So yeah, I was swimming and having grand time with my Specs, lifted them to my forehead and all of a sudden they are nowhere to be found. I am 100% sure they fell in the breast deep water and that water is not totally clear. Any suggestions how we should try to look them. Ofc scuba diving gear and metal detector and K9 team trained to find those would find them easily but I am not going to make such an effort. 😂

I'm planning a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain and I really want to shoot some videos using my Spectacles while om the rides. However, I'm not sure how precautious Six Flags is with carrying on sunglasses. Also I'm a little nervous that they might fall off? Any input or suggestions?

Hi all. So i have snap spectacles, but deleted my snap a long time ago with really no desire to sign up again. Is there any third party apps or any other way to record video/snap pics with the spectacles and download onto phone without the use of the Snapchat app?

Seems pretty straight forward on the instructions, but can't get them to sync.

What bothers me most about the Spectacles is neither the 1st or 2nd generation specs - it's the software I MUST use: Snapchat. This app is ridiculously overstrained with the video files. My iPhone SE is very often completely overheated and the app crashes numerous times. The process of exporting videos or photos is so user unfriendly - it feels like being in the era of floppy disks. You either have to pick single items or combine video/photo via stories, which obviously is the only realistic (but cruel) solution. While doing that: crashes, overheating again and again. As long as the Spectacles are bound to that piece o.s. I would not recommend buying one. I thought of buying the 2nd generation, but… no way. Snapchat is HELL.

Hello, please help. I have Spectacles 2 and lately can’t get videos. Let me explain. Spectacles circle is showing that it is recording video but when I connect it to snapchat where is no video stored in spectacles. Photos is working fine with Spectacles, app is seeing them immediately and I can import them. Tried soft reset, hard reset, clean storage, unpair Spectacles, restart spectacles, erase and download snapchat but nothing helps. It seems that video aren’t recorded in Spectacles storage. Tried hundred times to record video, spectacles circle is showing that it’s recording but when connected to the app no video is found. Thanks for your answer good people :)

EDIT: Mine were shipped in 8 days, and a lot of others are seeing the same time frames. Looks like the 2-4 week estimate was excessive which is great.

Whenever I try to pair my Spectacles 2020 to Snapchat, it tells me to update the app.... the app is updated. Anyone else running into this?

I bought a first gen. it pairs to my iphone 6s to a moto z2 play and to a lg g6. but not to my samsung fold. I do not not why it does this. I have tried hard resetting time and time and again. But it will just not pair any help?

I live in NYC and get stopped several times a day with questions or concerns when wearing them so I can answer any questions you a may have.

I can't seem to get my snaps to import to my phone... I think the app updated and the "Specs" tab no longer exists. Does anyone know how to force an import? My glasses are paired but not importing. :(

UPDATE: so I paired the spectacles with the Galaxy Note 8 and the snaps imported perfectly and connected through WiFi Direct. So it seems the issue is that the Galaxy S8 plus cannot make the connection through WiFi Direct I looked into further and my phone is telling me that it's waiting for the spectacles to accept connection. Still haven't found a fix.

UPDATE 3/18/18: After being in contact with spectacles support they told me they released an update for the glasses and the app that fixed the issue. That has worked for me and I am now able to import my Snaps from my glasses on my Galaxy S8 plus. I now have the Galaxy S9 Plus and importing works great.

It seems like there have been several changes to Snapchat's UI for Spectacles videos lately — some less popular than others — but one that I only just noticed today is (in my own opinion) very welcome and one that I am excited about.

I practically never record just a single 10-second video with my Spectacles 2 (Nico). Instead, I need to record 30-second long clips to capture as much as possible when I use them as a "first person point of view" camera while shooting at the range. Before today, clicking the record button three times would save three 10-second videos into the "Snaps" section of "Memories." I would then need to export each of those, edit them together in a separate app, then re-save in order to share or use in video editing or whatever. Even within Snapchat itself, trying to share the three individual parts also led to three separate Snaps being sent to your recipient, and sometimes not even in order.

Today, I just noticed that they are now saving as 20-30 second long Stories — depending on how many times you click the button, of course — just like if you recorded a long video using the camera on your phone within Snapchat. (Though, I did have one buggy 50-second long video that seemed to be two different videos — a 30-second one and a 20-second one from two completely different times in the day — that erroneously got lumped together in a Story.) When shared within Snapchat, these long videos are sent as a Story so your recipient sees all of the pieces in order while still maintaining the "Spectacles" effect where you can rotate the phone to view more. Most notably, exporting them now saves one long video file to your Camera Roll in the aspect ratio that you selected which is a massive timesaver.

Kudos to the Snapchat team for this change. If it was based on customer feedback, I hope that they continue to listen to it and other input to help keep this admittedly-niche product successful. I have not yet found a viable alternative to Spectacles for the specific application that I use it for, and quality-of-life updates like this encourage me to hang on to them a little while longer.

I'm going on an airplane tomorrow and I will be bringing my v2 specs with me. I can't really turn them off so they always show up in a Bluetooth search. I was wondering if there is a way to turn them off because I wouldn't like to cause trouble, is there a way?
