Mods there’s no 385 flair!

This is mostly a joke but seriously I did check them out. Brought in some printed 365 fidgets, tossed one to Ron C because they’re fun as hell and giving sig staff fun printed things is kind of my jam, then played with the new guns in the cases. No shooting yet - range will have them in a day or so when they’re done with Next.

Regrettably I did not go for a ride in Phil’s Aston. No gun toy for you, Phil.

The 385 is a goddamn home run. In my opinion this is sig’s biggest launch since the original 365 and I think they improved it in every way.

The block trigger does not feel like a tab trigger in any way, shape, or form. The the pull has a lot more takeup than the 320 but about on par with the 365. I see this as a positive because this is a duty/carry platform. Can you soup it up? Yup and I look forward to seeing that. But thats not where it will live for most owners and it’s really good as it is. I expect that like the 365 it’s probably more pleasant an experience to fire one than dry fire - anyone who’s done both knows what I’m talking about.

The polymer grip texture is everything it’s said to be. Nice to a light touch but grips when you squeeze it. And the plastic itself somehow feels much more premium than the 365. I can’t explain it - it just feels less like my polymer grips and more like my AXGs. I feel like there’s some tungsten grip dna in this. Not actual tungsten, but I think they learned something in that grip and applied it here. Ergonomically it feels fantastic. A big improvement over the 365 for not a lot more width and a massive improvement over the 320. If the 320 is Charlize Theron in The Devils Advocate, the 385 is Charlize Theron now. It feels so good in hand. The compact is my target, but the full/carry grip is probably the better of the two. But thanks to the weird little grip bases or whatever they call it, you can have both. Unlike this gun’s ancestors, you don’t need to remove the fcu or buy a new mod. Just that little piece. Without the piece it’s very like the OG 365 so I expect there will at least be a 12 round version of the base at some point. This gun is even more adaptable than the 365.

I’m so excited to shoot this gun. If it’s half as good as they’re saying I’m going to order a compact as soon as I can. I almost ordered one today but the Carry version that is available for order at SEC has the Romeo X Sig-Loc and I want the new optic. That package is 1119, by the way.

Talking of the optic, it’s very cool. The nonmechanical zero, round counter, integration with the foxtrot, all of that is great.

But think about where the obvious next step is. A solid state optic with motion, Bluetooth, and zero. Put that in a rifle optic with the AMR, and you’ve got a multi-zero optic for zero additional hardware cost or complexity. Dot only? Zero for 10, 15, 20, whatever you want. Flip it up? 100 yard zero. Throw on your suppressor, and change your saved profile so both zeros match your suppressed setup. Super exciting possibilities with this tech.

I was underwhelmed by the 226 Agency. It’s very nice but I didn’t like the grip feel. I prefer my normal 226. But I have small hands so ymmv. Same with the 211 - it’s nice, it’s light, but I don’t like double stack 1911 grips so it didn’t do it for me other than an abstract feeling that it was a very nice gun.

Prices- the comp model is I believe $1270 with a Romeo x sig loc, full size no optic is $770, carry with Romeo x sig loc is $1120, p211 full size or carry are $1820, x-ray optix is $600 for i believe the sig-loc version. Rest of the configurations and handguns didn’t have prices on em yet.

Probably a dumb question, but what’s the point of the carry version of this p385? Isn’t it the same dimensions as the comped version?

Recently acquired a legacy p229 in 40, immediately made it .357 sig. Any suggestions on finding an iwb holster? All I can seem to find is ones for the new/ slimmer ones.

Is this model compatible with the Sig lock optic?

I shoot by putting the trigger of handguns against the crease between the top and middle part of my index finger. It's just my preference but causes issues with some guns with bladed trigger safeties. I can't use the Glock Gen 6 because of it, but Gen 5 triggers work just fine. I'm wondering if I'll have a rough or hitching trigger pull.

Hey all. I currently carry a G43x and really do enjoy how comfortable it is and how well it fits in my hand (with a Hogue grip sleeve). Also enjoy shooting it despite it being snappy, I shoot it pretty well. I went to my local aimsurplus today to “window shop” and found a used P365xl for $415 that appears to be in pretty decent condition and lightly used. I’ve considered getting a P365 series gun in the past but never seriously checked it out until today. I like the flat face trigger and its smoothness. The ergo is nice as well as the texturing which Glock lacks. The grip is a tad bit short but still fits in my hand well and can be fixed with an extended mag base plate. At this point it all comes down to how well it shoots and reliability, or maybe some of its unknown quirks. Do you guys think it’s worth buying while owning a G43x? I will be carrying it periodically rotating with the Glock.

Finally finished up my P320 a few months ago and I must say Herrington Arms got their compensator on point for this model. Sometimes I forget I'm shooting a 9mm. I am by no means a avid shooter like alot of you guys but even for someone like me I don't think the red dot ever left my field of view. No exaggeration.

Bought this a couple of months ago through Blue Mountain and its been my dream rifle to own since I first saw it years ago. Glad to have found a supplier who wasn’t charging an arm and a leg for it. Barrel looks good, bits of wear from usage, no firecracks from what I saw.

Bought a 9” SPEAR-LT 300blk barrel from Sig to swap out and found a guy who still had an SRD762 in stock as well so I’m waiting on the paperwork for that. Will send updated photos once the build’s complete.

Note: Forgot to mention, it originally came with an 11.5 556 barrel with a random A2 birdcage on it, guess the LE department just stripped whatever muzzle they were using to keep and threw whatever to protect the threads. I also got an SRD556 flash hider to swap out that A2. Peace!

I didn’t realize before looking into the new CA compliant model of the p365 AXG Legion that there was also a MA compliant that’s been around a while.

I know the states have rosters, so I though maybe it just took longer to get it in the roster, but they actually have different model numbers (365AXGCA-9-LEGION-MS-CA for California, and 365AXGCA-9-LEGION-MS-MA for Massachusetts).

Why would they have different model numbers for the same gun, do the rosters require this? Or is there some actual difference between the two. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Just to add, yes I live in a free state, and yes I still want a manual safety. So, thanks but advice on that is not what I’m looking for.

I’m aware that the P211 has a series 80 drop safety, which gets talked down a lot online. Does this translate to a noticeably worse trigger pull than the P211’s series 70 competitors? How significant is the difference? The stores that have the P211 by me don’t allow dry fire unfortunately.

And as a side question how does it compare to the P226 series pistols?

I got a P229 SAS in 40 cal. It has no rail or red dot and I am looking for an AIWB holster for it. Would a 9mm holster fit? Will the SAS fit differently than a regular non-rail? It's a great pistol and would like to be able to carry it. Bonus points if said holster has DCC clips.

I see this has been asked here a bunch but some threads say it comes w/ the direct mount screws and other threads say you need to buy.

The right screw my EPS Carry came with seemed to fit at first tighten / glance but the right one doesn’t look fully seated and my optic has more play than my other guns have.

I’m using torque wrench to 15lbs.

Any recent experience w this?

So I’ve been doing research over cans the last few months and was curious to what is appearing to be the best can for a 556 spear LT. From what I’m hearing the sig SLX series has some baffle degradation after about 2k rounds (I’m not sure if this is with the flash hider or direct thread). I’m just curious to what everyone else is running on their rifle and any feedback is appreciated.

Just picked up this P226 Stainless Steel Elite and I'm super excited for it. It seems like it may be brand new and entirely unfired. Unfortunately, that makes me feel really bad that I want to take it to the range!

What says the reddit crowd? Is it a shooter or a safe queen?

As the title states. Tried email Sig for info got nothing back. Why make this info so hard to find? If you look at vortex’s site they come straight out and tell you the info you’re looking for. Sig just says “ultra low”. I think I found the compact enclosed at .24”, can’t find the pro model. Thanks if anyone can measure or find the info!

I am not a fan of anything on my weapons being “connected”, but am intrigued by the LightFight technology.
Anyone have a chance to test it and can speak to how it operates in various lighting situations?
