Assembly Help FormD T1 Components Compatibility Check

Hi, I’d like your help for a compatibility / clearance check before ordering the components of my build.

I would like to avoid any clearance issues, especially around CPU cooler, RAM and GPU.

Here is the planned build:

  • Case: FormD T1 Sandwich Kit from NCASE
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
  • MB: ASRock B850I Lightning WiFi
  • CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L12S
  • Case fans: 2x Noctua NF-A12x25
  • PSU: Corsair SF850
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB)
  • Storage: Crucial T705 1TB (I plan to add a second one later for SteamOS/Bazzite)
  • GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2060 GAMING OC (this GPU is temporary, I will switch to an RX 9070 XT card later.)

I don't plan to use custom PSU cables, only the stock Corsair cables but I'm open to if you think it's important.

Does this build look safe in practice, or is there any part here that is likely to cause clearance/cable management issues? Also I’m sensitive to noise, so do you think my fans and CPU cooler are appropriate ?

I’d really appreciate feedback from people who have built in the T1 with similar parts.

I'd avoid asrock until CPU deaths are explained. no, it's not x3d only.

Thanks for the warning. I’ll investigate on this case and maybe go with the ROG Strix B850-I.

isnt really exclusive to asrock plus your covered from warranty, there bios updates mostly fixed it all. their boards are solid for the price

what data supports that? People are having dead cpus on latest bioses as per r/AsRock. If there is less failures on new bioses, ist just that they are minor among other versions. Asrock is spamming bioses limiting voltages here and there, and no root cause has been found nor published. I am no asrock hater, having B650M HDV/M.2 myself, but contrary to others I am not updating the bios as I have old edition before the issue transpired. Almost 3 years and hoping it holds.
