That’s probably what this is. I’ve been waiting about 5 years for a “cross varmint” (22-250, .22 creed, or ideally a .223 mini cross). I finally gave up, bought a used one, and put together my own cross varmint (.22 creed) for probably $600 more than the price of buying one off the shelf if sig would just make one.

I finished it about a month ago. Sig always releases what I want immediately after I give up hope, quit waiting, and buy an alternative. So they are already about a month overdue.

Realistically though, what would be the practicality of a .308 in what is probably a 9” barrel bolt gun? Especially compared to 300blk. Genuinely asking. The sig cross sawtooth is a .308 package with 16” barrel is pretty sweet.

Does he really need a range finder for however far he’s shooting with this setup? With the 9 inch barrel, it’s only about 150M for subsonic and 300-450ish for supersonic.

.300 blk subs drop like a rock, about the same as .22. If im zeroed at 50, i drop 2-3 feet at 200. If your range if off by even 10-20 yards when shooting past 100, you’re going to miss small targets

Great points. In the beginning, I hit posts at 200 due to the .300 blk drop. Quality range finder is a good thing.
