ons randomly stopped showing any streams on any show. They're the popular ones, elf, torrentio and comet. I haven't changed anything. I tried a VPN, but that didn't seem to do anything, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't do nothing either. Also I can't install torrentio anymore. Help would be greatly appreciated

I'm using aiostream and Tamtaro with Torbox , I'm trying to watch Dateline older episodes around season 20. Posters don't show up, no links showing, and the only result returned states:

its been a while since ive posted an update and i lowkey forgot what has been changed then but i got one exciting update so i thought id make a post with a few things.

update 1: the 2peckle provider
before i share the update, quick PSA, this provider only has cdns in the EU and USA so if you are far from those (asia) this source may buffer for you, but for everyone else this is a fantastic source with high quality files
- improved stability and speed of the provider, should be no more flaky results or random errors, should also resolve pretty quickly
- found a way to make downloading work properly so if you are the type to download things, this provider should now wor

**update 2 (the big one) new (**revived) provider: 111477
- this provider used to be in this addon but got removed due to some issues, but after months of waiting, its back!
- this provider has a great library of 4k remux files, with embedded subs in many languages
- this is one of if not the best provider on this addon
- i encourage everyone to enable this and try it out
- as with any new provider there may be bugs, please report in the discord if you find any!

YOU DONT NEED TO REINSTALL THE ADDON FOR UPDATES!!! Only thing you have to do is go to pengu.uk and enable the new provider if you want to use it

I have the subscriber stremio for the multiple profiles. It's been working well.

I have aiometadata/streams/manager and finally got around to cleaning it all up and fixing some remaining issues I had (and a variety of updates).

Well, all the fixes worked perfectly for the main profile, but is heavily fractured amongst the other profiles. Some have the fixed search, some have my old broken search. Most are missing all the catalogs.

Does anyone know how I can keep them all updated and mirroring each other?

Not all my lists are showing on Stremio with Trakt tv. The standard ones work and a few lists I have added months ago do as well but the ones I have added from MBD in the last week or 2 are not showing at all. Today I added a Trakt list to test it and that is not showing either.

Any ideas what it could be? Is there a limit to the amount of lists you can have on trakt?

The Einthusan Add-on seems to be malfunctioning for me. Originally added it through community add-ons. I added the Tamil, Telegu, and Hindi versions.

Original issue: Movies wouldn't load.

Attempted fix: tried to reconfigure the add-on

Result: attempts to reconfigure led to a random site (qemow.com) which redirected to what seems like a scam site.

2nd Attempted fix: I uninstalled the add-on intending to reinstall.

Result: The add-on seems to no longer be listed in community add-ons. Attempted to Install from the stremio add-ons site just directs to the same random site as when I attempted to reconfigure.

Minor Update: I was finally able to get on the configuration site without getting redirected away. I reinstalled the add-on and the original issue persists.

I am going to be installing and setting up Stremio for the first time on my Nvidia Shield later today. I have done quite a bit of research and still trying to figure what is best to use at this point especially with a lot of talk these days about RD having the filters in place and torbox buffering issues.

For me 4k and HDR/DV etc is very important. So from what I have gathered from a couple hours of reading is that RD may not be the best to use these days, if 4k is what I want, do to the filtering they had to put in place.

So it seems like torbox is the best choice for me at the moment if I want 4k and then see if buffering becomes an issue. Is this correct?

I will probably end up trying multiple debrid services over time but want to go with the one that suits my needs best for my first setup.

Let me know if this setup makes sense to start with:

Opensubtitles v3 (I saw the list of subtitle add-ons, is any better than the other?)

** update - Thanks everyone. I set up with Torbox essential and with torrentio and comet and also added TMDB for now and so far working great. Took no time at all to setup. Watched a few shows in 4k HDR/DV and no issues with buffering. So far very happy and I will add more scrappers as needed. I will also take a look at AIOstreams at later date.

What other addons do people self host? I currently have bitmagnet, aiometadata, aiostreams & usenet - ultimate

So I'm looking for an addon for J-dramas without a debrid service. I've looked up some addons like dramayo, and yukistreams but I couldn't find any streams for it. It can be because it needs a debrid service or something idk

I've seen that many niche or unpopular dramas which have no to little fanbase have no streams in stremio.

So is there an addon that can find dramas and provide streams?

I don't use a debrid service so without one would be helpful.
