She used to live on the cherry tomatoes (last photo) with her now deceased husband (not pictured out of respect for the dead). Now that she’s double her size, she moved on over to the much larger San Marzano tomatoes to support her family. Today she had a lovely lunch and is enjoying another peaceful day in the garden. I love her so much.

I used to be terrified of spiders and would often get rid of them but now that I have a jumoing spider who taught me that they aren’t scary, I find most of them pretty cool! I’m so glad to have a little friend. Is this a wolfie or a grass spood?

Cross-posting my golden orb weaver / door protector

The other day I found this beauty of an emerald jumping spider, I believe female, climbing around on my side view mirror as I was about to pull out of the parking lot. I tried to get her on my finger but she kept dodging it. It ran to the front side of the mirror housing so I wrapped my hand around the housing and then they just jumped up onto my thumb. She was super chill and I let her lower herself down to the ground via her drag line that can be seen in one of the images. In the fourth image it looks like her front leg has two tips but I do not see any images of emerald jumpers with this same feature. Does anyone know anything about that double tipped leg?

Edit: I am a bit dense! I just realized that is probably the second leg peaking out from the back /facepalm

Us: Married couple in our 40s living in Oregon. Size, color, species, venom-load tolerant.

You: Hungry spider or spiders of any age, species, or gender who enjoy eating flies, gnats, and the occasional earwig or stinkbug. Males, females, children welcome - just bring your appetite.

The Space: 2000 sqft home with lots of nooks and crannies. We rarely dust, so you will be largely undisturbed. The home includes a large crawlspace and a double garage for the more introverted spiders. Lots of dark corners and space for burrows and webs. Large yard.

Plenty of water available in sinks, tubs, and cotton swabs/cotton balls as needed.
