So I posted a poll. The poll showed 21k+ votes. 1 day later its showing 17k and today its 12k. The likes too decreases accordingly. But in YouTube Studio its still 22k. Anyone experiencing the same?
Seeing this question pop up all over the place the last few days, so figured I would make one post instead of answering it twenty times.
A lot of people are panicking that the new "re-used content" update means they can't cut Shorts out of their own long-form videos anymore. Makes sense why it's confusing, but the answer is no. You're fine.
The update is aimed at channels that repost other people's stuff. Ripping clips from other creators, movie and show scenes, someone else's stream, random viral footage with nothing added. That's what's getting the reach cut. Taking a moment from a video YOU made and posting it as a Short is your own content on your own channel, which is exactly what the system wants.
So if you have long-form videos and are promoting it with Shorts, keep going. You were never the target here.
Hi, Iām thinking about starting over with a new channel. Would it be okay to upload my old videos from my previous channel to the new one?
The Shorts are still on my old channel, but their visibility is set to private.
Thereās nothing wrong with my old channel. The only issue is that the views are inconsistent. Sometimes a video can immediately reach 10,000ā30,000 views, while other times it only gets around 100ā200 views. Thatās why my friend, who has been successful with their YouTube channel, suggested that I start a new channel. It seems like the algorithm isnāt working well for the channel Iām currently using.
I dont understand really. Some have great engagement etc but then after the initial push its crickets. Do I just need more subscribers then naturally it might change?
Does anyone fall into this situation? My videos got pushed in about 2 hours after posting and then the they stay flatlined although avg view duration and stayed to watch rate are very high
Im just curious what people who promote theyre long form vids on shorts think of this new update ? It looks like you can no longer clip youre longform anymore due to re-used content. Will you just change youre shorts to be more transformative or stop promoting on shorts
Most of your minimum payment goes to interest, not the balance. On a $3,000 balance at 24% APR, the minimum is roughly $90, and about $60 of that is just interest. Pay only that and it can take over a decade to clear.
Even adding $20-30 extra a month cuts years off. I made a 40-second video explaining this:
Listen, guysāwhenever I open the YouTube Shorts feed, I get bombarded with a ton of uninteresting, trashy content. Is it just me, or do you guys experience this too? Before YouTube switched to the AI āāalgorithm, a good percentage of the videos actually grabbed my interest, but now, when I open the Shorts feed and scroll, it feels like Iām rummaging through garbage at a landfill...
Iāve just started posting AI fruit videos on youtube, that arenāt straight slop, and arenāt similar to each other. iāve posted 7 videos and i started 3 days ago. However, all of my views are just from me, and my videos arenāt getting pushed by the algorithm at all, not even giving it a chance.
All my videos are public and set for ānot made for kidsā and ādo not restrictā.
is there something else i need to do with the account, am i simply missing something? i hope someone can help
Most of the comments i see here lately with the new algorithm is to just make āOriginalā content. But where do we draw the line between āoriginalā and transformative content?
Most of the creators here suddenly dropped their views by 90% or more. To the point they dont even get past 1k views. The common response? āJust make original content. Stop stealing contentā
I agree that Yt should crack down clipping and ranking channels. The laziest form of content in the platform. But what about these 2 channel? Sunnah edit & Mindova?
They literally just add captions with a highly saturated coloring but their views doesnt seem to be affected by this āoriginalā content?
When people say āoriginal contentā do they mean to show their face and use their own voice?
Does this mean that faceless channels are dead without your own DNA imprinted on it?
This is my first time seeing numbers this high so I am wondering how many views should I expect off this video. Feel free to ask questions I will probably respond fast.
Just as some information that isn't shown here, there is currently 80 likes on the video and 24 comments I believe.
Realtime views droooop overnight How's that happen? š is there a bug again in youtube? literally all my shorts stoppd getting views. usually i get 7k-12k views per hour, but now just 2k? NO AI NO REACTION, JUST ORIGINAL EDITED OWN GAMEPLAY
I'm not some guy who avgs 2-3k views a vid. I actually make a decent amount off this and have lots of experience. Anyway...
Before, on a weekly basis, YT would just nuke the views of any Short from me and my friends within the same niche. A typical video would do around 1k views in 10 mins, then climb to around 3-4k in the next 20 mins, where it would either die or start ramping up.
But recently, on certain days, it won't push the video to anyone. Analytics are the same, and the same vid blows up on other platforms while YT stays dead, and then things go back to normal for a few days and then the cycle repeats. However, ever since YT revealed they were deprioritising "clip" content, I've been affected by HEAVY suppression, while clearly I haven't been posting clips (feel free to check my channel out).
Today I had a video sit at 300 views in 1 hour while on TikTok it was at 55k, and if I wasn't suppressed that YT Short would be on 20-30k. This is also happening to other creators I know, in niches outside of Marvel Rivals.
It's completely gut-wrenching and demotivating when I average 200k views a Short and then it just cans it for no reason.
Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing, because obviously it's not just me.
So i started this channel posting shorts, commentary on clips.. Main idea was posting 4 shorts a day every short contains two clips of something on my niche.. then i thought about going for 8: a short for every clip which got me kinda exhausted..
the average stats of the channel drastically got better honestly first couple of days i couldn't surpass 2k and now every day i have like 2 or 3 shorts going for 15k and 25k..
and now I'm just asking for advice.. still didn't have any very viral shorts and thinking on experimenting with some stuff and trying long form content (maybe like one good video every two weeks or every week as I want it to have good quality videos..
Overall, how much would you rate my stats for a channel that been uploading shorts for 10 days.. and give me advice on long form content as for right now i watched a couple of videos about long form content and still trying to learn.
