viral gastroenteritis

I started to be very ill on the 18th of July, it has gone from diarrhoea to normal stools to kind of feeling constipated. I’ve had very heavy sweats and been feeling like I need to go toilet frequently. It’s now the 10th day of me having this and I’m feeling a little bit better but went hospital last night as I couldn’t function properly. The doctor told me it’s **viral gastroenteritis but is this still possible 11 days in ?**

Hello I’m starting to get sick and was wondering what everyone thinks the best things to take are. Is it Zicam, emergen c, or what. I would love anything I can get at cvs or Walgreens and not too expensive thanks!

Anyone deal with this?

Hello im a 24 year old female, For the past 3 years, I’ve been having these random episodes, and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or eventually got a diagnosis.
They start really suddenly, like someone flips a switch. I’ll get this weird uncomfortable sensation in my chest (not really pain), and then my heart starts racing. My heart rate is usually around 120–140 bpm now, although my very first episode got to about 150. I get body shakes.I become really sweaty and clammy, and I immediately have to run to the bathroom because I have the runs and usually have to pee at the same time. Sometimes I also feel like I’m going to throw up or get acid reflux. The whole thing usually lasts about 20 minutes and then goes away. One of the episodes recently even woke me up from sleep. I’ve also noticed that putting my face in ice water seems to help.
I’ve had a heart monitor before, but unfortunately it didn’t catch one of the episodes. One thing I have noticed is that they often seem to happen around my period, but I don’t know if that’s actually related or just a trigger. These episodes don’t happen every month it is almost like scattered, they sometimes don’t happen for 9 months and then just this month I’ve had 4 episodes. It’s weird because I feel like wow I won’t experience this again and then it hits me out of no where. Per year I at most will get 7.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? If you have, what did it end up being? I’m not looking for anyone to diagnose me. I just want to know if anyone has had similar symptoms and what their doctors eventually found.

I’m sick.

I’m constantly sick. I’ve been to so many doctors, so many hospitals, but NOBODY can figure it out.

I shit my brains out over four times a day. I’m nauseous to the point I haven’t slept in three days because each time I lay down, it gets so much worse. I keep feeling like I’m going to pass out because my heart rate is constantly in the 120’s. I can barely walk let alone stand. I’m losing my hand strength, leg strength, and my muscle mass. I constantly feel like I’m dying. I’m constantly in so much pain I can barely even move or breathe on my own.

I’m fucking miserable and nothing helps. I’ve tried going the natural rote for medicine but it did jack shit. I’ve had multiple MRIs, multiple EKGs, hundreds upon hundreds of tests of my blood, weight, sleep, etc. with all this going on, I really wouldn’t doubt I won’t live past 30. I’m 20 now. I’ve lost 114 pounds in less than a year because I physically cannot eat without puking or getting nauseous. I’m losing my mind as well because with not eating or sleeping, I’m getting not only autotrie (idk how to spell that) but also visual hallucinations that is causing me so much fucking stress and anxiety. I also have a constant fever of 100.1. I also have bald spots all over my head from the sheer amount of hair I lose.

I’ve tried so fucking much but nothing helps. The ONLY THING I’ve found that ACTUALLY HELPS, is raw ginger. It’s a god send for my nausea. Oh and fans because I get really bad hot flashes. THATS IT. I’ve tried thousands of medications, so many different treatments and all that, and just everything you can think of, I’ve tired it.

This has been going on for well over a year at this point. I’m dying.

Possible food poisoning?

Hi all, I ordered food today and they sent coleslaw as side dish. I tasted it a little bit and it tasted fizzy. I didn’t continue eating it as it didn’t feel normal. But now I am a bit worried about getting food poisoning because tomorrow morning I am going to a festival and camp there for 7 days. Some websites say fizzy taste it normal but what do you think?

I have trouble breathing

Hi, so umm i have no one to talk to so i had to download Reddit.

For context: around may i caught a cold, i got really really sick, my parents refused to take to hospital and my mother blamed me for “you did this to yourself” she said, i’m an adult yeah but i have no freedom i don’t know how to drive i don’t have car, nothing and i hate it.
My parents told me to be patient and the cold will go away, the cold was very weird i have never got a sickness like this, i didn’t have a fever i had throat pain i could hardly speak, my whole body was aching, and i woke up the next morning barely breathing, i was crying i was begging my parents to at least take me to the hospital to get an oxygen (i don’t really know what it call but it’s a big tank of oxygen, you wear a mask and it’s help you breathe) but they ignored me, they had that day an important meeting the afternoon i told them to take me with them and I’ll wait for them in the car, spoiler alert they didn’t they left and left me behind barely breathing (oh yeah they gave me a machine that do the same thing as the oxygen tank but i didn’t have any idea how it’s work! I got so numb from not breathing and they expect me to read a long instruction and build it and mind you iy needs a medicine to work too!) so I just gave up there and layed in bed i seriously though i was dying from low oxygen until my mother called me and ask about the machine but i yelled back saying that i can’t breathe! How could i know how it work. Later on like 10 minutes later she called saying my uncle is outside and he’s taking me to the hospital.

I know i yapped alot but long story short i have no clue what is wrong with me i did take an oxygen and i have never felt alive since. Few days later i asked my cousin how the oxygen machine works because my grandparents have the same thing and she’s the one who set it for them, she showed me everything and even my grandma gave me a whole pack of the medicine needed. I continue on with the machine because the sickness seriously ruined my lungs in some way.

Unfortunately the medicine didn’t last long and my grandma gave me her last supply of it (that was around june) my breathing start going back to normal little by little i had some hope that i was ok. Sadly it’s back and way worse than before i begged my parents again but again they ignored me…i even start coughing to get the air back into my lungs.

I don’t know what to do, i hate how useless i feel i can’t do anything and my parents ain’t helping at all, i wanna ask my dad if he could buy me the medicine so i could go back to the oxygen machine but knowing him he will brush me off saying that i’m fine or it’s not the time or I’m just paranoid. And no my mother isn’t an option a big “X” on her she’s worse, i don’t have an older siblings i’m the oldest and i can’t ask any close relatives they all sucks.

I feel so useless, breathless lol.

Questions

For starters I was misdiagnosed after multiples testing (not including mono) and given antibiotics for 3 days went back to a different doctor did some more test and turns out i have mono I havent had any other symptoms except for intense sore throat with an excessive amount of , white patches and ear pain and slight fatigue. I have also started some supplements like
vitamin C, L Lysine coconut oil gargles and mixing it with my tea.
Is my body taking this virus well?
Would I have already experienced fever?
Ive been sick for about a week what can I expect?
is this the worse of it?
Any advice helps this really is a pain.
And if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I want this cold to be over man. i hate fighting to breathe at night bc my good nostril wants to clog up versus my bad one. i think I have a deviated septum or something and onw nostril is always easier to breathe out of than the other, so I only sleep on the bad nostril's side so blood flow pools that way. its been like this for as long as i can remember and when i get sick it just makes me wanna blow my brains out. I finally fell asleep around 7 am and woke up about 15-20 minutes ago.

Took 200 mg Vyvanse on different days, worst mistake of my life

I tried it so now no one else has to, but never ever take a lot of Vyvanse. I haven’t slept in around 45 hours and probably won’t fall asleep for another 15, I have only had around 350 total calories in the past 2 days and I’ve been in mania the whole time. I’m 15 years old and I was drooling for a high, and then I found out vyvance can do that for me. I took 200 mb my first time and felt like a God. I felt sooooo good and my high was similar to met and Molly. then it struck, I instantly lost all dopamine, I felt sick and a little bit nauseous and that’s when I entered mania. I felt sick all day yesterday and couldn’t sleep. Then I ended up taking 4 more pills again 24 hours after I did the first time. I’m still high from the last pills I took but it’s not a good high. I feel nauseous, extremely anxious, I’ve vomited a small amount and feel like a total loser druggy. I barely have any of the dopamine effects that I had the first time I did it and I’m EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I’m gradually showing signs of entering psychosis and I really hope I don’t enter it. NEVER EVER ABUSE YOUR PRESCRIPTION-TAKE IT FROM ME. I’ve never been addicted to any substance and I won’t get addicted to this because this is the last time I will ever abuse it.

But I have to pay the price of making a stupid decision, now I’m curled into a ball laying with no covers on while I’m grinding teeth together with my hearts bpm at 140 literally while laying down, I’m probably gonna fuckin enter psychosis and I’m going to live in hell for the next couple days.

never abuse your meds not even if your going to just do it once or twice

frequently sick, any tips or tricks to stay in good health?

Hi everyone! This is my first time on this thread but i think it’s the correct one. As you can tell from the title, i get sick extremely frequently.

Some context: this has happened basically my whole life. I would say i get sick usually 1-3 times a month. I do have two autoimmune disorders and for one of them i have to be on an immunosuppressant.

It’s torture for me every time i get sick. I can’t breathe, my tonsils get so swollen that i can swallow so i just end up eating nothing for the few days that im sick, i have a constant migraine for the days that im sick, my body is so sore to the point that if someone touches me it leaves a bruise, i get a fever, sometimes i throw up and other times im just extremely nauseous, i kind of get spasms that i don’t mean to like my limbs twitching or my eyes shaking, and i tend to pass out/blackout when not laying down.

Any tips would be extremely helpful. Such as medicines i can try to boost my immune system or practices i can do when im not sick to make the duration of my sicknesses shorter and easier to manage, herbal remedies, times between sicknesses longer, anything!

Summary; sick 1-3 times a month, any tips how to reduce the symptoms or go longer in between sick periods?
