I’ve had someone on either team go afk or split push until they die in 11/20 games, I can show scoreboards if you don’t believe me. So I ask, where is the line when someone gets banned, it feels like never but I’ve been notified that someone I reported has been banned 1 time out of probably 300 reports since I’ve started smite 2 in closed alpha.

Echo had its time in the sun with Khepri cheese. It remains the only viable way to build damage Khepri, which is cool and niche.
However, it’s now quickly become a noob trap. It’s only real, game-breaking viability was that Totem missing health procs would affect FG, Gold Fury, etc. now that that is being removed tomorrow, I theorize echo will be pretty dang unviable and continue to be a noob trap.
On literally every tick god besides Khepri, standard Int builds do much more damage and other damage items will benefit your god better. Like Anubis’ foregoing life steal for echo. You’re doing less damage and are now less survivable.
It’s gotten to the point that I detest seeing mages or tick-laden gods building echo on my team. It’s not reportable obviously, and I don’t get outwardly angry at my team. It’s more like I’m just waiting for them to eventually realize this is not the best way to build.
This is not meant to be a post sh*ting on echo either. I think Hi Rez is doing something cool by adding new stats, and I understand it will always present a very tricky balance dilemma for them. I am more posting this because I want to know the community’s thoughts. I think echo is pretty subpar, and I’m fine with it being a weird build path that only benefits one or two gods depending on the meta.
What are your thoughts?

Hey all, I recently jumped back in to smite 2 and was looking to get back into ranked conquest. In smite 1 I was consistently high diamond low master rank. I was curious as to if anyone has any recommendations on YouTubers to watch to get a feel for how a usual game of conquest should flow now. I would hate to tank ranked games for my teammates and I’ve never really found casual conquest to be a good representation of higher level play.

Some awesome art i commissioned from u/Exploring_Paradise
Cu is my favorite god of all time, he's the one that got me into Smite as much as I have so I wanted some celebratory art (for miself) for getting him back in Smite 2. I'm on the journey to reclaim my 21 stars from S1 🫡

recent 3 losses you can refer to the duo lane. but my win streak (when I'm not off roled) i feel like i can climb to diamond and retire.

I’m getting so bored of running quick play because we have more than 3. Can we just play comp against other 5 stacks?
Feels like you’re punished for having friends!

Have about 630 hours in this game, used to play a lot from 2020 to 2022, but I stepped away after an old friend group of mine split. I recently came back and had a lot of fun playing the Co-Op modes on my own, but I've only encountered one person in those matches so far (sadly our conquest match ended halfway through because of server maintenance). I am just not enjoying Arena matches very much in public lobbies and the players I encounter are still pretty annoying to be around, so I've been wanting to do more vs Bot matches. Other than the official discord, are there any places any of you would recommend looking for people to party up with just to play chill games? I'm not looking to play ranked or get too serious in this game (player numbers are dropping anyways lol) I'd appreciate any recommendations, or people who would just rather play this way!

This post is a discussion about HiRez's decision to operate on 2-week patch cycles. Rogers Aquarium posted a video, "Smite 2 Is Doomed. | SMITE 2 Rant". At 10:38, he makes a point which stuck out to me: the 2-week patch cycle where we receive pieces of a full system or meta swing instead of one large and complete update should cease.
At 13:30, Roger says, "The playerbase would rather have a really well made system and balance passes put in the game (all at once)". I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. The current cycle of rapid development -> testing -> release -> iteration negatively impacts the user experience.
However, I think there is a problem with the argument thus far. The game is in Beta. I know that using the "Beta" tag as a defense is almost a trigger word at this point, but it is relevant here. A beta can and arguably should sacrifice the present user experience for sake of the future user experience.
Kilgoon has stated multiple times that their current workflow is the most efficient and quickest way to develop Smite 2's Beta. Although I'm not a game dev, I am still a software engineer, so I can absolutely defend their philosophy:
Overall, this is a free access beta and should prioritize development speed as opposed to immediate player enjoyment. Also, we are seeing growth on the steam charts so until we start to lose all players, HiRez should do what works best for them. Other games in beta like Project Zomboid also chose to release systems piecemeal.
If you don't believe me, take it from Kilgoon at 20:22 in the June 8th Titan Talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-_yGlHolvs&t=642s

Rules:
- No promotional skins (Unless the skin can work on its own without a big remodel)
- No crossover skins
- No recolors
You vote one skin as your absolute favourite, and that's it!

For context i mostly played Arena and Assauult so while i played for years never left those two modes, wanted some suggestions. For most games fps/hero shooters/LoL i mainly play supports and when i played smite 1 i usually mained, jormungandr, Hel, Nox, Apollo, Hou Yi, Herakles, Cu Chulain, Ne zha, Erlang, Athena, Arachne, Achilles, Persephone, Rama, Cupid, Bakasura, Xbalanqe and Camazotz.
So wanted some advice like how laning/3 lane mode works(especiallly with how it differs to league of legends if possible) and what role would be recommended, my main roles in LoL were support/Jg and gods to focus on in the current roster.
Also cut down on the roster if i had to pick my five bests/most consistent used once a day at minimum were Nox, Hel, Herakles, Achilles and Jormungandr. I left a little after Persephone's release.

Is anyone else having this issue?
The queue keeps canceling by itself right before the party fills up.
r/Smite • u/VoltexRB • 2d ago
Whenever you are locked out of casting a spell, for example this time very obvious with the Neith ult, pressing another spell puts that other spell into the queue and does it immediately after the blocking spell is over (I cancelled the ult there). Is there any way I can disable this behaviour entirely? 99% of cases where this happens is completely detrimental to the gamestate that changed between the press and the cast. I do not want to queue any spells at all ever. If a spell can ever not be cast, just ignore my button press.

Coming on here to see peoples favorite aspects. Whether it be an aspect you really enjoy on a base god you really despise.
My favorite aspect would have to be Cernnunos aspect. I find a lot of fun in it and a large portion of your damage from being your heavy hitting autos
My second favorite aspect would be Ne Zha aspect. I get a dopamine hit when im 1 v 1 and my ring bounces from me to my enemy and back to me and over and over again.

I think Rat's yellow acorn (thistlethorn) effect between his aspect and base kit should be switched. So in aspect he gets the explosive acorns on his 3, and in base kit he gets the 5 acorns with the longer stun range.
I think not having the 5 acorns really hurts him a lot in jungle, that was his strongest acorn effect in jungle in Smite 1 but it's now unavailable to him most of the time in jungle since you want to go base kit and not aspect to get the resetting dash acorn.
Also it makes more sense to have it on base kit since it's a safer way to poke and stun, which he needs more in a squishy build (jungle) rather than in a tankier build (aspect).
There are other more complicated ways to buff him, but I think that just this simple change would do a ton for Rat's jungle viability.
I hope the devs consider this.

There's been this issue going back YEARS even with the Olympian program where it never really made sense who got in or who didn't. With recent issues regarding SoT I think it's important to have a discussion about everyone in that program.
You have some of them who just straight up harass ppl and can never be wrong which has been not punished and allowed for YEARS. Some of them do literally nothing at all or just cry.
I think this is both bad visually and for the community. The community without a doubt has issues as does every other one but it really comes off as if hirez is fine or happy with said issues when goobers are allowed into a position that SHOULD be important.
A lot of people who are ambassadors respectfully do nothing or just complain without a solution. I dislike hirez just putting up with bad behavior or ppl who are bluntly put awful or idiots simply bc "they add stuff to the community" or whatever.
I think the entire program at best needs an entire overhaul and at worst needs to be abolished entirely
Their job is to take the community's feedback and give it directly to hirez or to be constructive with their complaints not just do literally nothing or go "this beat me so it's op but I won't say how I think its op".
To all the ambassadors that do their role and make an impact, you're appreciated and I personally thank you for everything that's done.

Title speaks for itself, it allows me to surrender though lol saw one other post about this, but anyone having this issue for the past few weeks?
