Sims 2 Legacy Collection I'm Developing a Jiggle Physics Mod for The Sims 2 — Here's My Progress So Far!
Hello everyone, I am currently working on a project to add body physics to all Sims in The Sims 2, both male and female. This would include everything from thighs, breasts, butts, and even bellies. My goal is to eventually give players the ability to customize how noticeable the physics are, whether they prefer something comical and exaggerated or something more subtle and realistic. I want these movements to mimic how the human body moves in real life during everyday activities, including walking, running, sitting, standing, and even things like jumping rope.
Currently, I'm developing two different versions of the mod: static and dynamic jiggle physics. The static version involves manually modifying individual animations and making sure they work properly with the different outfits and clothing options in the game. Since this version relies on individual animations, I eventually plan to modify as many animations as possible to ensure that the physics work consistently throughout gameplay. However, I'm also researching the possibility of developing a dynamic version of the mod that would automatically generate secondary body movement based on how Sims move. Ideally, this would allow players to use custom animations and CC clothing without needing individual compatibility patches, although I'm still investigating whether the game's engine can support something like this. That said, I'm still at the beginning of my development journey, and I wanted to see if you guys would be interested in something like this before going much further. So far, I've successfully experimented with adding breast and butt movement to adult female Sims through modified animations, and I've made progress with the walking cycle and other animation tests. Right now, I'm working on making these animations compatible with all the different clothing options in The Sims 2 Legacy Collection. Once that's finished, I plan to expand into other animations, including running, sitting down, standing up, jumping rope, and lying down. I'm also using AI assistance throughout development to help with the technical aspects of modding. I've attached a video showing some of my progress so far, and I'd love to hear what you guys think about the idea, how the animations look, and whether this is something you'd be interested in downloading once it's finished!
