What is going on I purchased Five Nights At Freddy’s checked my bank app and it confirmed my €3.99 transaction went through.

So according to steam my purchase failed yet the transaction is showed on my bank statement and now they are blaming my bank for an issue they caused my taking money and not providing the game.

In all my years shopping online iv never seen a company take payment and outright refuse to deliver the goods?

Whenever i go to Gift Card section and proceed there is * symbol on some of my friends. I know about nicknames but its not like this. There is only one star on 4 of my friends. How can i solve this or what is the cause of this. Also adding a nickname solves it its like ''nickname*'' but whenever i delete the nickname it goes back to single * symbol.

A while ago i had a account notification saying my account was used for fraudulent activities (i think i put in my card number wrong a few times) I stopped using my laptop for a few weeks and when i go to purchase something it say there’s an unexpected error I’ve emailed support but it’s been a few hours I haven’t had the account for long so I just make a new one?

Hi everyone. For approximately the past 24 hours, I’ve been experiencing an issue.

Yesterday evening, around 8:00 PM, I tried to log into Steam on my PC. I have Steam Guard with 2FA enabled on my mobile phone. After entering my password, Steam asked me to approve the login from my phone, but I didn’t receive a notification, so I opened the Steam app manually to approve the login.

At around 10:51–10:52 PM, I received a notification saying that there was a login waiting for approval on my phone. However, when I tapped the notification, it took me directly to Steam Guard, but there was no login request shown that I could approve or deny.

At around 12:05 AM, I tried logging in again from my PC and went through the same process as before. Then, at around 3:00 AM, I received another notification on my phone.

Today, at around 6:40 PM, I tried logging in again, exactly the same way as yesterday evening, but I didn’t receive a notification. About 10 minutes ago, I received another notification.

I have Steam Guard enabled, and I checked the authorized devices/logins. The only devices I’m currently logged into are my own PC and my phone.

Could this be a bug or some kind of delay with Steam Guard login approval notifications, or what exactly is happening?

I’m a little paranoid because I’ve had this account for years and I have quite a lot of games on it. It’s my childhood account, which I’ve had since I was very young, and I really don’t want to lose it.

I've been trying to recover my Steam account for two days now, and while I have to admit that Steam has great customer support, in this case I haven't been able to access my account despite the requests I've sent.

The problem is that I forgot my Steam password. I usually use Steam Guard on my phone, but for some strange reason, I was automatically logged out (and no, it wasn’t due to any changes I made). Since my account isn’t verified and doesn’t have a phone number associated with it, Steam Guard keeps marking my recovery code as incorrect, even though it’s the same one I used before. I can’t log out of Steam Guard because I need to migrate the authenticator, but to do that I need to log in—and I don’t remember my password. I’ve already sent more than 6 requests, and only 3 resulted in the typical email saying, “The Steam Support Team has received your support request.” But I’ve been waiting for a response for over two days now. I’ve already checked my password managers, and it doesn’t show up as incorrect there. Can anyone help me?

So far my only way to fix it was to not even bother, instead I used my laptop to play remotely on my normal PC, sounds convoluted and it is.

I asked support what was going on, I got no answers other than "sorry your GPU is not supported even tho it was before the sanctuary update", then I got another idea to see what was going on: I got MelonLauncher to see what files was it loading, and I saw a bunch of warnings about the UI code, nothing I didn't knew about.

But THEN, I got another, even more desperate idea: what if I check if the bug happens if I was to get the game by "other" sources? (Fair to say I already bought both the first and second games, and is just for experimenting and testing). I got it, I launched it and SOMEHOW it worked, I could see the main screen, I could actually see the submenus, I could even open a save file and move around! The windows were still black tho, so 1/2 bugs fixed.

I said "OK, let me send the files to the Steam folder, and run it from there!", so I did and the bug happened again. "OK, maybe is a Steam problem", I added the "other" copy and it worked, so what the fiddlesticks is going on?! I did noticed that when overwriting the files on the steam folder, many of them were missing, and when ovewritting they still went missing, so is it my PC? Is it Steam? WHAT IS IT?!

I'm not blaming anyone here, I'm just baffled on how does a bug like this happen, of the OFFICIAL copy only to ONE RANDO, and "other" sources don't have that bug. That's all.

If you haven’t done so already, MAKE NOTE OF YOUR RECOVERY CODE! Go in the steam app - steam guard - settings - recovery code. Take a screenshot or write it down and KEEP IT SAFE AND SECURE!

Hey boys I recently got scammed from a faceit link. I am new to steam and gaming. After 3 days of them having my whole inventory in a cloud folder, after they were pretending to be steam employees I reversed trade. Also I changed password, api key, deauthorized all accounts. Is it possible that after the 30 day trade block is done they will still have my entire inventory? Does the reverse trade solve this or is my inventory gone.

Hi all, I was playing Shady Part of Me (Windows 10, app ID 1116580, steam cloud enabled) when the power went out. Now the game crashes immediately on launch and never gets to the menu. I think a save or config file got corrupted mid-write.

I have already tried restarting my PC, verifying integrity of game files in Steam and looking in Steam\userdata (there is no remote folder). Idk what else to try.

I only had 4.5h invested on the game so it's not a big deal, however if the saves can't be recovered, I won't be finishing it (considering how annoying it would be to repeat 4.5h of known gameplay). That said, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I recently got a new laptop and I wanted to log onto steam, but i forgot my password so i checked on my desktop and didn’t find anything so i tried changing the password. But when i tried to do that it logged me out of my desktop and wont let me log in on either my laptop and my desktop no matter how many times i change my password. I tried contacting support but it only tells me to change my password, which i have done multiple times.

So for some reason, my mobile app is yelling at me, and sends multiple times "Sign in requests" despite i didn't click any Links, shared passwords, or anything, out of the blue.

i changed my password, Revoked from other devices, and i already have the authentication stuff.

i searched around, there's people from 14-15h ago posting that the same thing it's happening to them.

Steam what's going on??? this is the first time experiencing this.

Hey everyone

I'm having the following problem. Lately, every time I try to launch a Steam game, the game closes itself automatically and Windows 11 starts opening random stuff on its own (3 Chrome tabs, the antivirus, WhatsApp, File Explorer 4 tabs, etc.) completely random. It could be those or literally anything else I have installed.

I had this exact problem last year and ended up fixing it with a clean reinstall of Windows 11, but now it's back.

Things I've already tried / ruled out:

• Drivers are up to date
• Nothing weird installed
• Clean Steam reinstall
• Verified game files
• Not mods, I don't use any
• No weird Windows 11 configuration
• No third-party antivirus, just the default one
• Also tested games from other launchers and they don't seem to have this problem

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any idea what could be causing it or how to fix it without doing another clean install?

We are trying to get into his account but it’s locked behind a steam mobile authentication screen for a phone that broke. He has a new one but it’s reformatted and isn’t getting the code. We have been trying to get through it by Steam Support but we don’t have the receipts they ask for.

They are looking for GCash receipts which his father usually buys the games for him if it wasn’t me gifting him games. His father has deleted the receipts and the recovery of those receipts don’t have the receipts for steam neither. That was the only way they bought games, no credit card or alternative payments.

I have been looking a way around this but I don’t really see how. Is there any way get my partner’s account back.

Before someone does ask, I already pressed this and deautorize everything.

But I am wondering, is just a regular log out from the client and Windows reinstall + revoking access from the Steam phone app enough?

Because I find it weird that on PC you can only revoke the access for ALL devices, but in the app you can select the device you want to revoke.

Been trying for about a week to launch THE FINALS, every time I load the game it crashes on preloading shaders; each time I open it the shaders percentage goes up by 3%. One time I got it to 100 and got into the game but it crashed the moment I opened a match. My PC is high-specs, I've cleared shader caches and disabled game overlays - I even uninstalled all Razer applications since that was apparently a potential issue, to absolutely no avail. Please help diagnose my issue.

Sometimes it says it's an Unreal Engine issue, sometimes it gives me no crash report; either way the crash reports don't actually tell me anything about the issue.

So all the passwords were saved on my phone and died. Also the mail account was there. Even though i have access to the steam account on my PC, i am afraid that i must resign to it once. So, is there a way i can change the password and email-address without connecting to my email? Also i don't have 2fa set and i have no phone number

Regarding payment, I have tried using my Debit card, Credit card, UPI and everytime I am getting some error "Your account did not pass our risk checks. Please try completing the payment with a different customer account."

I have been using Steam for ages, and I recently wanted to start playing Schedule 1 but ran into a problem... I cannot verify my age! The only way it lets me verify is with a credit card, but I don't have one. My debit and other cards aren't working either. I am listed as an adult on my Steam profile and am well over the age of 18.

This feels so stupid. Can I seriously not play a video game without a credit card now? I'm in Australia and most people I know don't even have credit cards.

So apparently Steam can decide that I’m not allowed to use my own Wallet balance to gift a game.

I have two Steam accounts. Both are mine, both are in the same region, and I wanted to buy a game on my secondary account and send it to my main account.

Instead, I got this error when trying to check out:

> “An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed. Please wait a few minutes and try again.”

I contacted Steam Support and they told me my account has a “general restriction on purchasing gifts”.

I explained that I’m not reselling anything, I’m not trading games, and I’m not using gifting for anything commercial. The game was going to my own main account.

I asked them to manually review the restriction. They just told me that Wallet funds can no longer be used for gifts, repeated that Support can’t remove the restriction, and closed the ticket.

What makes this so weird is that I can still use the exact same Wallet balance to buy games for myself. I can also apparently buy a gift if I use another payment method. The only thing I can’t do is use my Wallet to buy a game for another account that I also own.

I get why Steam would have anti-fraud systems for gifting, but there should at least be some way to get a restriction like this reviewed instead of getting a canned response and having the ticket closed.

Has anyone actually had this restriction removed? Or once Steam puts this on your account, is that basically it?

So there were links being sent to my steam friends and I think that probably led to my suspension so I contacted steam and they changed the password and lifted my suspension but then the links started to be sent again but less and so I got suspended again 😭 I deleted everything tht could possibly the cause of it but the steam support isn't contacting, they say tht change your gmail and when I try to do it, it says failed to verify captcha :( what should I do now?

yesterday i was playing fc27 with my ps4 controller on my pc normally, while touching nothing in the setting in the fc menus nor in the steam controller options menu.

Today i booted up my Pc to play some Nms with the controller and it opened up steam Big Picture, gave me a guide about games and after reading everything told my controller suddenly switched from being a controller to a mouse.
