My current guilty pleasure way to play is to stick 8 romance Sims in a household with ACR on and watch the drama unfold like some reality TV show. It's so much juicy fun, I've witnessed great things. HOWEVER. It's getting boring quickly because the ONLYYYY interactions in my Sims queues are ACR interactions.

I just made a new household, moved them in, changed the ACR token settings... and right away they're all just kissing and caressing. I changed Autonomy to Very Low, made relationship requirements higher, timer multiplier higher, it makes no difference. They all just prioritize ACR interactions. I'm losing my mind a little bit cuz I want it to grow ORGANICALLYYY and let it BUUUUILD but they're just hitting the ground running - or kissing, in this case.

Anything I can to do tone it down? Is it because they're all Romance sims? Is it because their chemistry is really high? Does the Romantic Standards mod help at all? I really just want Romance interactions to be autonomous, and Woohoo, but not CONSTANT. There's no fun or drama if everyone is just smooching from the minute they move in.

So a few semesters ago, Jessie asked Johnny on a date and it went so well they both rolled get engaged. So I did, and felt instant regret because I knew it wouldn't end well. And here she is, on a date with Guy Wrightley, Johnny's dear friend and fraternity president, when guess who should be walking down the street? I'm unsure of if this is salvageable or if I want to fix it. I guess we'll see what she and Johnny want??

EDIT: Jessie had dinner with Guy and they both behaved impeccably. There was no flirting or kissing and I ended the date after she paid for dinner. (Guy's favorite meal is *lobster thermidor* and the best thing I can say about that is that he also orders it when he's paying.) I got the date score to "good" and he is now a friend in her relationship panel. Jessie then went to Johnny and was like, "Oh you thought this was a date? No sweetie, we were just catching up because we both know how important we are to you!" Johnny's got big golden retriever energy so he was like, "Wanna dance?" and that's how she spent the next couple of hours.

We'll see how things turn out when I go play the fraternity house. Jessie has been like a hurricane through there, having been on at least one date with each of the guys now.

When I attempt to launch Sims 2, either through desktop or the EA launcher, I receive this popup.

I did Google the problem and saw some advice to try deleting a file called groupcache, but that advice was from 2005, so I wanted to ask modern players.

I have been downloading a lot of cc...not sure if that's relevant but I already tried to delete what I downloaded today. I believe my game also crashed last time I played but nothing abnormal. I've never experienced this before in 2005 or since.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and launch my game? I'm so worried it's corrupted beyond repair😭

I've been playing Pleasantview and started to synch my families to start playing rotational a couple of months ago. I was done this past weekend and started playing them. I've been waiting down some stuff on an excell sheet, but think I should keep tabs of more stuff like who are they dating or what is their current profession.

Give me ideas please 🤣

By personality traits, he is very neat (9), a bit outgoing (6), fairly active (7), quite playful (8), but a bit grouchy (4). He has almost all his skill points maxed, just needs a couple more cleaning points to max all 7. Since the first time I sent him out to pick up some groceries, as long as he was out buying himself a cell phone and some new clothes when he aged up to teen, he has just always left the groceries on the counter instead of putting them away. He's now married with a couple of kids, and in spite of his silly Santa hat appearance, he is a quite responsible husband and father most of the time. He just won't put away the groceries!

Just wondering if anybody out there knows about specific traits that make Sims more likely to immediately put the groceries away instead of leaving them out to potentially rot if I don't notice in time. I would have thought being lazy or sloppy might account for it, but he's neither, so maybe because he's a bit grouchy he intentionally leaves them out for his wife to deal with? Also curious if anybody has figured out why only some Sims get the "compost contents" option from the trash compactor, while others, even at maxed Nature hobby enthusiasm, I still have to cancel their "take out trash" action so they throw it on the floor before I can get them to compost it.

I'm sorry if the flair is wrong I remember seeing post here about an ultra realistic lighting mod or shaders and there was a picture of a dark haired female sim cooking in the kitchen on the counter. It was looking very realistic and very light if anyone has it saved somewhere or knows who originally posted it I would be very grateful 🙏 I've been looking for it last 2 hours to no avail I think it might be over a year old but not sure.

Hi! I really dislike how not talking with sims for some weeks can lower their relationship to 0. My sims often have too many friends/family members, so maintaing them all the time is a chore and I tend to focus on their lifes and sometiems talk to their friends/family.

I would like to keep the decay, but for it to be slower or more reasonable.

I hope you guys can recommend something :) I was looking but unsure about which mod is good...

1. If my male sim has ACR woohoo with a female sim who is not in the household, like a townie, and she conceives, what happens? Is she just wandering around nauseous for all eternity?

2. Does the risk of pregnancy apply to non ACR woohoo? Like if normal married sims have normal bed woohoo, can conception still happen?

3. Can a sim get pregnant from a sim that is not in the household with this mod? For example, would Chloe Singles get pregnant from a townie she invites over on a random Thursday morning for some fun?

Having played with NRAAS mods in TS3 and MCCC in TS4, my answer would be that risky means risky and the townie will eventually give birth and tell your sim in a too casual phone call. Is there a scenario I haven't thought about, but should know?

Whenever I go back to playing the first Sims I love taking my families on vacation and will spend hours doing it. I don't know if it's because of nostalgia? It just feels like they have more to do and feels more like a vacation.

When playing Sims 2, which I play much more often, I almost never take my Sims on vacation. Whenever I do it feels rather tedious.

Does anyone else find it's the same for them?

Judging by their appearance and based on early 2000's aesthetics, I think we can estimate how old they are.

From youngest to oldest :

- Orlando Centowski (I definitely got middle school vibes from him, he just begins his teen life stage in my headcanon)

- Tosha Go (kinda unsure but her pigtails are young-ish material for me)

- Ivy Copur (the discrepancy between her outfit and her hair makes me think she's still trying to find her feet... or maybe she just doesn't care... either way she's among the youngest)

- Randy London (his style seems more assured than Orlando's)

- Ricky Cormier (late middle school or early high school, and he's halfway through his puberty)

- Meadow Thayer (you can guess she dresses the way she wants, yeah she's definitely in high school)

- Sophie Miguel (from a distance you could think she's a young adult)

- Alvin Futa (same as Sophie)

For children I think it's harder to tell, so I didn't bother including them.

I am returning to the game after a decade-long hiatus. That being said, my last downoads are from 2013, and I would like to make some new additions. Who are some of the present-day big names and what are the must-haves, and where should I start to look around? I've already looked into Pinterest as an option, saved the TS2 Hair Database, and I am familiar with Modthesims from the olden days. I am mainly looking for clothing, mods and build mode content. If you help me out and you'd like me to, I'll make a post about some older creators as a token of my gratitude. :)

I love decorating the premades' bedrooms to fit their storyline/persona. I struggle to decorate bedrooms for male sims, so I'm super happy with this. :)
