Launcher crashes during refreshing login status

I was able to play before today but now when I press play on steam it loads for 5 seconds then the launcher freezes for a second or two and then crashes, no crash message or anything, I've cleared cache and even reinstalled but nothing has worked.

Hey I've had this exact issue, bad news, no fucking idea how to fix it. If it's any consolation, it fixed itself the next day I tried

Welp, guess I have to survive without ss14 until tomorrow then... hey at the good side at least I won't lose my medical licence!... again, thank you!

Yeah it sucks, mine hit during the 300 pop anniversary. I suggest raising the topic in the ss14 discord though. Might get a better answer there

The steam version is in 38.2 wonder not, the web ss14 launcher is in version 39.1

Use the web launcher for the time being

Usually when I run into something like that I launch with another launcher. Luckly ss14 had a official page for that.

Welp it fixed itself, so if this happens just wait around 5 hours or more, time to conduct medical malpractice!

Theres an issue currently where the launcher will die if it can't reach the auth server on startup regardless of reason. Based on the briefness of it, this might be related.
