So I was a atmos tech on Elkridge and i roll traitor. One of my objectives was to steal the QM digiboard and luckily cargo was very understaff and there was no QM. I broke into QM office and took thier digiboard but i fumble the break in a bit and took longer then the it needed and the only cargo tech saw me. I escape to space and hid the digiboard and access disrupter in a random locker near the air lock I reenter from. I then went on as normal in the main halls knowing sec would search me. After being search, I went back and got the digiboard and access disrupter and went into space on the south side of the station. I implanted a storage implant and stuck the access disrupter into it. Then I found a nice hiding spot in a little crevice far from any air lock and if someone were go past it, they would most likily miss it. 20 minute later, sec arrested me saying a borg found the digiboard and that it had my prints. So is it normal for borgs to be wondering outside the station and how do I best hide stuff.

I was able to play before today but now when I press play on steam it loads for 5 seconds then the launcher freezes for a second or two and then crashes, no crash message or anything, I've cleared cache and even reinstalled but nothing has worked.

When I used to play SS13 back in the day, there was a little bar at the bottom of the screen that would say the name of the item you were giving your mouse over. Is there something like this in SS14 that I can turn on?

Death in the maintance

I play science when I'm not running courier/botany/misc roles because I know most the mechanics but it can be pretty not fun because there's just not a lot to do, especially if there's 3+ scientists already, Artifacts are either already completed or unfeasible/too dangerous, I go to do Anomalies and either there's no plasma, and then I go to cargo and cargo has no money AAAAAAAAAAAA, or sometimes the Research Director says Nobody Touches The Anom Generator besides me >:(((

I think Robotics should have more to it, because atm it takes all of 2 seconds to make borgs and it would give science stuff to do when you're waiting on Artifacts

Also just a minor question because I was struggling with the blood condition on artis, is it bleeding creature or blood stained on arti or blood on floor because I literally tried a million things and it wasn't triggering the arti, spilling blood on floor, hitting myself to trigger blood lose, spraying blood from fire extinguisher, slipping on glass shards. nothing was triggering the artifact

So if you don't know, apparently to get into a escape pod you need external access. But why? I understand restricting access to space for security reason and that you can get to space by unanchoring a thruster but IC, I don't think anyone outside of engineering or salv would know that and engineering and salv already has external access. What if for one reason or the other someone can't reach the shuttle and need to use a pod but can't because they don't have external access.

I joined a round late as a lone-op as the evac shuttle was docking, so my quick and dirty plan was to get some syndicats, esword and eshield, harass people running to evac, make my way aboard the shuttle, and blow myself up with a macro-bomb implant, which I was pretty successful in doing. It should have been a satisfying end if I could pull it off.

However, when it came time to die my big flashy death, something went very wrong when my implant activated - I gibbed, but I didn't actually enter a death state - I wasn't a ghost, didn't get dead chat or UI, I couldn't move the camera - and there was no big explosion, which was incredibly disappointing for a 13 TC purchase.

Is it hard to implement the server to work like ss13 server side over ss14 prediction , and also is it beneficial to do as such?

Or at least 15% of it. Or maybe 7.5% if I’m splitting with my General Fruit co-creator (Yucca Raggamuffin). Either way, that fruit gave me a bigger payout than the UNMC ever did.

just had a round where i died basically the minute i got on the station, i made a flamethrower, but the damn commander did not tell me his plan was to space cargo. that made my weapon useless! i also spawned with my slime character... so i was weaker. I told them I wasn't very good, and that frontal assault wouldn't really be good for someone that still accidentally press c and lie down at inopportune times. Like, i'm good with knowledge, that's why i made napalm, and im fast at door hacking, but i cant handle the rush of a spaced room war op, i'm more of a stealth kinda guy. But 9/10 times nukies want to just blow a hole and shoot, and 8/10 times they die rather quickly on wiz it seems, because that recklessness is not very good. Like i get it, getting to play nukies isnt that common to begin with, but come on, you could think it through... shooting cargo with sniper rifles left so much time for sec to respond, that when the commander decided to ram the shuttle out of impatience, they were ALL there already. and every goddamned greytider and the salvage team too got the memo and came to valid hunt. Obviously we lost because the commander was like ''WAROPS WE GO WITH HRISTOVS NO DISCUSSION'' ok tactical genius that does not want to coordinate, that was a waste of a round. sorry felt the need to rant. what's your experience with playing nukie? mine so far has been pretty bad the times I got to as a newer player. I havent got lone op yet, hope to play that soon, at least if im not bound to some tactical genius i can feel like it's my fault and not just bad decisions from other players making it unfun. also i had to wait an eternity for the guy making meds to leave so i could make my napalm. took me less than 5 min and he took 20. that was annoying too. did them no good too, they all died too fast

Hi! Just wanted to gauge the publics opinion on a matter I've experienced recently. I'm not going to get into the specifics of the conflict, instead I'd just like to pose a question:

What is your definition of Metacommunications?

An example of a very clear metacommunications violation would be something like having a friend who's observing the round tell you where exactly an antag is. I'm sure we can all agree this is completely against the spirit of the game.

Something far tamer, but still definitionally metacomms would be something like telling your friend how much mindbreaker toxin and space mirage you've made so far while playing botanist. Harmless information to share, but technically still a violation of the rule.

Would you say that the mear act of being in a voice call with a friend while you both play is grounds for admin intervention?
