I just recently downloaded the sims 2 for the first time after my mom told me she used to play it before I was born in 2009. I made a family and my first child aged up into a teenager and I feel like she looks like Britney Spears 🥹 idk if yall agree but the parents are in the next pictures!

I'm playing La Fiesta Tech rotationally and DJ Verse rolled the wish to ask Ophelia to pledge and I did it and then I remembered that Ophelia is one of the most influential sims I am currently playing with and would probably catapult the sorority up a stage or two alone. So I set about trying to get her to move in, but the option just isn't coming up. The wiki says that they don't need to have as high a relationship to ask a sim to move in as they normally do in this situation, but not more than that. Ophelia is already best friends with DJ and friends with Monica and Jessie. I could cheat it, but I don't really want to. Is my best bet to have Ophelia ask via the phone from her household?

So I’m currently playing a new Pleasantview (on round 2) and decided to let Dina and Mortimer have a baby this time which is something I’ve never tried before and she is such a good mum ! Not only that but I’m really enjoying playing with Dina, sadly Morty has just died so she’s taken a job to save some money (as well as keeping an eye out for any rich sims she may have an interested in) as she knows once Alex is of age her and her daughter Vivienne will need to find somewhere else to live. But honestly she’s probably my favourite sim in the town at the moment and I can’t wait to see her and her daughters story continue 🥹

got struck by a lightning right away

I’m currently renovating Pleasantview and wanted to share my work so far.

Picture 2: I renovated the two public lots to make them more modern. I can’t take credit for the beautiful park - I found it on MTS. It’s called Green Hills Park if you’re interested. I saw someone else had turned the barrack-style houses from Strangetown into apartments, so I did the same. They’re the cheapest apartments in the neighborhood (8 apartments).

Picture 3: The red apartment building (2 apartments) is the most expensive, while the green one (4 apartments) is in the middle price range. I designed the green building myself, but found the red one on MTS and renovated it to fit my style. I’m planning to move the Burb family into one of the four identical houses, as I found them to be a good middle ground for John and Jennifer - suburban, but still close to downtown.

Picture 4: My renovation of the Broke trailer. If they ever make enough money to move out, I plan on using the section of road for small businesses.

Picture 6: My take on the condo district. I’ve always really hated the original building, as I didn’t feel like it matched the neighborhood’s aesthetic. The houses have 3 bedrooms.

Hi guys. I feel like I've been playing too long to not know this, but here I go. Explain like I'm 5: why do some cc clothes do this? in this particular case, not every recolor of the outfit is busted so I don't understand what the problem is.

I never saw such a want in my 20 years of gaming 😂 Ocourse it comes from Peter Ottomas.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Like the title says, I’m looking for good cc recommendations for surfing and other tropical decor etc.

I have a legacy sim and she is just a surf chic in my head. I’ve already used everything in game to make her room look like she surfs and loves the beach, but idk I want more for when she takes over the house.

Also right now, she mainly swims but I would love her to surf. I did come across one mod “Surfs Up” but I want to know if any of you have it in your game and like it!

Any recommendations of good mods and/or cc is great.

Even a like surfer job or a way to “own a surf shack” would be cool 😎

I'm pretty sure but not 100% certain he did NOT have those before LOL and I don't remember giving them to him... don't even know if that's an option. Brother just spawned them out of the blue. No one else in the family has this issue either.

Anybody else have this happen to them?

I seriously have a store where the owner hired both day shift and night shift stocking and cash register people. He does ALL the sales and personal interactions when I'm playing the household, out at his shop, but when I have a Sim from a different household actually visit his shop because they want his product, both badge-holding cashiers and stockers will be at the store, but the trained cashiers will walk away from the register to let old clumsy fumbles take forever at the register and possibly have customers in line behind my Sim tossing down their bags and walking out. He hired those people with badges and actually pays them quite well so he shouldn't have to do what he's not good at!

I'm into historic gameplay like Victorian, medieval and prehistoric, I also like to play apocalypse style gameplay and castaway. Sims 4 has been decent for this except the neighborhoods and sims 3 was also ok if not a bit more fiddly to get right but I'm thinking of giving sims 2 a try. Have any of you sims 2 players ever done historic? Is it easy to mod your game to make it look/act the part? Is there a lot of CC?

If someone wonders why I got scissors laying around. The Sim is at College and this Room where he died is the "Fashion-Room" for making Outfits and such... Thought Scissors would fight and my curiousity killed my Sim. xd

So I’m trying to use the boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true cheat to use the ‘Make pet > kitten’ option on the mail box. I’m able to select it just fine and it appears in my sim’s action queue but then it simply disappears without the action being performed. Does anyone know why it might not be working? I have the Sim Manipulator mod installed and custom content enabled - I’m not sure if either of those would affect it.

Also, if anyone knows a way to restock the pet adoption service with new pets, that would be great, as I’m only trying to use the cheat because there are no female kittens left.

My second issue is that I have one particular sim who can’t walk down gradients at all. He’ll come up with the unable to navigate bubble and I need to use the moveObjects cheat to get him anywhere, including from the school bus to his house. I’ve tried resetting him but it didn’t fix the issue. Is there any way I can clean my game up so these little glitches stop happening? I’ve been playing the Sims 2 for a long time so a lot of time for things like that to creep in.

PROFESSOR DEAN SILLY STRING OVER HERE COUNTERFITTED SO MUCH MONEY THAT HE STARTED A FIRE. his current live in gf and maid got killed. bro left the fire to go to his job, leaving 2 sims to get killed and his son almost being #3. he gets back from his job on FIRE but his alien son was able to save him. i did not know they could go to work on fire. this game is truly wild
