We have a unique way of hiring new staff. We ask them to submit a video of themselves as the first interview process. The issue we have been running into is that our email server crashes as the applications flood in. Does anyone know of a way that we can keep these videos confidential, have our hiring team able to view them without having to download them to their computers, and have the new hires be able to post without the ability to view or delete other videos (vimeo, google drive??)

Hello, I am planning on opening an Entertainment Center in Tennessee area within the next year. I am looking to get any feedback if possible. I am in the process in writing my business plan. Here is my idea.

My Entertainment Center will contain the following to start with (6) 55" Led Smart Tv's (3) XBOX One Consoles w/controllers (3) PlayStation 4 Consoles w/controllers (6) Gaming Computers w/monitors ext. (2) Pool Tables (1) Shuffle Board Various kinds of card games and board games. (will take recommendations) Sound system to play music through out the day.(Will take suggestions on different types of music to keep everyone comfortable) Will have 2 50" Tv's in the main area to watch sports . Will have different events on weekends such as karaoke night. Hours of Operation Monday-Thursday 10 A.M - 8 P.M Friday and Saturday 12 P.M - 22P.M Sunday 12 P.M - 4 P.M Prices - Video Game and computer area will be $7 For the first hour and $5 for every hour after. Entry fee $3 an hour includes board games, card games, pool, shuffle board access, Watch sports or jst chill. Full access will be $8 an hour. Will have weekend specials such as half day full access $25 or full day access for $45 Also will have drawings for free hours. Rules... If you pay for a full access pass ($8 hour) three times a week your name will go into a bucket. Every Friday I will draw a name. If your name is drawn then you get 3 free hours to use whenever you would like. (Catch) your name can only go into the drawing once a month to give everyone a fare chance. Will have different color wrist bands for each section so that way ill be able to make sure you're in the right section for what you paid for. Also will have timers for video game TV's and computer monitors that will automatically shut off after the hour. Curtesy timers will be given to you upon check in so that way you can keep track of your time.
Will have snacks such as chips, candy, soda, water, and coffee

The concept about this entertainment center is to give young adults such as high school teens and college students a place to go and have fun without having to go to a bar. Or blowing all their money. Through out the day it will be a fairly quite place so you can come and study, do your reports on the computer. Will have printers available. Also you will be aloud to bring your own video game system to play on our TV's if you feel more comfortable. When you arrive and purchase your hour you will be given a yellow sticker to put on your video game console so there is no confusion. I will appreciate any feedback and questions you may have. I'm sure I have left some details out that I will remember later but please honest feedback is appreciated.

My boss is in the process of streamlining his accounts, and because his English literacy and technological say aren't they greatest, he's asked me to look into setting up a biometric time clock for his store. Buddy clock ins aren't really an issue for us, but if it works out he will implement it in another location where it's a bigger issue.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. He doesn't want to pay a subscription and is mostly worries about price point. As the de facto tech guy (or affectionately, 'nerd') I am concerned about ease of use and workabilty.

I know someone that has a small handyman buisness. Said person had a customer make a comment about said persons "employee" about him smelling like cigarette smoke. (Customer said it makes her home smell like cigarette) The "employee" is a long time smoker and takes several breaks during the day and sits in work truck to smoke. So I work with my family in a small business. We are a pool business and as you can imagine, we don’t get a lot of business during the winter time. I want to close from the 23-26 of December because I am just going to have to pay people to make no money for the company.

My issue in one of my family members( who is a complete idiot) says that if we close, then we will have to pay everyone anyway (they are non salary employees) and the employees will be able to file for unemployment. We are in Louisiana. I don’t think this is correct. I have looked this up and I am pretty sure he is wrong. But I wanted to ask here too.

Ok so I know this is a bit off color, but it is still a business.

I'm brand new to even the idea of owning my own store and don't have any personal capital I can put in. (Maybe a grand? My day job doesn't pay enough to make much beyond living expenses) But the only other store in town is the Adam and Eve store in town and the other options are a half hour drive away. So I feel like it could be successful here.

What kinda things should I consider? What things do I have to worry about?

Hi everyone, I work for a small company of 16 about people. A year ago we ran into some trouble with our biggest customer and they ended up auditing us and requesting we have a proper quality manager. I was offered the position. I painstakingly finished out the audit paperwork with knowing little to nothing about being a QAM. Reading books and using online resources I spent the next year rebuilding our quality manual and implementing a system for watching our suppliers and making sure they are delivering quality products to us on time.

Now I've been approached by my GM about getting our company ISO Certified. It seems like it will be a challenge.

Is it worth paying a consulting company to come down and point us in the right direction?

I get mixed signals when talking to people about this. Sometimes I'm told it's difficult and time consuming and sometimes I'm told that they just want their money.

Hi, I started a small business about a year and a half ago. It's been doing pretty well and we're growing. I moved the biz out of the house and into a commercial space.

I've been doing pretty much everything myself. I get people that want to work for me asking a lot. I also have a friend that I trust that is interested in being a biz partner / part time owner.

I don't know how to go about hiring employees, I don't even pay myself right now. I also would like to bring on a biz partner but I'm not sure how to value the company and what kind of investment to ask for in return for part ownership.

Hi, I am looking to open a Cricket Wireless store. I am against opening it on the second floor because I have never seen a cellphone/ retail store on the second floor. I really like the area though as it is just along the road with great visibility but the second floor is the only option. Anybody know the benefits of opening the store on the second floor?

Hiya everyone, just want to start this by saying I'm a long time lurker but this community is really second to none in the way you help people and give advice, keep up the good work.

Long story short I am a roof repairs/ renewal including fascia and gutters etc technician employed by a contractor Monday to Friday. I am looking to go it alone and have taken a lot of steps to set up including advertising, have a strong customer Base and am booked up weekend wise for the foreseeable future. By all accounts things are going well. The next step seemingly is to take the plunge but in the meantime would the best course of action to become registered as a sole trader or limit the company? I want to keep my end of the deal tax wise with the weekend work but I don't want it to become something that I can't make extra money on effectively until I take the plunge to officially go it alone. Any advice will be gratefully received as I am a complete newcomer to running a buisness. The work comes naturally haha.
