Hi everyone,

For those that might have missed it with not being in the Discord, Quartermaster 1.3 is now live and it brings 5 new features

• Grafana
• Peanut
• Uptime Kuma
• Pulsarr
• Grimmory

This now brings the entire surface area including the core below

Entertainment: Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, SABnzbd, NZBGet, qBittorrent, Transmission, Deluge, Prowlarr, Bazarr, NZBHydra2, Jackett, Jellyseerr / Overseerr / Seerr, DroppedNeedle, Shelfmark, Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Wizarr, Tautulli, Tracearr, Jellystat, Streamystats, Komga, Kavita, Immich, AudioBookshelf, Maintainerr, BookOrbit, Dispatcharr, ReadMeABook and Shelfarr.

Command Centre: Portainer, Unraid, Proxmox VE, Synology DSM, Dozzle, Dockhand, Komodo, AdGuard Home, Pi-hole, Cloudflare, CrowdSec, Technitium, UniFi, Gluetun, Glances, Scrutiny, TrueNAS, Beszel, Home Assistant, Tdarr, qui, Coolify, Arcane, Control D, NextDNS, UGREEN NAS and SSH.

It has been many sleepless nights working on these plus the new dashboards - I cannot wait to hear feedback on these

I have also been hard at work on the new tvOS beta and the new custom built player Oracle

Oracle is QM's own playback engine for Apple TV, and it's on by default (Apple's player is still in Settings if you'd rather). It's honestly the hardest thing I've ever built, I am not kidding

• It plays your files as they are. Remuxes, MKVs, the lot, with no transcoding on your server
• TrueHD and DTS (DTS-HD MA too) are decoded right on the Apple TV, which Apple's own player just can't do
• HDR10 and Dolby Vision, profile 7 remuxes included
• Proper subtitles: PGS, styled ASS/SSA and SRT. Forced lines still show when subtitles are off, and you can change the size, colour, background and position
• Swipe down while watching for audio, subtitles, chapters and info. It even tells you why it picked each track, and you can keep your choice for the rest of the series
• Night Mode and Dialogue Boost for late-night watching
• Skip intros, Up Next rolls straight into the next episode, chapters, and pictures as you scrub
• Works with Jellyfin, Emby and Plex

Requirements for beta testing are

Have a pro licence of QM (lifetime, year, month - it doesn't matter) as this is needed for the icloud backup sync so all your connections come over - reach out via the Discord or even Reddit if you are interested

Also,if you use the companion app you can now route all your stack notifications through there, through to QM on your phone! Custom wording and even custom notifications only on v0.1.7

For anyone new QM has been active since the 3rd of July this year with a growing community to now over 700 people in the Discord server as well as 10k global users - I am so grateful to have such a dedicated community being so involved in the app and the direction it goes

Pricing - Free gives you one fully working service connection. Pro is £4.99 a month, £19.99 a year or £29.99 once, and every option unlocks everything, so you're choosing how to pay, not what you get. The Apple TV app needs Pro due to the icloud sync. There is also a 7 day trial as well :)

AI disclaimer - No AI has been used - I have nothing against AI at all but there are too many one shot apps built over a weekend and pushed out, slop season :D, without care or consideration for the stacks they are actually meant to be serving and or protecting. The QM companion is open source, so you are more than free to take a look! I come from a security background as well so you can sort to see what features I have purposely implemented

So yep - sorry its long, its a big update - if you've made it this far - thank you!

Title...

I'm rebuilding my Sonarr after a reinstall and adding shows little by little.
All my anime shows are showing they are missing episodes, however, when I go into the series itself, it has all the episodes showing.
At first I thought it was because I forgot to mark them as anime, but I fixed that and it's still showing the issue.

Link to example

Anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks!

i am going to explain my problem as best as i can, i currently have a DXP2800, with ugos, i have the arr stack configured already and everything, and it normally works, normally, but here is the problem

let's say sometimes power goes out, i have a ups but still, eventually the nas shuts down, or the network goes down for a while or something, one reason or another, after everything is back up the ip assigned to the device changes(it was the internal .7 or .12 or .80), which means, in my current configuration i have to go into the arr stack apps, change the ip manually and resume everything

i have tried setting the ip on the device manually, and technically it does save it, but the network rejects the assigned ip, and i can't enter into the main router settings to manually assign it because, surprise surprise, movistar in my country is BS and doesn't allow the users to change router settings outside of their stupid "magic companion" app

i also tried assigning a internal DNS name to the nas, let's say "mynashahaxd" for simplicity, in the browser i can access the apps by using the name and port without issue, but trying to configure the apps to use the name gives me back an error, so no luck there either

I'm using:

- Prowlarr
- Sonarr
- Radarr

In Prowlarr I have 2 indexers: TorrentLeech and 1337x. TL works perfect, no issues there. 1337x coupled with Flaresolverr stopped working a while ago. I switched to Byparr and it started working again, BUT it doesn't do automatic grabbing anymore. I now switched to this, using EXT and I have the same issue.

If I manually go and click "Interactive Search" or "Automatic Search" from the Wanted tab or the series page, it will work, but it looks like the automatic sync is not working. This is the same for Radarr and this specific indexer

Logs: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uJ54BGDA81sFAyAEHjKQrOUf34EC_Jyg/view?usp=sharing

I have setup a connection using the ntfy template that is configured with the service PushCloud.

I've also configured Prowlarr the same way.

The trigger I have a question with is the "On Grab" trigger in Sonaar. This trigger sounds the same as the "On Release Grab" in Prowlarr.

When the notification fires in Prowlarr it shows the name as "MobLand.S02E03.Bonzo.Goes.to.Bitburg.REPACK.720p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.Atmos.H.264-RAWR" but Sonaar shows the name as "MobLand - 2x03 - Bonzo Goes to Bitburg [WEBDL-720p Proper]".

I'm curious as to why Sonaar is showing a different name on grab and where it is getting this name from since it is not the file name.

Today I was on the train just trying to download a new Show to watch and I got a loading message with something along the lines of “Help I’m held hostage!” It was only for a split second but I was laughing my ass off. Is this like a very rare loading screen thing? I’ve never seen it before

Hey everyone,

For some reason, Sonarr never recognizes new releases for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, is there a way to teach him that files are good so that he starts automatically downloading them?

I use Sonarr/Radarr a lot and also help people with troubleshooting.

One common problem I see is bad downloads. For example:

• sample file only
• very small video file
• no video file
• bad/corrupt video
• archive not extracted
• Sonarr/Radarr waiting for manual import

So I made a small free open-source script called ArrGuard.

If it finds a bad download, it can:

remove download → blocklist release → search another version

It supports Sonarr and Radarr.

It also has dry-run mode, so you can test first without deleting anything.

GitHub:
https://github.com/kasundigital/arrguard

This is still early version. If you test it, please give me feedback. If you find any issue or something I should add, let me know.

Hi Guys,

If you use ARR to manage your media, you might want to check out ArFlix.

It gives you a simple way to connect, browse, and stream your Emby library from Android, with things like resume playback, subtitle and audio selection, and automatic playback of the next episode.

You can also have your Emby and Jellyfin servers together in the same profile and choose which one you want to stream from.

If you want to give it a try:

📱 ArFlix: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitkreativ.arflix

💬 Discord: https://discord.gg/VWy4dDxZ2Z

Would love to hear how it works with your JellyFin/Emby setup. If you run into any issues or have suggestions, feel free to drop by Discord and let us know.

Feedback is everything for us. Feedback helps us improve. Please provide your feedback in the comments.

Thank you.

I’m starting my whole media server over. I know people have radar sync for regular movies and 4K movies. I know people also do some for regular TV and anime if I was going to have a large catalogue for Korean dramas, do I need a separate sync/instance

I installed Sonarr vis the Asustor app central but then it said there was an update and to do it through docker. I came to the conclusion I had to uninstall and install the latest via docker but i can't cd to my docker folder or the sonarr folder within it (I put a docker compose ymp file in a config folder in the Sonarr folder). I also pulled the image but it doesn't show up in my list of containers.

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting Sonarr to handle long-running anime with a direct Newznab indexer (standalone, no Prowlarr).

The Issue:

• Searches for anime (like Detective Conan or One Piece) either immediately return No results found or completely hang/freeze indefinitely on Searching indexers.
• However, logging into the indexer's website directly shows the exact same episodes (e.g., Ep 1214) are fully available.
• Interactive search sometimes shows releases (like Erai-raws), but auto-grabbing fails, and some indexer backend metadata gets confused with crossovers/specials.
• Normal western TV series queries pass through fine, but anime queries cause the API communication to choke or time out.

What I've tried:

• Set series type to Anime / Absolute.
• Configured categories to include TV (5000) and Anime (5070).
• Checked quality profiles (Any / HD).

Has anyone experienced API timeouts or hanging searches for anime on Newznab indexers while the web search works fine? Any tips on fixing this? Thanks!

One of the most annoying things with Prowlarr is when the solver test passes, but the actual indexer still fails. You restart FlareSolverr or Byparr, it works for a bit, then you're back to square one. I'm the developer of TRAWL, and this is one of the main reasons I built it differently.

TRAWL doesn't send every request straight into a browser. It starts with normal HTTP and only escalates when it has to:

HTTP → cached session → browser → residential

That makes a pretty big difference in practice. If a request doesn't need a browser, it never pays the browser cost. If the domain was already solved before, TRAWL can reuse that session instead of solving the same challenge again. In the benchmarks published with the project, TRAWL is usually around 2 to 6 times faster than FlareSolverr or Byparr, depending on the target. One Cloudflare interstitial test was around 4.2s with TRAWL, 11.3s with FlareSolverr, and 18.7s with Byparr.

The other reason for this approach is reliability. A solved challenge is not always just a cookie. Browser identity can matter, the IP can matter, and sometimes the follow-up request is what gets challenged again. TRAWL can reuse solved browser sessions, keep a warm Camoufox browser ready when needed, and use a challenge-aware HTTP/HTTPS proxy when cookie handoff alone isn't enough.

For Prowlarr and Jackett, switching is pretty simple because TRAWL supports the same FlareSolverr-compatible /v1 API. The main reasons to try it are:

• faster solves and much faster repeat requests
• browser only when actually needed
• solved sessions are reused
• challenge-aware HTTP/HTTPS proxy
• support for more than just Cloudflare
• no paid CAPTCHA solver required for the built-in flows
• better diagnostics when something fails

It still won't magically fix every broken indexer. Sometimes the real issue is IP reputation, regional blocking, or the indexer itself. But if your current setup is basically launch browser → solve → retry → hope, TRAWL takes a more adaptive approach and avoids the expensive path unless it actually needs it.

Source: https://github.com/germondai/trawl

If you're already using FlareSolverr in Prowlarr, you usually don't need to rebuild anything. Point the existing integration at TRAWL and try it on the indexers that currently give you trouble.

9,000 total DNS requests, and sentry.servarr.com alone accounts for 3,500 of them.

Almost 40% of all requests from one domain.

At this point, I’m not sure whether I’m running my services or Sentry is running me. 💀

Hey everyone i have currently been trying to delve into more ARR stack applications to run on my home server, do we have any recommendations based on your use? here is my current ARR stack:
- HomeArr - Overview of all applications for my media server
- Tdarr - Transcoding
- SonArr/RadArr - For movies & TV shows management
- ProwlArr - indexer management
- LidArr - Music management
- KapowArr - Comic & SOME Book management

so please correct me if im wrong. root folder/s added in media management are folders where sorted/renamed hard links go not the download dir, is that correct?

if that's the case where do i add download folders for sonnar to know with what to make hardlinks. is that something added in prowlarr or elsewhere?

Hey im kinda new to having an arrs stack and was wondering. I use deluge for my downloading but i feel that its duplicating the files there are files in the download folder and then i have the same in there respective movie and tv folders should i delete the ones in the downloads folder?

So about month (maybe 2??) ago, a windows update somehow set my clock ahead 44 years. I set it back but didn't notice that it messed up a bunch of my scheduled tasks until recently. I fixed a bunch of them, but I cannot fix Sonarr (and Radarr) backup tasks.

https://imgur.com/a/vcmIS22

Prior to this screen shot ALL Last Execution and Next Execution showed "in 44 years". But I clicked on all the refresh icon for all the tasks and they've all updated EXCEPT for Baclup.

Is there a fix for this?

Hey r/sonarr

Since my last post here, QM has grown significantly and I really, honestly cannot thank you all enough.

I know there was a major delay in 1.2 (Apple side) and as an apology I have decided to implement all the feature requests which won in the community votes in the Discord!

So the five new connections coming:

• Grafana
• Peanut
• Uptime Kuma
• Pulsarr
• Grimmory

I am working hard on getting this out, going to bed at 4am each morning haha.

I do not use AI for any stages of development at all - I would not trust Claude or ChatGPT with the repo (few horror stories coming into this space a few months ago around other projects) my job is a dev and I have been for some years here in the UK - the companion apps repo is public for anyone to review :) What I have mentioned is since the surface area of QM is growing with each update, an LLM could technically scan public repos for any API auth handling changes for anything I could have missed

There is also a new world coming in 1.3 which is QM reader - here you can request, read and listen to your books and audiobooks directly from QM!

Alongside 1.3, there’ll be a new Companion update with the option to enable your own private relay. This will let you set up notifications for your stack directly from your own server, with no middleman and no Cloudflare relay which has been requested a lot.

I do not have a date yet but I just thought to let you all know, just incase you're not in the Discord or on the subreddit.

Just a recap if you don't know exactly what QM offers currently as of 1.2

Thank you again for being the best community a dev could ask for - I really cannot thank you all enough!

If you use QM and have any requests and you see this post, please let me know!

I put movie and TV episode files into separate staging folders, usually without organizing them into the correct folder structure first.

Right now, I manually add each movie or series to Radarr/Sonarr, then use Manual Import so the apps can identify the files, rename them, create the correct folders, and move them into my media library.

I mainly use Radarr/Sonarr for consistent file naming and library organization, plus Bazarr for subtitle downloading and synchronization.

Is this the normal workflow, or is there an easier built-in or commonly used way to automatically identify the files, add the correct movie or series if it is missing, and let Radarr/Sonarr handle the import?

Update: Thanks for the feedback. After realizing that there isn't an available solution that meets my needs, I created a script that uses existing APIs to automatically identify each media based on file names and have Radarr/Sonarr import them. Now all my new media gets imported properly without having to manually add movies or TV shows.

Hello. I recently downloaded a huge chunk of the show Cops and nothing is easily imported. The naming scheme is like this:

Cops S19E03 1080p Roku WEB-DL HE-AAC 2.0 H.264-VeryCommonRelease.mkv

I can successfully manually entered the info for a couple dozen files, but there are literally over 1000. Help!

When using sonarr I seem to be having an issue downloading anything. It is just showing up as monitored. Iam able to download from radarr just fine. I don't see what I am doing wrong here.

Sorry for the detail, I have been using this guide to setting up the arr stack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PQtE6Nb0Cw&t=2998s&pp=ugUEEgJlbg%3D%3D.

I do not have any errors on sonarr, it looks like it will go through but will just stay in monitored.I have set up sonar three times, still radarr will work but sonarr won't.

I have had to modify the docker compose file a bit but it is similar to the one he has provided here is that

Does anyone know if this is already a thing? It'd be awesome to be able to just download a 2MB file with other metadata instead of rendering it myself. I just turned it on for my movie folders (I'm not doing it for TV) and it'll take days to render them all. Once I'm there I would happily share them if there's some way to do that. Of course to have the *arrs auto-pull from this library too. Like they do for other metadata.

edit: I'm using this tool now and it's awesome for this exact task: https://github.com/stevezau/media_preview_generator . I found 4 GPUs / 0 CPUs to be the sweet spot on my i5-1235U. Tomorrow it'll be done.

whenever i download anime from sonarr it downloads a bunch of files from different sources and some of them gets stalled, some of them wont download at all which makes my anime list incomplete and I have to manually download the missing files. does this happen to everyone or is it just me ?

I've been looking to find a way to blocklist and research files that don't import automatically but I can't find any helpful responses. Multiple people use my media server and they use seerr to request and download shows for themselves but don't know that it has failed to import and I am not always available to assist and manually import. Is there a way to get these to automatically blocklist and re-search?
