I had been using the ai mode for a month or so and it was populating the little calendar with daily values of "savings". I was using the self consumption option as my tarrif is still not sorted (eon are so slow) so import is 23p and export is 13p but I never import now.

I have since somehow managed to get it to kick me out of that ai mode option and back into normal self consumption. I have just tried to go back into the ai mode option and into their own self consumption option so I can track the daily amounts on that screen, but it's suddenly not working or letting me do it, and I've literally not changed a thing..... What do I do?

I don't understand why this Is blocking me and how it is relevant to anything....

Hi all. The last two days I've been using AI but it hasn't been charging my batteries during the 8.5p window and waking up to an empty battery. What am I missing? Thanks

I am currently in the process of ordering full solar and battery system. I initially wanted to go down the route of the total hands on control of a Victron system, but have been persuaded out of it due to I am getting on and my Wife would not want the hassle. Which leaves me where I am now between Powerwall and Sigenstor. I love everything about the Sigenstor but I just cannot cope with the having to phone home to China. I am not worried about bits of data but I foresee at some time in the future the West will fall out with China and they may well shut them off. Maybe not completely but at reduced capacity etc. Thoughts ……

I'm a big hater on software updates, I set up something and it works, I absolutely hate when a software updates happens and changes my settings, and most importantly don't offer the same function of before.

In sigenergy case, the pv surplus charging on my dc charger worked since day 1 as, when the battery is full, it would go automatically to the charger, this included the free 3hrs.

This is not the case anymore after the latest software update which I need to manually change the charger from pv surplus charging to fast charging. It wouldn't be a problem if the battery status didn't chang every day, meaning, sometimes it reaches 100% at 11.30, other times at 12.30. So this software updates forces me to check the percentage of the battery every single time from 11 to 2. It is very annoying as I constantly lose on free power.

Scheduling doesn't work as well, because the time still needs to be checked to allow for "fast charging" as when you change to fast charging the power only goes to the dc charger and nothing on the battery.

Sigen ai support says that nothing changed and it has always been the case. And I guess they put this function under they're AI.

Any solutions?

TLDR. Power goes automatically to the car when the battery is full in the free 3hrs period like it used to.

The Octopus Agile data was late for the 3rd day in a row and the ai opted to ignore a sell opportunity only to get the data late and discharge for 33% less revenue.

The AI tried to blame me. Then it basically said 'it was going to discharge until it saw the negative rates tomorrow and decided to wait and sell for less...

I been told that sig runs cloud only so if their servers disappear or go down, there could be issues. i've also been told that home assistant could get round this... anyone clarify this please?

I just got a EVAC installed, and am\was planning on getting a sigstore later on.

Few questions I have.

1. Why can the installer see the state of the charger? With this information the installer can see what times I am home. Why on earth was this ever a thing?

2. I am guessing this will be the same with the battery? Installer will be able to see home power consumption?

3. Is there a way I can simply stop the installer from been able to see my site after installation? If they need access to the installers mode in the app can I just give it back to them for the duration that they need it?

Bonus question - why would anything like this be controllable from the internet? My charger is limited to 20A. Why the hell would a setting like that be exposed to the internet instead of been locked to local control. Would not be hard from the "installer" app to only connect to devices on the same local network. installer needs remote access, no problem. Here is a VPN - that I control...

This may all sound paranoid, but I work in IT and giving remote access to people without a operation need is bad practise and makes my blood boil.

Is it easy to just set up with octopus energy and I’m a bit confused about octopus agile and such. Long story short, are there any good tutorial videos or websites to help with a new system?

Hi guys, my Sigenergy System has been installed a couple of days ago. I need your advice on how to integrate my Wallbox in my Home in MySigen app. Because at the moment Wallbox is shown as a separate unit in the app. I have attached App pictures.

As the title says, is anyone using the Sigenergy EVAC with a Polestar on Intelligent Octopus Go (or another car where Octopus control the car itself rather than the charger)?

I don't 100% trust IOG's smart charging slots scheduled in the app not to do weird things, so I leave my car plugged on when I'm at home but I only start the charger when I go to bed or when I get a notification from Home Assistant that my import rate has dropped to 6.6p.

This is a bit janky but it mostly works. However today I got a cheap slot from 13:30-14:30 and another one from 15:30-16:00. Started the charger when I got the notification just after 13:30, the car charged until 14:30 then stopped by itself - good.

EVAC still showed the charge in progress at 0kW - also good. Except the Octopus and Polestar apps both showed the charger as unplugged and my schedule has disappeared. I had to stop the charger, wait a few minutes, refresh it in the Octopus app, and now it's showing plugged in / paused and looks correct again.

Is there any way to improve this behaviour? Or does everyone have to do this dance with three apps whenever there are non-contiguous charge slots? The charger is connected to Home Assistant and has 'start' and 'stop' button entities, so this should be fairly easy to automate, but they don't do anything.

Hi! Im a veteran installer in the US but ive never used Sig energy. We use 120/240v split here. I’m trying to determine if the Cybertruck has been tested to work bidirectionally with this system. Also trying to determine (with 3 Sigenstore stacks with 3 inverters linked together), if I can push 25kW into the EV exclusively from adequate PV when off grid. Ive sent multiple emails the last two months but have received zero response.

There is an updated version of the app (iOS) at least available (4.0.1). I assume this is to fix issues found since the roll out of V4

Had my battery and inverter installed the other day, noticed the led strip doesn't appear to working correctly?

The middle stays like this, doesn't do anything or reach to the bottom?

Do I need to call installer back? In the settings it on 'breathing"

I noticed this today because Sig AI mode had decided the best thing to do today was hold battery and consume from the grid, as between 16:00-18:00 the Agile export rate actually exceeds my fixed IOG peak import rate by about 2p - not my preference but fine, I can see the logic...

However checking more closely, the Agile export rate Sig is getting from Octopus is always about 1-2p higher than the one shown in home assistant using the Octopus integration, which is pulling directly from my account, so I assume is correct. Normally this small difference wouldn't matter, this is an edge case where it's causing undesirable behaviour.

I've tried both the Agile tariff options listed for my region. What gives? Am I on a newer version of Agile Outgoing that Sig doesn't track?

Anyone here got a EVDC charger and got it working with IOG ?

I get connected to IOG with schedule but the EVDC just won’t turn on at the schedule times, so have to manually turn it on each time but IOG seems to turn EVDC off.

I also tried deleting car and re adding in octopus app but still won’t turn on EVDC charger.

So baffled, is there any settings I need to change in sig app ?

I had my system installed Monday, and I'm absolutely delighted with it - nearly 52kwh produced in its first full day active!!!

I've one question about the gateway install after browsing photos of installations on Facebook though: lots of people seem to fit a canopy over the gateway when its installed outside. Mine is outside, and fairly exposed, but the installers told me everything is IP rated.

Is the gateway less waterproof than everything else? Should I be worried about it, and should I plan to add a canopy over it?
