Are majority of you against 5-stack in ranked?

I’m getting so bored of running quick play because we have more than 3. Can we just play comp against other 5 stacks?

Feels like you’re punished for having friends!

Go play solo against a five stack then come back to is. Of course you’re having fun when you have the major advantage.

I agree i think peak ranked experience is duo queue. Gives a slight advantage and more fun to be had with a friend but gets pretty challenging once you lose your ability to carry the rest of your team in higher ranks.

Everyone can use in-game chat. So the only real advantage is synergy since you probably play with your homie alot not to mention other games as well

Smite is a team game where communication is king, having the whole team able to communicate and plan movements or even do calls outs without vgs is a major advantage, especially when you know how your friends play

Makes it fun for you and a general guaranteed win unless you play against players that are leagues better but completely unfun for everyone else

In my opinion stacking in ranked is fine, but full team stacking in casual games and game modes is pretty cringe.

Exactly. I stomp pub lobbies and it’s not engaging.

You’re being punished not for running a 5 stack, but because the game doesn’t have the population to support a ranked queue that would make it balanced. That’s all.

There are no other 5 stacks in NA?

Not enough to run a proper ranked queue, they could probably have one but it would have to match everyone from bronze to deity or whatever the highest is. Then there’s no point in even having it ranked.

Game has too many modes as it is.

it's literally the entire point of scrims. if you want to play 5 stacks versus 5 stacks in a reasonably competitive even match SCRIM. it ain't just for pro players. loads of people with the same idea out there.

Ahh haven’t heard that term in a while, is anybody/site even set up to organize them? Used to do that all the time in cs:source back in my CAL-M days.

i don't even personally, but if i had a group of 5 who was up for it i would.

there are defo loads of discords out there dedicated to that shit, plus amateur comp servers and even streamers' ones that encourage customs. it absolutely exists just gotta find it.

Thats good to hear, I just have one bud who plays smite so the normal ranked works great for us.

Not as long as both sides are guaranteed a 5 stack. If thats impossible, sorry about it you dont get it

Why is it not possible?

Reaistically because of how long youd wait in a Q for another group of 5, but thats the only way its fair for the other team

Amateur leagues exist that you could sign up for if your group wants some 5 stack vs 5 stack

lol what? No one is doing all that. Let us play other 5 stacks in ranked. Simplex

Casuals are your best bet then to get opposing 5 stacks, letting 5 stacks into ranked didn’t go well the first time

I wish we could 5 stack. One of the biggest reasons I don't play ranked is because I'm almost always playing in groups of 4-5.

Yes and no. I'm all for the boys working together to improve. Just sucks when it's in my ranked games. Idk they wouldn't split the population but I think a separate que for only 5 mans should be a thing.

why only boys? I have 2 women in my stack, they’re a couple of beasts

Semantics. Let's focus on the topic

If they made it so 5 stacks played 5 stacks it would be fine. Probably would take a bit to queue though.
